The man who fought Democrat San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan’s security detail Tuesday has been identified. The altercation was caught on video as Mahan was in the middle of a KRON4 interview.The suspect was identified as 35-year-old Wesley Pollard of an unknown residence, according to the San Jose Police Department. He remains in custody at Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas (used to live in this town) with a bail of $26,000.
Pollard was booked for resisting an arrest with violence and for battery of an officer, SJPD said. It was later discovered that Pollard had a warrant for his arrest from Georgia for resisting arrest with violence.

Since September 2023, the Federal Government has released over 130,000 migrant street drop-offs in the city of San Diego. The street drop-offs are predominately young male adults ages 18-35. Thousands of Chinese Nationals are also included in the street-drops.San Diego County is currently the epicenter of illegal immigration. With Texas and Arizona clamping down on illegal border crossings, human smugglers are taking the path of least resistance through California, particularly the San Diego border sector. In one week, early April 2024, the San Diego Border sector had 6,997 encounters. That used to be a monthly number; now, it’s weekly.
California politicians in Sacramento have rolled out the red carpet for illegal immigration. The Sanctuary State of California promises free health care and will not turn migrants over to Immigration. San Diego County citizens pay for any migrant’s attorney to keep them from being deported, no matter what the reason or crime.
The 130,000 street drops do not include the dozens of migrants in boats that run ashore on our beaches at a rate of about four boatloads a week.

Schoen said Merchan's disqualification is mandatory under New York law 100.3 e(1)d(iii), which states "a judge shall disqualify himself or herself in a proceeding in which the judge's impartiality might reasonably be questioned, including but not limited to instances where the judge knows that the judge or the judge's spouse, or a person known by the judge to be within the sixth degree of relationship to either of them, or the spouse of such a person has an interest that could be substantially affected by the proceeding."
"This judge has no interest in being fair," Schoen told "Eric Bolling: The Balance." "The American Bar Association put out a thing last week or so, saying that the lawyers should be standing up for these judges. I don't have an interest in standing up for a judge who shouldn't be on a case."

Judge Dismisses Trump Juror over Concerns About Her Identity Becoming Public
New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan “abruptly” dismissed a previously approved juror on Thursday after she raised concerns about her identity becoming public, according to court reporters.The woman told the judge overseeing the case that she had developed concerns about her identity becoming public. Although the judge has kept prospective jurors’ names private, they have disclosed their employers and other identifying information in court.
After excusing her, the judge, Juan M. Merchan, instructed reporters to no longer detail where a prospective juror works. “I have the legal authority to do it,” the judge said of blocking the news media from reporting identifying employer information.

1. The foreman, who works in sales, lives in Harlem but is originally from Ireland.

Last Wednesday, a sewer main broke in Lake Worth Beach, causing a big stink.Viewers have called our newsroom concerned about the leak, dead fish, and the awful smell.
According to Lake Worth Beach officials, an AT&T worker putting in fiber optic cable broke the sewer main.
The gushing sewage caused part of the road to cave in.
The liquid eventually spilled into the canal and even into Lake Osborne.

An example of this stark contrast in punishment can be seen in the potential sentences faced by a group of pro-life protesters and a man who firebombed the offices of a pro-life organization.
In May 2022, Hridindu Sankar Roychowdhury firebombed the Wisconsin Family Action offices in response to a leaked Supreme Court ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson, causing a fire and leaving a threatening message. Despite this serious crime, Roychowdhury has now been sentenced to only 7 1/2 years in prison.
On the other hand, the pro-life protesters, who peacefully sang hymns and prayed outside an abortion clinic in Tennessee, potentially face up to 10 1/2 years in prison, a hefty fine, and years of supervised release. Their crime? Violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, which prohibits obstruction or intimidation of those seeking to obtain or perform an abortion.

Under the legislation, Maine joins the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, which would only take effect if the coalition secures pledges for at least 270 electoral votes – the threshold needed to elect a president. Sixteen states and Washington, D.C. have joined the compact for a total of 205 electoral votes thus far. With Maine, the total of electoral votes increases to 209 – 61 short of the compact taking effect.
Republicans fiercely oppose it, describing the scheme as an end run around the U.S. Constitution.

Introduced in 2006, as of April 2024 it has been adopted by seventeen states and the District of Columbia. These jurisdictions have 209 electoral votes, which is 39% of the Electoral College and 77% of the 270 votes needed to give the compact legal force.
