Ugly Face of Socialism

Former Congressman Allen B. West talks about the ugly face of socialism in the nation of Venezuela. You might want to ask yourself if there is any other face that it has. West has personal knowledge of the great people of that nation, having learned tactics from one of their best officers. Here is a great synopsis of what has happened there, what happens in every socialist nation, and the hypocrisy of out liberal elites. This is well worth the reading. Thanks.

Hate - Liberal colleges thrive on it

Try displaying this disturbing painting with Barack Obama as the subject instead of President Trump at any college, and the uproar from students, faculty and administrators would be immediate and furious.

9 Sanctuary Cities on Notice

"The Trump administration put nine of the country’s top sanctuary cities on notice Friday that they could soon have to give up some federal funds unless they can prove they are no longer thwarting Homeland Security’s efforts to deport illegal immigrants. The entire state of California is being targeted, as are the cities of New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Cook County in Illinois and Miami-Dade County in Florida round out the list., reports The Washington Times."

Unsure why Miami-Dade is still on the list as I thought that the Miami-Dade Mayor dropped sanctuary policy in January.

Crime Report for Lake Worth

What was supposed to be a 10 minute PBSO report dragged on for at about forty minutes. Every commissioner had questions of the captain. Some of the highlights of Cpt. Baer's report from Tuesday night's commission meeting:
  • Overall crime down in 2016 by 2.6%. No surprise on this as I had previously stated this would be the case. Not sure if jaywalking is a part of this stat.
  • 10 murders in year 2016--1 murder so far in 2017
  • No mention of the number of shootings which are weekly.
  • Aggravated assault up from 239 to 279
  • Drug overdoes way up and the most in March 2017 since July of last year
  • Property crime down by 5%
  • Vehicle theft down
  • Lots of prostitutes rounded up and two massage parlors raided--one on North Dixie and one near Propaganda nightclub on S. J Street

Maddow Madness

The brilliant blabbers at MSNBC have finally figured out Venezuela is in full meltdown.

It was predictable, of course, back when the late Hugo Chavez first put his nation on the road to the same socialist paradise that had already destroyed countless nations.

MSNBC was all in at the beginning, but now the network needs someone to blame -- preferably a Republican.

And that's where Rachel Maddow -- no stranger to meltdowns, herself -- comes in.

Bill O'Reilly was subject of political hit job

And the Murdoch family decided to believe it all--

[Allen West] After he was wickedly canned by FOX news, Host Bill O’Reilly responded in the same calm manner that we have grown used to over the years. Speculation is now ripe as to what he will walk away from FOX in the way of remuneration. It is guessed to be in the Tens of Millions of dollars. I think I could keep my own sense of humor over that. Please pay me not to work anymore.

Whether Bill has committed any heinous acts or not, the way this has been handled makes it nothing more than trial by public opinion. The attacks on Mr. O’Reilly’s advertisers by George Soros funded groups tells you that this was a political hit job.

Read more here... at the Daily Wire.

Wouldn't all you O'Reilly fans love to see him on his own network and then grab Hannity, Watters and Bolling?  All his profits from his books have been given to charity and he was always fair and balanced. He was king at Fox until the Murdoch sons, Lachlan and James, took over. It has been rumored that their liberal, progressive wives had a lot to do with O'Reilly's abrupt ousting.

Olympic Pool Lake Worth beach

"Sun and other environmental elements can cause drying, flaking and cracks when a pool is left drained.

It is however, most important not to underestimate the potential for wall damage and cracks due to pressure applied on the walls related to ground water. This factor is extremely important even in existing pools. Any reputable pool construction firm or pool maintenance company will not guarantee you a crack-free pool if your groundwater source isn't completely controlled prior to undertaking any pool draining efforts."

So, the question is, how will the city keep our Olympic pool from cracking? Do we have a problem with ground water?  Was an engineer brought in to determine this? Or is this just the first step to taking out our pool? I think we all can figure out what the city wants to do.

Cultural Council Photo Exhibit

The Exhibit sponsored by the Historical Society of Lake Worth will be held April 21 through May 22 In conjunction with Historic Preservation Month.

This photographic exhibit is small portion of one of the society’s projects which records in vivid detail the history of Lake Worth from the beginning. It is an ongoing research project with many thanks to the Lake Worth Historical Museum.

The exhibit includes a photo of the surveyors who laid 7,000 farm plots and 7,000 in-town lots to be included in an auction for these parcels, a flyer extolling the virtues of this promising land, and the census of those people who were awarded lots on that day. This census then became the basis for the “oldest house” determination, results to be announced at the Preservation Awards Ceremony on May 17th.

Also included are scenes of the typical lifestyle of a pioneer, and the very creative activities that they did for fun.
Please join us!!!
We hope you will enjoy this trip through time.

The Historical Society of Lake Worth, Inc. was founded in 2016 as a not-for-profit, 501(c)3, private educational organization dedicated to perpetuating Lake Worth’s history. The Society is organized as a public benefit corporation exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.

Michael Reagan speaks out on the ships heading to North Korea

On the obese, murderous, insane scumbag--

Michael Reagan:

"The United States has added two aircraft carriers to the growing number of ships headed to the Korean Peninsula, The Daily Mail reports.

South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency first reported that the USS Ronald Reagan, currently in Yokosuka, Japan, and the USS Nimitz, now under assessment in Oregon, will leave for the Sea of Japan next week. China and Russia have reportedly launched “spy vessels” to follow the ships, according to The Yomiuri Shimbun in The Japan News, citing unnamed sources in the Japanese government.

The U.S. group will conduct joint exercises with Japan’s Maritime Self-Defense Force following reports of missile tests in North Korea following the 105th anniversary of the birth of the country’s founder, Kim Il Sung.

The Independent reported last week that China sent 150,000 troops to the North Korean border following a phone call between Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Trump addressed the tensions between the U.S. and North Korea while on Fox News Tuesday.

“I don’t want to telegraph what I’m doing or what I’m thinking … we’ll see what happens,” he said. “I hope things work out well. I hope there’s going to be peace. But you know, they’ve been talking with this gentleman for a long time … everybody’s been outplayed. They’ve all been outplayed by this gentleman and we’ll see what happens.”

Media all quiet on the Trump-Russian "connection"

If you are wondering why our national media has pretty much dropped the whole Trump-Is-A-Russian-Manchurian-Candidate thing, it is because the naked truth about the Obama administration’s chilling spying — something the media has covered up for months — is finally coming to light. Goddess of Democracy given "the finger" by anarchist/protesters

Back on June 12, 2007,  President George W. Bush dedicated The Victims of Communism Memorial. The dedication ceremony featured the unveiling of the “Goddess of Democracy,” a bronze replica of the statue erected by Chinese students in Tiananmen Square, Beijing, China in the spring of 1989. The Memorial is located at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and New Jersey Avenue, NW on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

Marion Smith of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation said: A group of radicals on their way to a protest, organized in part by the Party for Socialism and Liberation which believes "the only solution to the deepening crisis of capitalism is the socialist transformation of society," recently descended on the Victims of Communism Memorial in Washington, DC.

For some reason they thought it would be a good idea to give the middle finger to our Memorial—literally—and then had the audacity to brag about it all over social media.

Has Freedom of speech gone too far? We have the world's freest country that allows anarchists, protesters and communists broad political liberties so that they can be disrespectful to our monuments and to our way of life.

Clemens' bill on cannabis possession halted

Jeff Clemens wanted to decriminalize possession of one ounce or less of cannabis — described as a “personal use quantity — It would be a civil violation, rather than a misdemeanor.

The Senate Criminal Justice Committee postponed the bill. Under the proposal, a person over the age of 18 who knowingly possesses an ounce of marijuana or less would be assessed a civil violation of no more than $100--a slap on the wrist.

Put on your Big Boy Panties Commissioner

The public lynching of Ryan Maier

Two years later, commissioner Amoroso can't forget the above parody--He mentioned it last night at the city commission meeting when they were discussing having a city Facebook page. There was some fear about the comments that might appear on Facebook. Juan Ruiz said that they could disable comments but that's why people go to Facebook.

The blog that started Andy Amoroso's unhappiness.

Now, Amoroso does a lot of good work for the city but going after Ryan Maier was not one of them. This blog will call out the good, the bad and the ugly. Everyone knows that Commissioner Maxwell and Commissioner Amoroso are not members of the KKK. This is a parody. How do you think Trump feels when he has to see Saturday Night Live?

Put on your big boy panties, boys.  Maxwell and Amoroso did try to publicly "lynch" Commissioner Maier for a fabricated code violation. At the time,William Waters, Director of Sustainability said, "The code citations were not evidence-based, rather based solely on the claim of a woman..."  Not only that, Ryan Maier took their smirks for two years as well as another politically driven code complaint where he has his business. As an elected official, he put up with way too much probably because he beat their friend in a landslide.

If you have a city Facebook page, look for all sorts of attacks. I don't think Amoroso will be able to handle that. You either, mayor, as you seem to be still burning from a parody that was about you.

How many countries conspired against Trump?

John Hinderaker at Powerline Blog has some astute analysis:
So just about every Western intelligence service was collaborating with the Obama administration in trying to elect Hillary Clinton. Yet, amazingly enough, they failed.
The blindingly obvious point that the Guardian tries to obscure is that the combined assets of all of these agencies failed to find any evidence of collaboration between the Trump campaign and Russia. We know this, because the Democrats have pulled out all the stops. Both before the election, and especially after the election, they have leaked furiously to try to discredit President Trump. If there were any evidence of collusion between Trump (or even obscure, minor “advisers” like Carter Page) and Russia, there would have been nothing else in the Washington Post or the New York Times for the past five months. But they have nothing.
What was really going on seems clear. Everyone involved in this story thought that Hillary Clinton was sure to win the election.
Read about it...and how Obama used the British intelligence services to spy on Trump. And guess what? Nothing was found.

Tuesday's Commission Meeting

Other than pastor Mike Olive giving the invocation, there is nothing whatsoever going on at Tuesday night's meeting. We will get to hear the PBSO report probably telling us that crime is on the decline

This is what is on the Consent Agenda:

1. Palm Beach is spending a small fortune to underground its utility lines. They want two sections of our beach to erect transformers in order to complete their project. The Utility Easements require the Town of Palm Beach to maintain the Easement Areas and all equipment located therein, including appropriate landscape screening of any visible equipment. And we're going to be good neighbors and give them the easements.

2.  The Task Order with Rosso Site Development, Inc. authorizes the re-paving and striping of the dilapidated parking lot at 1749 3rd Ave South in an amount not to exceed $50,000.

3.  We will be replacing two vehicles in the Refuse Department that have 100,000 miles on them with two new vehicles costing $74,000 with a six year warranty.

4.  The code compliance Department added a new employee thus a new vehicle is needed: 2017 GMC Terrain purchased from Garber Automall, an approved vendor from the State of Florida’s Dept. of Management Services purchase agreement, for a cost not to exceed $26,600.

5.  The City is authorizing the taxpayers pay for the "free lunch. Authorized City of Lake Worth public purpose food and refreshment purchases include,  but are not limited to, the following: . Community-oriented events, meetings and workshops;  Special events, camps and programs; . Economic development special meetings and workshops; and . Employee related activities.

6.  The city has planned for a Plans Reviewer/Inspector for the Building Division but can't find anyone qualified. The city manager wants to hire Hy-Byrd and this requires an amendment to allow for an additional expenditure of $35,000 for a total fiscal year amount of up to $80,000 for plans review and inspection services for Fiscal Year 2017. Remember, this Trio already increased the city manager authority to do what he wants up to $25,000.

We will have a new Benefits Broker. The one we have been using is located in Seattle, Washington.

100 dead and count climbing from MOAB

By Saagar Enjeti, DCNF

Nearly 100 dead bodies have been pulled from Islamic State caves targeted Thursday by the largest non-nuclear bomb in the U.S. military’s arsenal, Afghan military officials told The Wall Street Journal.

Afghan officials say the death toll is likely to increase as U.S. and Afghan Security Forces continue their damage assessment and clear the formerly held ISIS territory. The U.S. dropped the “mother of all bombs” on ISIS’s headquarters in Afghanistan after repeated efforts to expel the militants failed. No civilian casualties have been reported yet by the U.S. or Afghan military.

Easter Message

1 Corinthians 15:20-23
English Standard Version (ESV) 20 But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.
21 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.

Easter Message from Speaker Paul Ryan:

One of the most important messages that Christianity has brought the world is one of hope.

In today’s world, that may sound na├»ve.

We are surrounded by stories of war, poverty, disease, addiction, loneliness, and failure—to name a few.

Our work to try and eradicate these social ills certainly has its ups and downs. It’s never over.

But today, on Easter Sunday, we are reminded that suffering isn’t the whole story. We believe that there is a different ending for us all.

Diverse though we may be, Christians around the world are united in our shared belief that Jesus rose from the dead. Yes, we will struggle. But after our struggle, there is always redemption. And there is always hope.

Today, I wish you and your loved ones a blessed Easter.

Melania Wins $3 Million on Libel Case

I don't think it was a large enough settlement as the liberal left keep denigrating and calling her a hooker--that's half the country fell for and have spread the lie. They are so naive they fall for anything but the truth.

Conservative activists win in Maryland and Tennessee

[NumbersUSA] Congratulations to our NumbersUSA activists in Maryland and Tennessee. They were on the winning side this week in tough fights against nationwide forces seeking to reward illegal immigration through state laws. Our activists in those two states have been getting a lot of special Action Alerts to help them influence their state legislators and governors. Running this part of our NumbersUSA operation -- as in all our NumbersUSA state-centered campaigns -- were Van Esser and Ashley Craig.
Van and Ashley swing into action each time a pro-enforcement state legislator, local official or activist contacts them about an opportunity or threat that needs the support of NumbersUSA activists. Van has a special feel for these state and local actions; before joining NumbersUSA's staff, he worked in the Illinois legislature and here in Washington with state legislators from all over the country. Most of you are in states that likely will be seeing state alerts from Van and Ashley's team over the next year.

Maryland has been one of the most Democratic and pro-illegal immigration states in the country. It was logical that it would be one of the first to respond to a nationwide effort to have states declare themselves in opposition to Pres. Trump's announced efforts to greatly increase the removal of criminal aliens from the country.

The Maryland House of Delegates approved a bill that would have had the practical effect of releasing many criminal aliens onto the streets instead of being held until federal immigration agents arrived to put them into proceedings to remove them from the country. The bill was widely regarded as one declaring Maryland to be a "sanctuary state."

After a vigorous public outcry against the bill, Democrat Thomas V. Mike Miller (the president of the state Senate) announced this week that he would not bring the bill to a vote, killing it for the year.

Commentators suggested that the expressions of opposition from voters divided the normally solid anti-enforcement state Democratic Party between those who see illegal aliens as a minority group needing protection and those who see illegal immigration as posing threats that need to be curbed.

A narrow vote in the Tennessee House killed an in-state tuition bill that had already passed the state Senate. The bill would have given taxpayer-subsidized in-state tuition to illegal border crossers and visa overstays. Our Tennessee colleagues have had to fight this bill three straight years. Each time, the bill was introduced by Republicans. The Republican governor supported this bill.

Tennessee has a government controlled by a Republican Party that often bows to the cheap-worker business interests on immigration issues and on incentives for illegal aliens. Both of Tennessee's Republican U.S. Senators were full-throated supporters of the giant Gang of Eight Amnesty in 2013.

The Republican supporters of illegal immigration can count on nearly all Democrats in the legislature, so our activists had their work cut out for them to win this fight. Congratulations. Numbers USA

The lawsuit in Miami was brought on by some homeowners and Airbnb joined the suit. It largely centers around the commission’s decision and a state law passed in 2011 which prohibits cities and municipalities from banning vacation rental homes unless those laws already existed.

Miami outlawed Airbnb as an illegal nuisance but the petitioners say "not so," and even are citing First Amendment rights. Basically they say that you should be able to do anything you want with your own property (property rights) and screw city codes. All of these rentals escalated since the Sober Homes scam came into existence.
