Hundreds of gallons for $1.10 with a pried open gas pump, remote control
LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — High gas prices led to “numerous reports of diesel fuel thefts” around South Florida and a detective with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office took down two suspects who allegedly used high-tech equipment to steal several hundred gallons of diesel. Now folks, this did not occur in Lake Worth Beach but just east of the turnpike on Lake Worth Road. And as a reminder, the name of our city was changed by the voters with help from the then commission several years back because our city was always being highlighted for every crime around us. The name change was supposed to help our image. It hasn't.
The two thieves even concealed their license plate as they siphoned off diesel fuel.
I hate a thief more than anything.

I've seen this happen a lot, if you observe you see a lot of this happening a lot of like the subcontractors for AT&t and road construction and road work and even some of the day laborers for doing landscaping you see them doing the same thing and putting it the gas in plastic containers and they're taking it when they're out in the field not in front of their employers and they're doing the same thing I'm sure there's a lot of theft involved right now with gas because it's so expensive so it forces people to steal a lot and if you are really observant you can see it happening a lot all around by a lot of workers nowadays that have access to gas that belongs to their company, likely even the city employees steal a lot of gas when they're out doing work too it happens a lot you see it all the time.
