Smithsonian Institution going Woke

White House tears into ‘extreme political activism’ at National Museum of American History

The White House lashed out against the Smithsonian Institution’s leadership Monday, accusing the network that runs 21 museums of “extreme political activism” and failing to celebrate America.

A new White House report accuses leaders of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History of embracing "extreme political activism" and using the nation's flagship history museum to advance what the report describes as an ideological agenda.

The 162-page report, released on July 4 by the White House Domestic Policy Council, is part of the Trump administration’s ongoing review of the Smithsonian. It is the latest move in the Trump administration’s broader push to scrutinize Smithsonian exhibits and programming that federal officials view as overly ideological or "woke."

The report argues that museum leaders have moved the institution away from historical scholarship and toward social justice advocacy, saying the museum now presents American history largely through themes of racism, oppression and inequality.

“This ideological capture has moved the Museum’s mission away from straightforward historical education and scholarship toward an extreme political activism that seeks to transform our country,” the report states.

The U.S. government heavily funds the Smithsonian Institution, providing about two-thirds of its annual budget. Federal appropriations—approved by Congress—account for more than $1 billion each year, while the remaining third comes from private donations, endowments, and retail revenue.

Justice Gorsuch addresses those who want to reshape the Supreme Court

Justice Gorsuch pushes back on court-packing critics: the Supreme Court is 'working'

Justice Neil Gorsuch has a message for Democrats and reform advocates who want to reshape the Supreme Court: the institution works just fine, and tampering with it carries real danger.

The Trump-appointed justice defended the Court's role and independence during a recent public appearance, pushing back directly against calls for structural overhaul that have intensified since the Court's conservative majority began issuing landmark rulings on abortion, presidential immunity, and the administrative state.

The Hill reported on Gorsuch's remarks, which came as political pressure on the Court shows no sign of easing.

The comments land at a moment when the Court's legitimacy has become a partisan flashpoint. Progressive lawmakers and advocacy groups have spent years calling for everything from term limits to expanding the bench.

Former President Biden went further, proposing a three-part reform package that would strip former presidents of criminal immunity, impose term limits on justices, and create a binding ethics code for the Court.

Gorsuch's warning to Biden--

In earlier remarks covered by the Washington Examiner, Gorsuch directly cautioned Biden against pursuing those reforms. He declined to fully engage the specifics, noting that the proposals are political matters tied to a presidential election year. But he still delivered a pointed warning.
"And so I just say, be careful."

Vance Points to Engineered Chaos in Minneapolis

Vice President Vance condemns Minneapolis unrest as organized disruption

Vice President JD Vance called the turmoil in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a deliberate act of disruption following violent clashes involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers on Saturday.

The incident occurred when federal agents conducting a targeted operation against an unauthorized migrant wanted for violent assault shot an armed man near a local donut shop, with crowds quickly gathering and blocking roads while surrounding vehicles.

Official reports confirm the suspect carried a 9mm handgun and two additional full magazines and resisted agents before shots were fired.

The fallout has sparked sharp debate over who bears responsibility for the escalating disorder. Critics point to a troubling alliance between far-left activists and local officials, suggesting their actions have fueled the volatile atmosphere.

This isn’t just random frustration; it’s a pattern that raises questions about governance in Democrat-run areas.

The ANTI-ICE Protesters at Minneapolis church

Turley: Ellison Wrong on Church Protest Charges

Something happened at a Minnesota church that many see as more than a protest. Activists entered and disrupted services. The state attorney general, Keith Ellison, called it “a First Amendment activity” and suggested federal charges weren’t warranted.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley disagrees. He says the actions cross the line from speech into criminal conduct. He argues there are multiple violations on the table.

Turley wrote: “One would think that a mob action against a church would be something that would transcend political divisions as a grotesque and chilling act. If you thought that, you do not know Keith Ellison.”

He pressed the point that protesting outside a church is protected speech. But disrupting services and mistreating worshippers inside is conduct. That can be treated as trespass, disorderly conduct, or other offenses under state law. Turley says federal statutes could also apply.

Ellison pushed back on criticism by framing the event as a First Amendment issue. Turley rejects that framing. “He is wrong,” Turley wrote.

DC Heckler harasses Law Enforcement

Ice Agent Put Heckler In Her Place

In a moment of pure, unapologetic justice, a heroic DC police officer delivered the ultimate shutdown to an obese leftist woman who thought she could harass law enforcement without consequence.

As officers from various agencies, including Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), exited a Metro station in Washington, DC’s Navy Yard, they were met with a barrage of profanity and mindless heckling from unhinged liberal activists. But one cop wasn’t having it—and his response was nothing short of legendary.

Amid the chaos, one particularly large woman screeched, “Hi friends, I’m still here!” before smugly taunting the officers, “You can still choose to do something else! You want to be a veterinarian? You want to be a doctor?”

But the officer, embodying the no-nonsense attitude that Trump supporters love, fired back with a devastating blow: “You can choose to eat a salad!” The crowd erupted, and the clip instantly went viral, proving once again that leftists can’t handle the truth—especially when it’s served up with a side of brutal honesty.

The liberal media will never report on these stories fairly. They’ll cry about “police brutality” while ignoring the vile behavior of their own. But patriots see right through their lies. These officers are heroes, standing strong against the mob, and Trump’s policies are ensuring they have the backup they need.

On America's Birthday, Democrats inject Politics into the celebration

Leonard Bryant Photography

How Susan B. Anthony crashed the Great American Raft Race in Lake Worth Beach

HOURS BEFORE FIREWORKS lit up the sky, two Lake Worth Beach activists sparked a Fourth of July kerfuffle on water.

With thousands watching the start of the annual Great American Raft Race, a banner unfurled from the end of a Bryant Park pier above the Lake Worth Lagoon: “NO SELF RESPECTING WOMAN SHOULD WISH OR WORK FOR THE SUCCESS OF A PARTY THAT IGNORS HER SUCCESS – Susan B. Anthony 1872 and 1894.”

It was a sign of the times, past and present, a message especially worth sharing on Independence Day, said the bed-sheet banner’s creators, activist Carole Fields and artist AnnaMarie Windisch-Hunt, a Democrat.

“We had our backs to the people, cheering the races on. We weren't yelling things out. We just had the banner dropped,’’ Fields said. She refused to remove the banner when the police arrived and asked her to take it down.

Some people were not amused.

Jeff Clemens even piped in about First Amendment Rights after Craig Frost, head of the Association Presidents Council said it was very sad that they were there to make a political statement as it was not the time nor the place.

Read the rest of Joe Capozzi's article

In actuality, the Republican Party is the only party advocating for women's rights...as an example, banning men participating in women's sports. I am only guessing that the banner creators were talking about the right of abortion or killing babies in the womb.

And the irony of all of this is that Susan B. Anthony was a Republican and came to prominence for women's suffrage--their right to vote. The Republican Party pioneered the right of women to vote and was consistent in its support throughout the long campaign for acceptance. "It was the first major party to advocate equal rights for women and the principle of equal pay for equal work."

Protest at "Alligator Alacatraz" site

Indians and Activists don't want "Alligator Alacatraz

Gov. DeSantis says "Alligator Alcatraz" will have 'zero impact' on Everglades

The state is plowing ahead with building a compound of heavy-duty tents, trailers and other temporary buildings at the Miami Dade County-owned airfield in the Big Cypress National Preserve, about 45 miles west of downtown Miami.

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered along Florida’s Tamiami Trail on Saturday to protest the construction of a new immigrant detention center in the Everglades, dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz” by critics.

The facility, proposed by Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, is part of President Donald Trump’s bold initiative to expand deportations of criminal illegal aliens and secure the nation’s borders.

While liberal activists and Native American leaders decry the project as an environmental and humanitarian crisis, supporters argue it is a necessary step to enforce immigration laws and protect American communities.

The protest, organized by Native American groups and environmental activists, claimed the detention center would encroach on sacred tribal lands and harm the fragile Everglades ecosystem. Ecologist Christopher McVoy, one of the demonstrators, told the Associated Press, “People I know are in tears, and I wasn’t far from it.”

Meanwhile, left-wing organizations like the Center for Biological Diversity and Friends of the Everglades filed a lawsuit to halt construction, citing potential environmental damage. Their executive director warned, “The Everglades is a vast, interconnected system of waterways and wetlands, and what happens in one area can have damaging impacts downstream.”

The liberal media has framed the protests as a moral outcry, ignoring the fact that the facility is designed to house criminal aliens.

Josh Hawley goes on the Offensive - No Rogue Rulings Act

Activist judges are illegally blocking Donald Trump’s agenda

And Josh Hawley wants to hand Donald Trump one weapon to smack down activist judges.

Senator Josh Hawley is pushing a bill to curb the abuse of nationwide injunctions by activist District Court Judges, aiming to prevent them from blocking President Trump’s agenda across the entire country.

The No Rogue Rulings Act, introduced by Representative Darrell Issa, seeks to limit the reach of lower court rulings and restore balance between the branches of government.

Legal scholars and experts argue that Congress has the power to rein in District Courts and restrict nationwide injunctions, providing a more effective solution than pursuing impeachment.

“It’s never been more obvious that parts of our federal judiciary have a major malfunction of judicial activism,” Issa said. “Practically every week, we see yet another federal judge issuing yet another nationwide injunction in yet another gambit to stop President Trump from exercising his Constitutional Article II powers and carrying out the policy agenda he promised the American people he would make a reality.”

The bill passed out of the House Judiciary Committee on a 14-9 vote.

Executive Order on deporting Anti-Jewish Activists

Trump orders review to identify, punish and deport antisemites — including students on visas

WASHINGTON — President Trump signed an executive order Wednesday instructing federal agencies to identify “all civil and criminal authorities” available to combat antisemitism — including finding ways to deport anti-Jewish activists who violated laws.

The order, first reported by The Post, requires agency and department leaders to provide the White House with recommendations within 60 days and outlines plans for the Justice Department to investigate pro-Hamas graffiti and intimidation, including on college campuses.

“Jewish students have faced an unrelenting barrage of discrimination; denial of access to campus common areas and facilities, including libraries and classrooms; and intimidation, harassment, and physical threats and assault,” the order says.

“It shall be the policy of the United States to combat anti-Semitism vigorously, using all available and appropriate legal tools, to prosecute, remove, or otherwise hold to account the perpetrators of unlawful anti-Semitic harassment and violence.”

Pro-Life Activists Pardoned

Trump Pardons 23 Pro-Life Activists Ahead of March for Life

The protesters were convicted for blocking the entrances of abortion clinics

President Donald Trump has pardoned 23 pro-life demonstrators who were convicted under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, commonly referred to as the FACE Act.

“Twenty-three people were prosecuted. They should not have been prosecuted,” Trump told reporters while signing the series of pardons on Jan. 23.

“Many of them are elderly people. They should not have been prosecuted. This is a great honor to sign this.”

Trump said it was “ridiculous” that some of the 23 protesters were in prison.

“There is no question these prosecutions were political,” Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser said in a statement. “Even ex-FBI director Chris Wray admits the overwhelming majority of abortion-related threats and violence since Dobbs is directed at pro-life Americans—not done by them. We look forward to the end of Biden’s anti-life discrimination under Attorney General Pam Bondi.”

Climate Embeciles desecrate Historic Stonehenge

The construction of Stonehenge started around 3000 BC

"On a day typically reserved for the celebration of the summer solstice, a group of climate protesters transformed Stonehenge into a site of civil disobedience. The iconic monument, revered for its historical and cultural significance, became the backdrop for a high-profile protest that resulted in several arrests.

This act, characterized by the spraying of orange paint across the ancient stones, has sparked a mix of outrage and support from the public." Only nutty people would support the desecration of this historical monument.

Stonehenge, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is considered one of the most important prehistoric monuments in Europe, and any damage to it is taken very seriously.

"Go Home to Mommy," Trump told them

Trump Confronts Climate Protesters

Climate activists disrupted a rally held by Former President Donald Trump in Indianola, Iowa, on Sunday, January 14, 2024, labeling him a “climate criminal."

During Trump’s closing address, the activists interrupted twice, alleging that he took millions in contributions from the oil and gas sector, thus influencing his stance on climate change.

Despite the disruptions, Trump brushed off the protesters, suggesting they “go home to mommy.”

Three Democrats Incite anti-gun activists in Tennessee Legislature Chamber

Democrats Storm State Capitol to Protest Gun–They Are Now Regretting It

Unsure of the headline in this article as Democrats usually don't regret anything

"In the aftermath of the horrific school shooting in Nashville, TN, Democrats are back on their gun control bandwagon. They are ignoring the fact that this shooter was a transgender targeting Christians. Instead, they are trying to use the death of children to push their radical, unconstitutional agenda.

How far will Democrats go to ignore the facts and push their insane plans?

Three Democrat Tennessee state lawmakers joined anti-gun activists in storming the state Capitol soon after the school shooting. It appears they were encouraging gun control protesters to violate the law and invade the government building. Huh, I guess Democrats don’t mind storming a Capitol, as long as it’s for one of their causes.

I guess getting hammered for storming a Capitol can work both ways?"

Portland--The Hotbed of Insanity

New Anarchist Summer Camp Promises To Turn Kids Into Horde Of Activists

A new summer camp for children in grades four through eight, based out of Portland, has been the center of quite a bit of attention for claiming to create a horde of young anarchists with a desire to overthrow society.

The camp in question, Budding Roses, says that it will “provide a free, safe and empowering space for East Portland youth to learn, express themselves, and engage critically with the social justice issues that impact them.” They are able to do this through a string of social justice-focused activities sprinkled over a summer camp setting. It is still entirely unclear just how many kids have been sent to the camp or just how many have actually completed the workshops created for it in the past.

The website stated that mainstream education “often reproduces structural oppression and dis-empowers youth, particularly low income and youth of color.” The creators are quite interested in “activating young leaders to see themselves as agents of change.”

White Antifa hijacked Black Lives Matter?

Black Lives Matter Breaks Up With ‘White’ Antifa, Want ‘Separation’

Oregon Public Broadcasting reports Wednesday that black members of Portland’s Black Lives Matter movement are tired of their anti-racism demonstrations being hijacked by the mostly white “Antifa” anarchists and are working to separate the two movements as protests continue.

“Tensions between Black activists fighting for racial justice and anti-establishment protesters have bubbled beneath the surface for months,” the outlet says, noting that many of the anti-racism protests, now in their sixth month, began as peaceful demonstrations but became violent after nightfall, when anarchist groups, who organized on social media, appeared.

The group protested the Treasury for what it viewed as stymying other government agencies’ efforts to combat climate change, displaying a sign reading “Stop Funding Climate Death.”
