Man jailed on Federal Death Threat charges

Pennsylvania man who announced Senate bid against Fetterman now jailed on federal death-threat charges

A 40-year-old Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, man who declared on YouTube earlier this year that he would challenge Sen. John Fetterman in 2028 is now sitting in a federal jail cell, indicted on five counts of threatening to kill the president, members of Congress, and ICE agents.

Raymond Eugene Chandler III faces up to 50 years in prison and $1.25 million in fines after authorities say he left a string of voicemails on congressional phone lines advocating violence against federal officials and their families.

U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti announced the indictment, which charges Chandler with influencing, impeding, or retaliating against federal officials and federal law enforcement officers by threat.

Each of the five counts carries a maximum sentence of 10 years and a $250,000 fine. A judge has ordered Chandler to remain in custody while the case proceeds.

The charges land at a moment when threats against public officials, from both ends of the political spectrum, have become a persistent security concern. But the details alleged in this indictment are unusually specific, and unusually chilling.

President Trump’s visit to China hit a tense security snag after Chinese officials blocked a Secret Service agent from entering a Beijing temple with a weapon.

The standoff delayed access to the historic site for about 90 minutes as U.S. and Chinese officials clashed over security protocols. China Blocks Armed Agent.

The dispute unfolded Thursday during President Trump’s state visit to China. Chinese security officials temporarily stopped a U.S. Secret Service agent at Beijing’s Temple of Heaven.

The issue centered on whether the agent could enter the historic site while carrying a weapon.

Our Pharmaceutical vulnerability

A nation that cannot make its own essential medicines is a nation living on borrowed security

President Trump has recently signed a new proclamation to swiftly accelerate the onshoring of pharmaceutical manufacturing — one of America’s most strategically vulnerable sectors.

America’s vulnerability runs across all three stages of the medicine-making process. That begins with the raw ingredients, known as key starting materials; extends to the active pharmaceutical ingredients in the second stage; and finally it includes finished dosage forms, such as tablets, capsules, and injectables.

Today, more than half of the branded pharmaceuticals distributed in America are manufactured overseas. Upstream dependence is sharper still. Only 11 percent of active pharmaceutical ingredients manufacturers are in the U.S., compared with 22 percent in China and 44 percent in India. And of all patented active pharmaceutical ingredients sold in the U.S., only 15 percent by volume are made here.

America’s vulnerability runs deeper still at the front end of the supply chain, where more than 40 percent of the key starting materials used in U.S.-approved pharmaceuticals are sole-sourced from China and another 16 percent from India.

While America still leads the world in pharmaceutical discovery, it no longer controls enough of the industrial base to turn that discovery into secure supply. We have become a design-and-discovery superpower with a hollowed-out production base.

Passover, also called Pasch or Pesach, is a major Jewish holiday and one of the Three Pilgrimage Festivals. It celebrates the Exodus of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt.

Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz of the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office led the county’s annual pre-Passover security briefing Wednesday, bringing together federal, state, and local officials to address threats facing the Jewish community ahead of the holiday.

The high-level meeting, held at the agency’s headquarters and coordinated together with Chief Chaplain Rabbi Mark Rosenberg—who also serves as Senior Advisor to the Sheriff and as Chief Chaplain for both the Florida Highway Patrol and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement—drew approximately 160 attendees, including community leaders, law enforcement officials, and representatives from municipalities across South Florida.

This year’s briefing comes at a time of heightened concern, amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran and a noticeable rise in antisemitic incidents across the United States.

As we approach Passover, our focus is on visibility, readiness, and partnership. We will act decisively—investigating thoroughly and holding those responsible accountable under the law.

One university showed how to protect Charlie Kirk – UVU ignored every lesson

Just two weeks before Kirk was gunned down in Utah, officials in Tulare County, California showed exactly how to secure a Charlie Kirk event.

• They conducted three days of advance reconnaissance before his speech.
• They mapped out potential threats and studied Kirk’s opposition in the area.
• They deployed 60 law enforcement officers to monitor the 2,000-person event. They sent up a drone to secure surrounding rooftops – exactly where Kirk’s killer would later position himself.

"The very nature of Charlie Kirk coming in requires you take special attention to the nuances of what could possibly happen," Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux told the Associated Press. "He’s a high profile name and personality. Not only do we have to provide for the safety of people attending, we have to provide for the safety of him."

Meanwhile at UVU, administrators assigned exactly six campus police officers to Kirk’s event – about one-quarter of their available force. No drones. No rooftop surveillance. No advance reconnaissance of threats.

Tyler Robinson walked onto campus at 11:52 a.m., made his way to a rooftop position 142 yards away, and had a clear shot at Kirk with a bolt-action rifle.

Request for more funds for Security

WH Confirms $58 Million Ask for Security After Kirk Assassination

With Democrats reportedly talking about obstructing a continuing resolution and forcing a government shutdown by Oct. 1, the White House has requested $58 million from Congress to strengthen security for the executive and judicial branches following the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

A White House official confirmed to Newsmax the amount and the request to be included as part of upcoming government funding deal.

The funding would expand protection for Supreme Court justices and increase resources for the U.S. Marshals Service, officials said. The request comes ahead of a Sept. 30 government funding deadline, raising pressure on Congress to act quickly.

Mike Johnson has pressed for enhanced security measures for Congress and warned about social media-fueled calls for violence.

"We've got to protect people who run for public office or no one will, and that's heavy on our hearts and minds, as we also, you know, work through the trauma of what happened," Johnson told reporters Thursday.

But before his term ended, then-President Biden signed an order to extend Harris' protection beyond six months to July 2026. Aides to Harris had asked Biden for the extension. Without it, her security detail would have ended last month.

Gov. Gavin Newsom, who would need to sign off on such CHP protection, would not confirm the arrangement. "Our office does not comment on security arrangements," said Izzy Gordon, a spokesperson for Newsom. "The safety of our public officials should never be subject to erratic, vindictive political impulses."

Mexican Nationals arrested with 180,000 rounds of ammunition

Mexican nationals arrested with jaw-dropping amount of ammo

Two Mexican nationals, here on temporary visas, were arrested during a routine traffic stop in Colorado last month while transporting a staggering 180,000 rounds of ammunition.

Caesar Ramon Martinez Solis, 41, and Humberto Ivan Amador Gavira, 24, were pulled over in Canon City on March 26 after Fremont County detectives spotted their white Chevrolet van passing without dimming its headlights.

The detectives also noticed the van failing to signal when turning into a gas station and had a defective license plate lamp.

What they discovered during the traffic stop left law enforcement shocked – approximately 150 boxes of .308 ammunition and about 30 boxes of 7.62 ammunition, with each box containing 1,000 rounds.

The sheer volume of ammunition seized is enough to supply a major criminal operation for months.

Space Force Vice Chief Issues Warning About Activity In Space

The United States Space Force should pivot its focus to keeping pace with weaponry used in orbit by the nation’s adversaries, a top General has warned.

According to Space.com, Gen Michael A. Guetlein, Vice Chief of Space Operations spoke at the 16th annual McAleese “Defense Programs” Conference in Arlington, Virgina, Tuesday, and warned that Space Force needs to rethink how its approaches its satellite security measures.

“The reason we stood the United States Space Force up, was to make a pivot,” Guetlein said. “Because we had seen our near peers starting to catch up with us and starting to get very capable and very determined at denying our ability to use space.”

Guetlein said the Space Force needs to work on enhancing its war-fighting capabilities.

He continued: “What we did not inherit when we stood up the United States Space Force, is space superiority as a core function. We didn’t have the doctrine, we didn’t have culture, we didn’t have the kit. And part of standing up the Space Force was to make it a war-fighting force, capable of defending our capabilities in and through space, capable of guaranteeing that we are going to have space superiority for the joint force, no matter what the joint-force is asked to do.”

Guetlein noted that one of the issues is people thinking that Space Force isn’t actually real, and this attitude is working against the U.S. because people aren’t necessarily worried about space.

Private Data, Passwords of Senior US Security Officials Found Online

"Private contact details of the most important security advisers to U.S. President Donald Trump can be found on the internet. DER SPIEGEL (Der Spiegel is a weekly news magazine published in Hamburg since 1947. It is known for its investigative journalism and political scandals) reporters were able to find mobile phone numbers, email addresses and even some passwords belonging to the top officials.

To do so, the reporters used commercial people search engines along with hacked customer data that has been published on the web. Those affected by the leaks include National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.

Most of these numbers and email addresses are apparently still in use, with some of them linked to profiles on social media platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn. They were used to create Dropbox accounts and profiles in apps that track running data. There are also WhatsApp profiles for the respective phone numbers and even Signal accounts in some cases.

As such, the reporting has revealed an additional grave, previously unknown security breach at the highest levels in Washington. Hostile intelligence services could use this publicly available data to hack the communications of those affected by installing spyware on their devices.

It is thus conceivable that foreign agents were privy to the Signal chat group in which Gabbard, Waltz and Hegseth discussed a military strike."

US and Mexico agree to military collaboration on patrols, communication for border security

Military commanders from the U.S. and Mexico have agreed to conduct coordinated patrols, share more information and establish channels for instant communication as part of increased border security each country has put in place in the past month.

“Both leaders expect their agreement will serve to enable further conversations and coordination in greater detail at varied levels to ensure the mutual security of the border,” Defense Department Chief of Staff Joseph Kasper said Wednesday.

The changes stemmed from a recently held meeting between Air Force Gen. Gregory Guillot, commander of U.S. Northern Command, and Gen. Ricardo Trevilla Trejo, secretary of national defense for Mexico.

The coordinated patrols will occur with each country’s troops remaining on their respective sides of the Rio Grande, the river that divides the U.S. and Mexico, Kasper said.

Remember back in 2021 when Biden, in a fit of “concern” over national security, stripped Trump of his access to intelligence briefings? At the time, Biden cited Trump’s “erratic behavior” as the reason.

This is nothing new to me--we all knew it

"A bombshell revelation about former President Donald Trump's actions leading up to the January 6 Capitol incident has emerged as he prepares to return to the White House.

According to The Western Journal, a new report indicates that Trump explicitly ordered then-Acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller to deploy military assets to ensure safety during the January 6 certification, but Miller allegedly defied these orders.

The report, titled "On the Failures and Politicization of the January 6 Select Committee," cites transcripts from Department of Defense Inspector General interviews that paint a drastically different picture from the narrative promoted by the Democratic-led January 6 committee.

These documents suggest that Milley's decision to ignore Trump's directive may have contributed to the security failures that day. Former Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley admitted to investigators that he deliberately chose to disregard Trump's directive, stating:

There was absolutely — there is absolutely no way I was putting U.S. Military forces at the Capitol.

Canada pivots from 'diversity is our strength,' locks down border fearing migrant influx

Canadian officials are bracing for a possible migrant influx into their country because of President-elect Donald Trump's election victory in the U.S., marking a major pivot in policy compared to Trump's first White House term.

Canada's Liberal Party-led government appears to be taking a much more hawkish approach to illegal immigration and the possibility of a surge in asylum seekers, according to the New York Times.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) — the country's law enforcement arm that patrols the border — is preparing to beef up its immigration enforcement capabilities by hiring more staff, adding more vehicles and creating more processing facilities.

"To those fleeing persecution, terror & war, Canadians will welcome you, regardless of your faith. Diversity is our strength #WelcomeToCanada," the Canadian prime minister posted on social media on Jan. 28, 2017, just days after Trump was sworn into office.

Now they're singing a different tune!

However, in the years since Trudeau made these public overtures, the Canadian government has recognized the need to change course. The change in policy is largely reflective of less tolerance in the country for mass migration, public opinion surveys have shown.

Hundreds of Ballots Destroyed in Oregon and Washington Ballot Box Fires 🔥

Fires damage ballots in Portland and Vancouver as voters are urged to check ballot status; officials emphasize election security amid ongoing investigations.

Two fires at ballot drop boxes in Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington, led to police responses early on Oct. 28, with one fire resulting in the destruction of potentially hundreds of ballots. Officials said at a press conference that they believe the incidents are connected and that they have identified a suspect vehicle.

At about 3:30 a.m. in Portland, officers responded to reports of a fire at a ballot drop box outside the Multnomah County elections office.

Mike Brenner, public information officer for the Portland Police Bureau (PPB), stated: “By the time officers arrived, I can tell you that security personnel in the area had already extinguished the fire. Our officers quickly determined that there was an incendiary device that had been attached to the ballot box, and that is what ignited this fire.”

In Vancouver’s Clark County, another “incendiary device” was placed in a drop box a few hours later, burning “hundreds” of ballots, as shown in footage from local ABC outlet KATU. First responders were seen pulling still-burning ballots from the box, which continued smoldering despite pouring rain.

Republicans training sessions to monitor Elections in key states

Ballot Security Situation ‘Infinitely Better’ in PA than 2020, Top Attorney Says

The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) is training thousands of volunteer attorneys to monitor the November election in key battleground states, with training sessions this month for Wisconsin, Texas, Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

“We’re kind of like the National Guard that deploys the troops and somebody else commands them,” says RNLA President Michael Thielen.

The Trump campaign, he says, is in charge of the lawyers who will be on the ground in Pennsylvania and the other battlegrounds.

Their job won’t be easy.

“Sometimes it’s hard to see where the incompetence ends and the fraud begins,” says Thielen, pointing to cases from the 2020 election where masks were not required to vote but some election officials refused to admit people to vote if they weren’t wearing a mask in school buildings, for instance.

In April, the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee announced they would have 100,000 election monitors on the ground in key states during the 2024 election, including thousands of lawyers ready to respond quickly to irregularities and violations of state election laws.
