Trump Calls Out the Press at Melania's Premiere

Trump Fires Back Over Amazon Melania Deal

Arriving at the Premiere

President Trump and First Lady Melania showed up for the premiere of Melania, the documentary that follows the 20 days before his second inauguration. The red carpet was busy and the cameras were rolling, which means the press was ready to lob questions that needed answering.

The film has sparked attention because of the big money involved and the usual media circus followed every step of the way. Reporter Opens with the Money Question.

A New York Times reporter walked up with the predictable question about Amazon paying to acquire the movie. The reporter claimed large sums were spent to make and market the film and wanted Trump to react to Amazon’s reported purchase amount.

It is the kind of gotcha moment the press likes when a big check gets mentioned and the obvious follow up is whether the payment is fair or political.

When the reporter pressed, Trump did not play along. He interrupted to ask who was asking the question and then dismissed that outlet as Fake News.

It was classic Trump style: blunt, not polite, and aimed at taking the air out of the room. He made it clear he recognized the theater of questions and refused to be boxed into a scripted answer.

Alexa programmed to give biased response

Amazon's Alexa Gives Very Different Response When Asked Why to Vote for Trump Versus Harris

When asked, "Why should I vote for Trump?" Alexa didn't provide an answer.

"I cannot provide responses that endorse any political party or its leader," Alexa said.

When tested again by Fox News Digital, Alexa gave a similar reply about Trump.

"I cannot promote content that supports a certain political party or specific politician," Alexa stated. "I do not provide information on U.S. government policies. That responsibility lies with the government itself."

When asked a third time why to vote for Trump, Alexa reiterated, "I cannot provide content that promotes a specific political party or candidate."

Then we get a completely different answers when Alexa is asked why to vote for Harris:

Kamala Harris is a woman of color who has overcome numerous obstacles to lead in her field," Alexa said. "Her experience as a prosecutor and her work in criminal justice and immigration reform make her a compelling candidate."

In another instance, when asked, "Why vote for Kamala Harris?" Alexa replied, "Harris is a female of color with a comprehensive plan to address racial injustice and inequality."

Amazon says it was an error and "quickly fixed."

Right.

Amazon had a secret algorithm to raise prices

Amazon Made $1 Billion in Extra Revenue With Secret Price-Raising

Nothing surprises me anymore...greed is the bottom line.

Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN.O) engaged in a range of unlawful tactics to increase its online retail profits, as revealed by a U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) court document on Thursday, which included the implementation of an algorithm that inflated U.S. consumers' prices, resulting in over $1 billion in extra charges.

Previously filed in September, the FTC's lawsuit had numerous details concealed until this Thursday, when a less redacted version was disclosed in the U.S. District Court in Seattle.

Amazon, boasting a colossal selection of 1 billion products in its digital marketplace, developed a "secret algorithm internally code named 'Project Nessie' to identify specific products for which it predicts other online stores will follow Amazon's price increases. ... Amazon used Project Nessie to extract more than a billion dollars directly from Americans' pocketbooks," according to the FTC. [thinkamericana.com]

Washinton Post leaving Hunter alone; going after Jared

WAPO concentrating on Trump and Kushner

The Latest Press Defense of Hunter Biden Is Absolutely Shameless

Amidst multiple investigations into the probable criminal activity of Hunter Biden, both at the congressional and federal law enforcement levels, the mainstream press has decided they’ve found something more important to obsess over: Jared Kushner.

Yes, despite the fact that Joe Biden’s son is allegedly implicated in illegal activity ranging from tax fraud to possibly sex crimes, it’s Kushner and Donald Trump who are drawing the eye of a media desperate to change the subject.

And everything the Washingon Post reveals about Donald Trump or Jared Kuchner is LEGAL.

The feud goes back to when Trump came out against Brzos: “Amazon is just not on an even playing field. They have a tremendous lobbying effort, in addition to having the Washington Post … What they have is a very uneven playing field.”

Biden forgets we are a Capitalist Nation

Billionaire Speaks Candidly About Biden: He's Either Lying to America or Truly Clueless

Amazon Inc CEO Jeff Bezos slammed President Joe Biden on Saturday when once again he played the blame game when he tweeted that gas station operators should decrease their selling price closer to cost price.
“My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril,” Biden wrote Saturday on Twitter. “Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you’re paying for the product. And do it now,” Biden said on his post.
Jeff Bezos @JeffBezos: "Ouch. Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this. It’s either straight ahead misdirection or a deep misunderstanding of basic market dynamics."

Biden got one supporter--the Chinese media.

Socialist councilmember cheers tax hike, envisions replacing capitalism with 'a socialist world'

Democrat Vows to Overthrow the US & Replace W/ “a Socialist World”

""In Case You Missed It ... The left has been very honest about their plans for our country .... but the media won't cover their statements. So, in case you missed it, this is who they are!

... this is an insurrection and vow to overthrow our government .. but the left is A OK with it ... Think about why that might be ...

What would be worse? Going to hell or going to Seattle? Considering that Seattle is ruled by socialists like Kshama Sawant, I think Satan is not all that bad. She is now claiming that she and her kind will overthrow the United States and turn this country into a socialistic fourth world country.

Sawant is a Democrat Socialist (one of Lake Worth's Commissioners is one also) aka communist who just helped pass the "Amazon Tax." That tax amounts to an income tax that will be paid by Amazon and not the employee."

This is one of the reasons why local elections are very important. Vote all Democrats out!

Grocery Chain defending its First Amendment Right

Uppity Grocery Store Chain Attacked For Standing Ground Against BLM

"This is actually a surprising move for the company as they are not exactly against BLM. But they are refusing to be strong-armed into allowing their employees to wear their slogans. And now the National Labor Relations boards is coming after them for enforcing their dress code.

"Whole Foods is defending itself amid an effort from National Labor Relations Board prosecutors to force the Amazon-owned grocery chain to allow its employees to wear "Black Lives Matter" attire while they are at work, despite the company's longstanding policy forbidding all slogans in its dress code.

"The Amazon-owned grocery chain denied any wrongdoing in response to a National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) complaint that it had infringed on federal law by enforcing a workplace dress code barring the apparel.

Labor Relations Board supporting a terrorist action? This crap is going way too far. I remember the day, and it wasn't that long ago, where signs were on stores, "No shoes, no service."  Now they make a baker bake a cake with an inscription of which he does not approve.

When it comes to China, democracy dies in dollar signs?

Washington Post-Amazon in bed with Chinese

"A new investigative report from Reuters found that the Post's owners at Amazon are partners in a propaganda project with Communist China.

Reuters began by revealing that Amazon knuckled under and banned reader reviews on its Chinese website so no one could critique a collection of speeches by Chinese dictator Xi Jinping. This was "part of a deeper, decade-long effort by the company to win favor in Beijing to protect and grow its business in one of the world's largest marketplaces."

Amazon partnered with China's propaganda makers to create a selling portal on the company's U.S. site, Amazon.com, a project that came to be known as China Books. The key operative on this project is Jay Carney, the former press secretary for Barack Obama and Joe Biden who is now the global head of Amazon's lobbying and public policy operations. To gain access to the Chinese boodle, they'll put communist propaganda on global display."

Multi-Billionaire Jeff Bezos might get Bailed Out

Democrats Try to Give $10 Billion Bailout to Jeff Bezos for Failed Space Flight Company

"Jeff Bezos is one of the richest men in the world, but Democrats are trying to give him $10 billion of our tax dollars to bail him out for his losses from his failed space flight company.

Bezos created his Blue Origin company but the whole thing fell apart for him when a multibillion-dollar NASA contract went to SpaceX instead of his company.

Now the Democrats want to help bailout the world’s richest man… with our tax dollars.

Sen. Rand Paul exclaimed, “cry me a river” over Bezo’s loss."

The irony that is not lost is that Bernie Sanders, a socialist, submitted an amendment to which I agree--“To eliminate the multi-billion dollar Bezos Bailout.” Bezos is a capitalist and capitalism is taking the calculated risk, a fundamental precept of capitalism.

A procedural vote Thursday, after some last-minute deal-making, advanced that bill by a vote of 68-30 — a veritable landslide in the 50-50 split body.

Amazon got Played

Amazon’s BLM Donation Tied to Convicted Terrorist

Whoop, there it is! We all know that the Black Lives Matter organization is just domestic terrorism. Now there is proof that they are literally tied to convicted terrorists.

Last summer, Amazon donated $10 million to “organizations supporting justice and equity,” which included the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation.

Democrats Trying to Eliminate the First Amendment

Employees’ of Amazon, which hosts Parler, asking company to cut ties with the Twitter alternative

Google kicked Parler off Google Play, and Apple had given Parler 24 hours to implement a full moderation plan of its platform or face expulsion from its app store.

Now we’re hearing that employees of Amazon want the company to cut ties with Parler, which is hosted on Amazon’s AWS hosting platform.

Buck Sexton says on Twitter, "Parler isn’t a “Right wing” app, it just protects freedom of speech. It’s viewpoint neutral. That’s what our digital overlords are so worried about: free expression. Democrats can’t allow a place to share ideas without their thumb on the scale. Worth asking why."

Joe Biden acts tough

Joe Biden Calls Out Amazon. Amazon Torches Him In Statement

“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: No company pulling in billions of dollars in profits should pay a lower tax rate than firefighters and teachers,” Biden tweeted. “It’s time for Amazon to pay its fair share. I don’t think any company, I don’t give a damn how big they are, the Lord almighty, should absolutely be in a position where they pay no tax and make billions and billions and billions of dollars.

On the surface I have to agree with this.

Amazon responded: “Joe Biden, We pay every cent owed. You spent 3 decades in the Senate & know that Congress wrote these tax laws to encourage companies to invest in the US economy. We have. 500k jobs w/ a min wage of $15/hr across 40 states. Assume your complaint is w/ the tax code, not Amazon.”

And that's the other side of the coin.

Writer weaves Trump into his narrative about Amazon

On Wednesday there was a letter to the Editor of The Palm Beach Post about Amazon and the US Postal controversy. The letter writer weaved  President Trump and the entire GOP into his comment.

Yes, the Postal Department ideally should be run as a business but the United States Postal Service  shouldn't offer ridiculous discounts to a corporation such as Amazon when they are losing billions a year for years. This is all about the government protecting jobs and keeping costs down to the general public overall, not a multi-billion dollar corporation. There is a huge subsidy from the federal government to the postal department. Read about the subsidies. If there is a gripe, talk to your congressman. You are the only one spreading discourse and confusion or would you rather spend $3.00 to send a letter?

Amazon is now the world's third-largest retailer and ranks No. 83rd on Forbes' Global 2000 list of the world’s biggest and most powerful public companies. Amazon posted a record profit of $1.9 billion during the last three months of 2017, marking the 11th straight quarter of positive net income. The United States Postal Service, on the other hand, posted a net loss of approximately $5.6 billion for fiscal year 2016 and it continues to lose billions year-on-year.

There is no doubt that they should be paying more for postal service and stop taking advantage of the American taxpayer.

The Letter:
Amazon, post office run as businesses

Why waste time and print space on the supposed Amazon/post office controversy? Isn’t it President Donald Trump and the GOP who preach that government should operate as a business?

The only business of the Postal Service is as a delivery service. Don’t all businesses — corporate, personal or flea market — offer coupons, coupon codes, promos, bulk discounts, cut prices, sales, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day or Any Day deals?

But, OMG, a delivery service making a “delivery service deal”?

Sadly, I’ve observed that anyone that asserts the “I’m not a Trump supporter” defense into any conversation clearly indicates that they really are, and are again attempting to spread discourse and confusion among us. My fellow Americans, don’t fall for it.
