Kapernick on Independence Day

Confused Colin Kaepernick Says Fourth of July is “Celebration of White Supremacy”

While most of our fellow countrymen were grilling burgers and listening to Sousa marches, Kaepernick was foaming at the mouth about Independence Day — calling it a “celebration of white supremacy.”

I often wonder what his White parents think about his insubordination to American ideals.

D-Day June 6, 1944

By June 6th 1944, the Allies had landed 150,000 men in Normandy. The five beaches were secure and the troops were pushing inland.

[History on the Net] The total number of casualties that occurred during Operation Overlord, from June 6 (the date of D-Day) to August 30 (when German forces retreated across the Seine) was over 425,000 Allied and German troops. This figure includes over 209,000 Allied casualties:

Nearly 37,000 dead among the ground forces
16,714 deaths among the Allied air forces.
Of the Allied casualties, 83,045 were from 21st Army Group (British, Canadian and Polish ground forces) 125,847 from the US ground forces.

And Colin, this is why our flag is important.

Nike and its decision to use Kaepernick

Nike Air Jordan 5--$210

Nike lost a lot of market capital yesterday. The figure is now over $4 billion. Their market cap is 127,404,141,225.

Using Colin Kaepernick as a spokesperson for their brand is a curious choice.

Nike is number one and perhaps feels it can take the hit. I have to wonder what their shareholders think or what their real objective might be. Marketing to the kids, some of whom will beat you to a pulp just for your expensive shoes?

"Nike Inc. is arguably the largest maker of athletic shoes in the world and is also among the top sports equipment makers. Nike tennis shoes are definitely worth the cost in terms of comfort, durability and looks too. The company makes well over 15 billion dollars a year and has some of the best looking athletic shoes that one can find. The company has many different sub brands that produce some of the best sporting equipment in the world." [topyaps.com]

The Poll--Nike is bringing in former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick as one of the faces for their 30th anniversary 'Just Do It' campaign.

Will you still buy Nike products based on this move? Western Mass News poll.

Here are the results so far:
Yes--    21%
No--     77%
Maybe-- 2%

Quote of the Day - Police Benevolent Association

“Once again, correction officers find themselves caught in Mayor [Bill] de Blasio’s political con-game. This is yet another brazen display of the hypocrisy of this mayor who pretends to support us in public, yet does everything possible to jeopardize our security in private.”

president of the Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association

Quote of the Day - Ruth Bader Ginsburg

"If they want to be stupid, there's no law that should be preventive. If they want to be arrogant, there's no law that prevents them from that. What I would do is strongly take issue with the point of view that they are expressing when they do that."

~ Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Kaepernick offers bribe

Breaking News from Newsmax.com

Quarterback Colin Kaepernick has told CBS that he would stand during the national anthem if given a chance to play football in the NFL again. According to a report by Jason La Canfora on Sunday, Kaepernick has been living in New York and working out privately in New Jersey with the hope of signing with a team this season.

Cuban LB Kiko gives Kaepernick a dose of reality

Kaepernick, you know the wise guy who won't stand for the National Anthem and now wears a Fidel Castro t-shirt---well, he got "hit" by Kiko Alonso while playing the Dolphins in Miami this past Sunday. While the death of the evil dictator, Fidel Castro, was celebrated by the Cuban-American community in South Florida, the visiting quarterback got a dose of reality.

Fans should boycott NFL over protests

Fans should boycott NFL over protests

Most all American citizens recognize and agree with freedom of speech and peaceful protest given to us in our Constitution.

Kudos to longtime Dolphin fan and World War II veteran John Jordan for The Palm Beach Post article, “Anthem protest rankles WWII vet, fan: I’m done with the Dolphins” (Sept 13), saying he will not watch and will boycott the Dolphins.

I feel that the overwhelming majority of NFL fans do not support the movement started by Colin Kaepernick and then followed by other NFL players, not to stand at attention for the national anthem. Maybe now would be a good time for NFL fans to show their disapproval by boycotting games, NFL products and companies that advertise on NFL games.

Diamond & Silk's response to Kaepernick - Protest the Protesters

U.S. students should be taught respect for the U.S. flag in a “new American future” that includes instilling “pride and patriotism” in the nation’s schools, its immigration process and military, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said Thursday morning.

Lake Worth's John Jordan is "Done with the Dolphins"

Comment Up

Our friend and my hero, John Jordan, a World War II veteran, was featured in the Palm Beach Post today--front page!

Love and respect of America is supreme. In an interview with Kevin D. Thompson, John is disgusted with what some NFL players are pulling and their disrespect towards our flag and our country. We agree with John, wholeheartedly. Free speech is one thing--there's a time and a place for everything. But insolence and showing contempt towards our country is another.

Click here... and see the video.

As Lt. Col (Ret) Allen West said, "Here’s what I’d like to have: a simple discussion with these players who are taking this action over social justice, equal rights, and equal opportunity. I’d like to know what specific policy they believe the United States of America promotes to hinder these ideals. As a matter of fact, I’d like these football players to explain what social justice, equal rights and equal opportunity mean."

Labor Day Weekend Curfew in West Palm Beach

Comment Up

Expect the rowdy kids to head to Lake Worth over Labor day weekend. Of course, few have ever worked and many are clueless as to what we are honoring: contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, the well-being of the country and the labor movement.

We even have a 28 year old NFL quarterback who is ungrateful for what life has given him: Kaepernick signed a 6 year, $114,000,000 contract with the San Francisco 49ers, including a $12,328,766 signing bonus, $61,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $19,000,000.  NFL players are under a collective bargaining agreement.

When someone of this stature dishonors our country, kids are impressionable and think things like this are "cool."

Will we see any deputies on the streets of downtown Lake Worth beginning Friday night at 10pm?

Quote of the Day - Allen West on Quarterback Colin Kaepernick

Comment Up

“I would recommend a simple scripture from the wise King Solomon for Mr. Kaepernick, Proverbs 17:28 (NIV): ‘Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.' Or, as the old folks down South would say, ‘best for a stupid person to keep their mouth shut and not open it and let everyone know they are.'

“When the National Anthem is played, I salute because I am a black man born and raised in the inner city afforded the opportunity for greatness in my own right. May you seek God’s forgiveness and find humility, because we, the people are not going to forget what you did and said.”

~ Allen West

Reacting to the NFL star Kaepernick who refused and says he will continue to refuse to stand for our National Anthem and our Flag. His father refers to him as a "kid" who was Baptized Methodist and is religious and says we shouldn't be so hard on him.  He's 25 years old and has been given every advantage to be a success in America developing his God given talents. It is rumored that he is being radicalized by his girlfriend.
