Constant Struggle in the Courts over the 2nd Amendment

Court Upholds Ban on ‘Unusually Dangerous Weapons’

A federal appeals court Thursday refused to block two Connecticut gun control laws despite arguments that they violated the Second Amendment.

The laws faced two separate challenges from the National Association for Gun Rights, the Second Amendment Foundation, and others, who asked the Second Circuit Court of Appeals to temporarily block the laws.

But on Thursday, a three-judge panel of the court declined to do so, saying the laws were constitutional because they preserved “numerous legal alternatives for self-defense” despite their restriction of “unusually dangerous weapons.”

The challenged laws included a 2013 ban on certain firearms and large capacity magazines—passed in response to the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting in Newtown, CT—and a 2023 law that further restricted access to what gun control advocates call “assault weapons.”

The groups opposing the laws based their challenge largely on the 2022 Supreme Court decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, which said that laws restricting guns must be rooted in U.S. “history and tradition.” They also cited District of Columbia v. Heller, a landmark case from 2008 that held that the Second Amendment “confer[s] an individual right to keep and bear arms.”

The National Association for Gun Rights says it plans to return to the district court, where the case will be heard on the merits.

Illinois to ban Assault weapons and the AR-15

'Assault Weapons' Ban to Take Effect in Just a Few Weeks After Supreme Court Declines to Block It

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday refused to issue a temporary block of a radical Illinois law that bans so-called “assault weapons,” leaving the state clear to launch the far-reaching ban on Jan. 1.

They are including an AR-15 as an assault weapon.

This reminds me of the liberals on a past dais in Lake Worth, insisting that the AR-15 was an assault weapon. I even set him straight at a commission meeting.

No self-respecting gun owner would ever call his AR-15 an assault rifle, but many who’ve never done their research think the “AR” in “AR-15” stands for “Assault Rifle.” It doesn't...look it up.

U.S. connection to weapons used in Hamas Massacre

US weapons left behind in Afghanistan used to attack Israel

The Scary Connection Between U.S. Weaponry and Hamas

The Biden administration’s recent foreign policy decisions have created a disaster for the security of the world. In light of the recent $6 billion prisoner swap with Iran, many wonder if funding and or weaponry may have made its way into the hands of terrorists like Hamas.

Joe Biden’s election was hailed as a promise of change and a leap forward from the Trump administration, whatever the hell that means. However, his foreign policy decisions have been anything but progressive or beneficial to the world.

In fact, recent reports suggest that his missteps have enabled terrorist groups like Hamas to access weapons, which is an extremely concerning development for Israel and other countries in the region.
@LPMisesCaucus
It's possible Hamas was sold weapons from Ukraine as well, not just Afghanistan. And the US political class is now calling for military support of Israel as a result. Prior intervention begets future intervention. This is how blowback always works.

DIMS want to tax gun dealers 1000% on assault weaons

Biden Mulls Exec Order End Run of 2A as House Dems Push 1,000% Excise Tax on 'Assault Weapons,' High-Capacity Mags

As a new federal edict could come down that vastly changes the definition of a gun dealer, House Democrats are pushing to slap a massive tax on what they term “assault weapons.”

On Friday, 25 House Democrats proposed a 1,000 percent excise tax on so-called assault weapons and large capacity magazines, according to Fox News.

The bill was sponsored by Rep. Don Beyer of Virginia and 24 other Democrats. Republicans control the House with a narrow majority.

The NY Times said the new provision “could set a threshold number of transactions that would define a dealer; gun-control groups hope to see it at five sales a year or lower. The rules will be backed up by a renewed push to prosecute businesses that refuse to register, by accessing bank records, storage unit leases and other expenses associated with running an off-the-books gun business.”

All of this was gleefully supported by the gun control group Giffords, set up by former Democratic Rep. Gabby Giffords of Arizona, as well as Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut.

Biden to sign Executive Order on Gun Control

Biden to Sign New Executive Order on Gun Control

President Joe Biden is expected to sign an executive order aiming to increase the number of background checks to buy guns, promote better and more secure firearms storage, and ensure U.S. law enforcement agencies are getting the most out of a bipartisan gun control law enacted last summer.

The president plans to unveil his latest efforts at curbing gun violence in a speech from Monterey Park, California.

"Ban assault weapons once and for all," says Joe.

While semi-automatic rifles such as the AR-15 are a major flashpoint in the gun control debate and are often the focus of attention following mass shootings, there are only about 20 million assault rifles in the United States, a fraction of the estimated 400 million guns in the country. Instead, according to ABC News contributor and former FBI agent Brad Garrett, handguns account for the most gun murders in the U.S.

Joe's irresponsible and unconstitutional demand

16 Attorney Generals sign letter stating Joe Biden's "assault weapons ban" is flagrantly unconstitutional

Attorney generals from 16 states sent a letter warning President Joe Biden that his proposed "assault weapons ban" is "unconstitutional," Townhall reported. Biden said he would outlaw these guns during his State of the Union address earlier this month.

On Feb. 7, Biden delivered his speech and used the case of Brandon Tsay, who was confronted by a gunman at his dance studio, to push his agenda. The 26-year-old managed to wrestle the gun away from a would-be shooter who had already killed 11 others at another dance studio.

Americans possess an estimated 45 million lawfully owned semiautomatic rifles in the United States," the attorneys continued. "Thus, when Americans hear that you plan to come after our so-called 'assault weapons' we brace ourselves for an attack on ordinary, safe, and highly effective weapons commonly used for self and home defense by over 100 million Americans."

These state attorneys are ready to mount a legal attack, but Biden and the Democrats are never deterred by something as trivial as legality.

Armed Robotic dogs - Dealing with the Devil

China Unveils Armed Robot Dogs

RoyalPatriot.com - Video footage was released this week showing an armed Chinese military robot dog being tested. The robot is believed to be armed with a machine gun and ammunition.

In a recent open letter to the robotics industry, six US companies, Boston Dynamics, Agility Robotics, ANYbotics, Clearpath Robotics, Open Robotics, and Unitree Robotics, have pledged not to support the weaponization of robots and urged other companies in the industry to follow their lead.

According to the companies, adding weapons to robots “raises new risks of harm and serious ethical issues,” in large part because these robots are “capable of navigating to previously inaccessible locations where people live and work.”

The companies vowed not to include weapons technology in the robots they design or build, nor will they support other companies that do so. They pledged “when possible” to review customer plans so they can avoid plans that could turn a robot into a weapon.

In spite of these companies having ethical concerns, they have to consider that we are dealing with the devil that has threatened nuclear war. And it has been suggested that China has been stealing our technology as their robotic dog looks similar to Boston Dynamics--and the U.S. has robotic dogs.

Federal Judge Overturns Assault Weapons Ban in California

Federal judge overturns California's ban on assault weapons and likens AR-15 to Swiss Army knife

According to the ruling by US District Judge Roger Benitez of San Diego, the assault weapons ban violates the Second Amendment's right to bear arms and deprives Californians from owning assault-style weapons commonly allowed in other states. Benitez issued a permanent injunction Friday so the law cannot be enforced.

BLM Domestic Terrorist Group

A Disturbing Black Lives Matter Video Is Bad News for Democrats This November

The current left-wing rebellion in Portland and other cities has no clearly identifiable goal other than mayhem, violence, and destabilizing civil society. This particular violent act was a BLM terrorist with an Ak-47 who approached a car. The guy in the car fired back and killed the guy with the assault weapon.

Democrat Judge considers Muslim suspects not a threat to society

New Mexico compound judge has history of issuing low bail to violent offenders

All 5 Muslim extremist low lives got bail by a liberal judge, formerly from San Francico (that explains it)--Various weapons and ammo were found during the raid on August 3, and several more firearms were discovered in subsequent searches. The children were allegedly taught how to load and fire assault rifles and taught how to conduct school shootings.

"On August 13, 2018, Judge Backus set a $20,000 bail for each of five suspects accused of child abuse. Earlier in the month, law enforcement officials raided a New Mexico compound amid reports of child abuse and neglect, discovering 11 malnourished children and the remains of one boy whose identity remained unknown as of August 13." On the other hand, Paul Manafort gets solitary confinement and has not been convicted of anything.

Seattle passes silly gun law

Seattle Passes New Gun Control Legislation That May Put Lives At Risk

Saying that they are trying to "save one life at a time," Seattle's city council passed this new law that will limit a gun owners ability to defend himself. If an armed robber breaks into your house, you will have to find your locked gun and then load it. By that time, you will be lucky to be alive.

USA Today wrote--"A federal district court judge in Boston has upheld the state's ban on assault weapons – AR-15 semi-automatic rifles and large-capacity magazines – finding that the issue is not a constitutional matter but one for each state to determine on its own politically."

The State of Florida has refused to ban assault weapons and rejected the ban on the AR-15.  I wouldn't be surprised if Lake Worth tried to lobby the legislature on this issue.

Commissioner Omari Hardy says Lake Worth is handcuffed

This morning, Lake Worth was on the news for its gun ban resolution. Commissioners Hardy and Robinson were featured.

As you recall, they both promoted their morality on the entire City of Lake Worth with Hardy stating his view is what the majority believes. How presumptuous can you get? He says he respects the law but in the same breath says "I hate it," and it "sucks." He wants to close down the gun show at the Scottish Rite, a monthly business in Lake Worth. He even entertained the idea of suing the State of Florida because he is against the State "hollowing out Home Rule," an act he feels is unconstitutional. The city attorney will look into it. Hardy has no problem incurring legal fees here.

I remember when the City of Lake Worth said that the State had precedent on a law it enacted three months after our Heights Amendment passed with 58% at the polls and therefore our vote was moot.  They told us, too bad, so sad. But like a lot of puffed up elected officials, laws are only good when they agree with their political agenda. View the video below.

City of Lake Worth to Ban assault weapons

The liberals feel empowered--As the mayor would say, this is "pontificating." It is meaningless at this point and nothing more than a wish--up the ante, make it more difficult for people to have guns and watch out 2nd Amendment.

Once again, Democrats Omari Hardy and Herman Robinson have been determined to ban assault weapons in our city or what they believe to be assault weapons but they can't tell you what exactly they want banned.  If someone wants an assault weapon, he will get one.

What is their definition of an "assault" weapon? How far will this hopeful ban go?  Will they want to ban conceal carry next?  President Trump is all for extensive background checks, raising the minimum age to 21 and the Fix NICS Act that would ensure that states and federal agencies comply with existing law on reporting criminal history records to the national background check system.

Resolution 17-2018 ban on assault weapons
SUMMARY:

The Resolution advocates for common-sense policies that keep guns out of dangerous hands while respecting the rights of law-abiding gun owners, and strongly believes that Congress and state governments should take action to close deadly gaps in the NICS.

BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION:
February 14, 2018, a mass shooting occurred at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida killing 17 students, teachers and coaches and wounding 14 others, 5 with life-threatening injuries.

Commissioners Robinson and Hardy have requested that the City take a position advocating for changes by lawmakers at the Federal and State levels to significantly improve the processes such as background checks and for designating certain devices and weapons as illegal.

Herman Robinson and his "Weapons of War"

Lake Worth commissioner adamant: No weapons of war for civilians

Herman Robinson said, “We’re not at war with each other. I was in the army. I was 18. It was different walking down the street with an AR-15 across your back. The Sandy Hook (Elementary School shooting in 2012) was a horrific action and Parkland was just as horrific.”

I don't know when Herman was in the army but I believe it was some time ago. AR-15 styled rifles have been around for perhaps five decades. The AR stands for ArmaLite Rifle. It does NOT stand for "assault rifle" nor does it stand for "automatic rifle." The AR-15 was first developed in the late 1950's. In 1959 it was sold to Colt as it had very little success and later used in the VietNam war as the M-16. Colt had so much success with the M-16 that it marketed the rifle as an AR-15 thus the generic term for all types of AR-15-style rifles. [NPR]

I agree. No one needs a weapon of war but the AR-15 is not one as it is a semi-automatic. If we are to have any ban it should be on bump stocks as they are used and are legal in many places that can be added to a semiautomatic weapon to approximate an automatic rifle, a weapon of war.

Quote of the Day - The Day of Reckoning - Arm yourself

“In light of several prominent United States Sheriffs, and even well-known media personalities, now advising America citizens to 'arm themselves' (specifically in preparation for the possibility of armed Islamic attacks on our soil), I think people can now see where we really are in America at this point in history. A day of reckoning has arrived. Part of the battle is being able to recognize propaganda in the media, which reports that it’s the availability of guns that causes gun violence."

~ Carl Gallups
former Florida Police officer and now a minister and radio talk show host

The President of the United States wants to force Americans to give up a right without due process.
"We also need to make it harder for people to buy powerful assault weapons, like the ones that were used in San Bernardino, said Obama.
"Columbine happened with shotguns. The assault weapons ban never really worked. It was essentially a “spooky gun” bill. Gun manufacturers just cosmetically changed their guns," says Erik Erikson.

The Bolt of Lightning for Muslim Terrorists

Comment Up

Here's a twist to deter Muslim terrorists from ever using any American AR-15 assault rifles against us--it's good old American Entrepreneurship‎ and why we can be the best at anything if we so choose.

It is the Tactical Crusader AR-15 assault rifle, which is selling for $1,395 and features Psalm 144:1 etched into its design. We would actually be using the Bible against them.

The verse from Psalm 144:1 reads:
“Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.”

A Florida gun manufacturer has unveiled a new AR-15 assault rifle, complete with the above Bible verse that is laser etched into its design — a weapon that ”would never be able to be used by Muslim terrorists,” according to a company spokesperson.
