Trump closes the door on Iran’s seven-point roadmap - NO DEAL

Hormuz standoff hardens after Trump rejects Iran’s reopening terms

President Trump rejected Iran’s bid to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and hours later Iranian media reported explosions near Qeshm Island as Tehran pressed hardline conditions.

Explosions were heard in the Strait of Hormuz hours after President Donald Trump turned down a diplomatic offer from Tehran, Al Jazeera reported. Iranian media pointed to blasts near southern Iran’s Qeshm Island and suggested antiship missiles and drones had been fired at vessels moving through the waterway against Tehran’s wishes.

Iranian authorities did not confirm any attacks that day. The episode still left a vital oil route under fresh pressure, with no deal in sight and both sides digging in.

The standoff is not a paper dispute. Since the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran began on February 28, shipping through the Gulf has been severely disrupted. Tehran wants the strait run on its terms. Washington is enforcing a naval blockade on Iranian ports and moving crude by other routes.

Iran floated a plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within a week if seven conditions were met. Those conditions included lifting the U.S. blockade on Iran, releasing frozen Iranian funds, and ending attacks on all fronts, including Israel’s assault on Lebanon. Tehran also wanted a return, for the most part, to a June memorandum of understanding between the United States and Israel.

Iran has an estimated $100 billion to $120 billion in frozen assets scattered globally. These funds primarily consist of unreleased foreign currency reserves and accumulated oil revenues that became locked in foreign banks due to decades of international sanctions. Independent tracking dashboards evaluate the core immobilized or blocked portion of these assets to sit between $58 billion and $88 billion.

Because these assets are tied up across various jurisdictions, they are a central talking point in ongoing geopolitical negotiations. China: Holds the largest share, estimated between $20 billion and $50 billion from long-standing oil purchases. We hold roughly $2 billion in directly frozen bank deposits, plus an additional $50 million in real estate and property tied up since the 1979 revolution.

Tariff Reduction Plan agreed to between China and United States

US, China Announce Reciprocal Tariff Reduction Plan for $30 Billion in Goods

The proposal covers goods from each country, while Washington and Beijing also announced agreements on Iran and technology talks.

The United States and China announced a tariff reduction plan of $30 billion in goods from each country following the Chinese leader’s state visit to Washington, covering non-sensitive goods.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry confirmed the agreement in a statement on Saturday, following the release of a fact sheet from the White House the day before.

The announcements came after talks between President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping produced common positions on Iran’s nuclear program and international waterway tolls, along with plans for a dialogue on risks and benefits related to artificial intelligence.

Xi departed on Sept. 25 after a visit that included a military welcome, bilateral talks, and a state dinner. Before leaving, Xi and his wife, Peng Liyuan, joined Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for tea and a visit to the National Archives. “A lot of very positive things happened,” Trump told reporters during the tea meeting.

The two leaders “discussed fostering peace and prosperity to enhance confidence for businesses and consumers around the world,” the White House said, adding that the United States and China would pursue “a constructive relationship of strategic stability.”

Both leaders agreed that Iran must not have nuclear weapons and that no country or institution should impose tolls on international waterways, according to the readouts from both countries.

Washington Is Reviewing the Europe Footprint

Hegseth Review Could Withdraw Up to 40,000 U.S. Troops From Europe

The United States is weighing a major force-structure shakeup that could pull thousands of troops out of Western Europe, according to a new report from NBC News. One scenario could remove up to one-third of the troops stationed there, or about 25,000 service members. Other estimates put the possible number at 40,000, which would be roughly half of the U.S. forces based in Europe.

These figures describe possible scenarios, not a final troop movement order. Still, the review signals that Washington is taking a hard look at where American forces are stationed and how much of Europe’s defense the United States should continue to carry.

European Governments Are Alarmed--The possibility of such dramatic cuts has alarmed lawmakers from both parties and European governments worried that Russia could be emboldened. Germany, Italy, and Spain are likely to be impacted, NBC News reported, citing officials it did not name.

Those countries have some of the largest concentrations of American troops in Europe. They were also at odds with President Donald Trump over the war in Iran. The message from Washington is becoming difficult to miss: NATO allies cannot expect America to handle the heavy lifting forever.

Trump Points to Poland--Even as the review raises questions about the U.S. presence in Western Europe, Trump said America will not abandon its allies. He pointed to Poland as a possible location for a new U.S. Army base. “Thanks to the bold leadership of my friend, Karol Nawrocki, President of Poland, major progress is being made toward establishing a U.S. Army base in Poland,” Trump wrote.

He added that if the plan moves forward, the location would be announced very soon, calling it a historic step for the U.S.-Polish alliance. The post placed Poland at the center of Trump’s message about maintaining strong partnerships while reviewing America’s broader military posture.

Secret Chinese Satellite Iran used to Target U.S. bases

China Sold Iran the Satellite That Aimed the Missiles That Killed Three American Soldiers

The satellite in question is a TEE-01B, a Chinese-made spy satellite Iran acquired in September 2024 for $36 million.

It provides high-resolution surveillance imagery — the kind you'd want if you were trying to map the layout of an American air base in a foreign country, identify where aircraft are parked, and time your volley for maximum damage.

Iran didn't develop this capability on its own. Beijing sold it to them.

Nuclear Deal with Saudi Arabia

US Signs Nuclear Cooperation Deal With Saudi Arabia

The agreement is expected to benefit U.S. companies and reduce Russian and Chinese influence in Saudi Arabia’s civilian nuclear sector.

WASHINGTON—The United States and Saudi Arabia signed an agreement on July 22 that will allow the Gulf kingdom to develop a civilian nuclear program on its soil, the U.S. Department of Energy said in a statement.

The agreement may also allow for uranium enrichment in Saudi Arabia.

The 123 Agreement, named after Section 123 of the U.S. Atomic Energy Act, was signed by U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman. Both sides also signed a bilateral safeguards agreement.

“Together, these two agreements lay the legal foundation for a decades-long, multi-billion-dollar partnership that advances several priority economic and strategic objectives, including nuclear nonproliferation,” the statement reads.

The 30-year agreement will give American companies a key role in developing Saudi Arabia’s nuclear infrastructure.

Our Nation's History is a Legacy to be defended

DeSantis says founders rejected the left’s ideas at Mount Rushmore

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis spent July 4 at Mount Rushmore, where he joined the holiday atmosphere around Trump’s speech and the fireworks show. During a conversation with Sean Hannity on FOX News, DeSantis focused on the country’s founding and said the American system has lasted far beyond what history usually expects.

He said the Founding Fathers understood how fragile republics can be. In his view, they built something designed to stand the test of time. He argued that the core American idea still matters now, especially when modern politics keeps pushing bigger government and softer limits on power.

DeSantis put it plainly:
  • “250 years — if you think about it, republics are not supposed to last that long.”
  • “When the founding fathers set forth these important principles, they knew that all these republics in history had failed and they were trying to confound history.”
  • “And what they laid down were enduring truths.”
  • “Our rights either come from God or the government.”
  • “If they come from God that’s it, there is no more debate about it.”
  • “Government’s either got to be limited or not. If it is, then we always have to have limited government.”
He then turned to the modern left and singled out Zohran Mamdani as part of what he sees as a larger trend.
“And when I see the Mamdani’s of the world, they’re basically offering these ideas, they claim they are progressive, they’re really regressive.”

New Air Force One gift from Qatar

New Air Force One arrives to serve White House resident

'This is considered the world's most luxurious plane'

A Boeing 747-8 has arrived to serve as Air Force One for the resident of the White House.

The $400 million luxury jet is a gift from the Qatari government last year, and underwent renovations to provide the services a president might need.

President Donald Trump was on hand at Joint Base Andrews, the military base that has served as a president's airport, and said, "There will never be one like this. This is very unique. This is considered the world's most luxurious plane. When it was built, it was built at a level that will probably never be seen again."

The Air Force confirmed the jet aircraft, larger than previous units that served as Air Force One, soon will be embarking on "commissioning flights," its "final exam" before it can be used to transport the president.

"Fresh from receiving its new red, white, and blue livery and the final government modifications, the aircraft has entered service to provide critical, secure continuity for the commander in chief," the Air Force said

Extension of Ceasefire to 60 Days

US and Iranian negotiators reach tentative deal to extend ceasefire and launch nuclear talks

WASHINGTON — U.S. and Iranian negotiators reached a tentative agreement Thursday to extend the ceasefire in the 3-month-old war by 60 days and launch talks on Iran’s nuclear program, according to a U.S. official familiar with the matter.

Iran did not immediately confirm any deal, and the official noted that President Donald Trump has yet to sign off on it.

The emerging memorandum of understanding came as the fragile ceasefire in the war between the U.S. and Iran appeared to be wavering. The latest flare-up in fighting happened less than a day earlier, when Kuwait intercepted missiles fired from Iran, according to U.S. Central Command.

The official who described the tentative agreement was not authorized to comment publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity. Another U.S. official, who also spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the private diplomacy, said the broad outlines of an agreement have been reached but stressed that until Trump signs off on it, there is no deal. The official said there still are questions about whether Trump will accept the proposal.

Trump is looking for an agreement that will reopen the strait, through which about a fifth of all traded oil and natural gas once passed. He also is seeking to get Iran to give up its stockpile of highly enriched uranium. The war is driving up fuel prices around the world, somthing Democrats constanly talk about.

Trump says the U.S. will Recover Iran's Uranium

Trump Vows US Will Retrieve Uranium From Iran

President Donald Trump vowed on Thursday that the United States will eventually recover Iran's stockpile of highly enriched uranium despite comments from ‌Iran that it will not hand over the material.

"We will get it. We don't need it, we don't want it. We'll probably destroy it after we get it, but we're not going to let them have it," Trump ‌told reporters at the White House. Iran is ‌believed to possess about 900 pounds ‌of highly enriched uranium, which Trump says was buried by U.S. and Israeli airstrikes nearly a ‌year ago.

Retrieving the uranium is part of Trump's central objective of his war on Iran that Tehran ‌will not be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon.

Iran's Supreme Leader has issued ‌a directive that ‌the country's near-weapons-grade uranium should not be sent abroad, two senior Iranian sources told Reuters.

Billions $ our country loses to Fraud

$521 Billion Fraud Landscape

A federal watchdog estimated that the government lost between $233 billion and $521 billion annually to criminals committing fraud.

The federal government lost up to half a trillion dollars to fraud each year over a five-year period, according to an April 15 report from the Government Accountability Office.

That’s enough to employ a million people for seven years or purchase a million homes.

Federally funded, state-run programs are major targets, according to April 15 testimony from Robert Westbrooks, former federal inspector general. Westbrooks said problems can occur when states control the disbursement of federal funds because that can reduce accountability and incentives.

Based on data from fiscal years 2018 through 2022, the federal watchdog estimated that the federal government lost between $233 billion and $521 billion annually to fraud.

Lebanon and Israel meeting today

Another uncertain diplomatic meeting happening on U.S. soil

With the Middle East on edge, and the world watching after failed U.S.-Iran talks, a lesser-known diplomatic meeting is set for today between Israel and Lebanon.

Diplomats from both sides are scheduled to meet on U.S. soil, at the State Department, to discuss an end to Israel’s attacks on Hezbollah that parallel the combined U.S.-Israel attacks on Iran.

At issue is a ceasefire, which will be demanded by Lebanon’s ambassador at the same time the IDF is striking Hezbollah targets in and around Beirut. That ongoing military operation is a counterattack after the terrorist group, which is funded and supported by Iran, launched cross-border attacks when the U.S. and Israel launched Operation Epic Fury.

The face-to-face diplomatic talks, which are being called unusual and historic, are also complicated since Lebanon’s well-armed radical Muslims perceive diplomacy with Israel as weakness if not traitorous.

Iran blaming Israel for breaking ceasefire deal

Ceasefire Agreement with Iran

Iran claims Israel broke the agreement with its continued violence in Lebanon during the ceasefire period and Iran is accusing Israel of violating the conditional ceasefire announced by President Trump by continuing its war with Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Iranian media outlets say Tehran is suspending tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz and considering pulling out of the deal with Washington over Israel's actions.

Iran reportedly prevented ships from passing through the Strait of Hormuz Wednesday morning, even though opening the strait was a key aspect of the ceasefire agreement reached Tuesday night.

Iran is accusing Israel of violating the conditional ceasefire announced by President Trump by continuing its war with Hezbollah in Lebanon. Iranian media outlets say Tehran is suspending tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz and considering pulling out of the deal with Washington over Israel's actions.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said President Trump is aware of reports saying the strait has been closed, but said the reports "are false." There were new attacks on America's Persian Gulf allies early Wednesday after the ceasefire announcement, and then reports of explosions on two Iranian islands in the Gulf said Iran.

All sides have presented vastly different versions of the terms. In one instance, Iran said the deal would allow it to formalize its new practice of charging ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, which the White House said U.S. President Donald Trump opposes.

Pakistan said talks to seek a permanent end to the war could begin in Islamabad as soon as Friday. The White House confirmed that U.S. Vice President JD Vance will lead the U.S. negotiating team.

Daily Mail got it wrong on the Rescue in Iran

'You sick freaks': Trump White House pummels Daily Mail for astonishing anti-U.S. deception

Publication dismisses accuracy in 'audacious' rescue of missing American airman in Iran

The White House on Sunday pummeled the Daily Mail as "sick freaks" after the British newspaper asserted President Donald Trump's rescue of a missing American colonel in Iran "almost failed and cost dozens of American lives."

"You sick freaks," said Rapid Response 47 on X in the wake of the Daily Mail's post. "No lives were lost because America's warfighters are the most powerful, lethal, and precise fighting force ever known to man. God bless our heroes."

While the Daily Mail originally claimed "dozens of American lives" were lost, the paper has since deleted its post and changed its article to which it was linking from X to read quite differently.

The report by Tom Lawrence now states: "President Trump's audacious extraction of a US airman came agonisingly close to being a disaster but is being hailed as the most audacious special forces raid in American history.

"The remaining weapons systems officer hiked through the mountains while evading Iranian search parties and using his rescue beacon sparingly – before he was eventually located by the CIA. We have rescued the seriously wounded, and really brave, F-15 Crew Member/Officer, from deep inside the mountains of Iran," Trump said Sunday morning on Truth Social."

"The Iranian Military was looking hard, in big numbers, and getting close. He is a highly respected Colonel. This type of raid is seldom attempted because of the danger to 'man and equipment.' It just doesn't happen!"

He continued: "At my direction, the U.S. Military sent dozens of aircraft, armed with the most lethal weapons in the World, to retrieve him. He sustained injuries, but he will be just fine.

Poland believes NATO is a service it receives, not a covenant it upholds

Poland’s Break With NATO Raises A Difficult Question: What Comes Next?

"There is a moment in the life of any institution when its defining contradiction becomes impossible to ignore.

The contradiction does not appear all at once. It accumulates slowly, like water behind a dam, and then one day a small, concrete event makes visible what had been hiding in plain sight for years. For NATO, that moment arrived when Poland said "no."

The sequence of events deserves to be told plainly, because its logic is devastating.

Iran, through no fault of Turkey’s, targeted a NATO member state with multiple ballistic missile attacks. Turkey, a dues-paying, treaty-bound member of the North Atlantic Alliance, turned to a fellow member for help. It asked Poland to provide a single Patriot air defense battery on a temporary basis, for the straightforward purpose of protecting Turkish civilians and territory from a foreign nation’s missiles. Poland refused.

The United States intervened diplomatically. Washington took up Turkey’s case directly and asked Poland to reconsider. Poland refused again. Consider what that second refusal means.

The United States stations 10,000 of its own troops in Poland, positioned roughly 50 miles from Russian territory. Those soldiers are accompanied by 170 Abrams tanks, hundreds of Bradley fighting vehicles, F-16s, F-15s, and periodic deployments of F-35s. American forces in Poland are not a symbolic gesture. They are a tripwire, and everyone in Warsaw knows it.

If Russia attacked Poland, it would not merely be attacking a NATO member. It would be attacking American soldiers, which means it would be at war with the United States of America.

That guarantee, backed by American blood and treasure, is the single most powerful deterrent Poland possesses. It dwarfs anything in the Polish inventory, including the Patriot batteries Poland chose to keep for itself rather than temporarily share with an ally under fire."
