A Sounding off on Hollywood Celebrities

Dear Hollywood celebrities,

It’s time to wake up now.  Get this!  The only reason you exist is for my entertainment.  Some of you are beautiful.  Some of you can deliver a line with such conviction that you bring tears to my eyes. Some of you are so convincing that you scare the crap out of me. And others are so funny you can make me laugh uncontrollably.

But you all have one thing in common.  You only exist and have a place in my world to entertain me.  That’s it.  Nothing else!

You make your living pretending to be someone else. You play dress-up like a 5-year-old.  Your world is a make believe world.  It is not real.  It doesn’t exist.  You live for the camera while the rest of us live in the real world.  Your entire existence depends on my patronage.  I crank the organ grinder, and you dance.
Therefore, I don’t care where you stand on issues.  Honestly, your opinion means nothing to me.  Just because you had a lead role in a movie about prostitution doesn’t mean you know what it’s like to be a prostitute.  Your view matters far less to me than that of a someone living in Timbuktu .

Believe me or not, the hard truth is that you aren’t real.  I turn off my TV or shut down my computer, and you cease to exist.  Once I am done with you, I go back to the real world until I want you to entertain me again.

I don’t care that you think BP executives deserve the death penalty. I don’t care what you think about the environment.  I don’t care if you believe fracking is bad.  I don’t care if you call for more gun control.  I don’t care if you believe in catastrophic human-induced global warming.  And I could care less that you supported Hillary for President.  Get back into your bubble.  I’ll let you know when I’m in the mood for something pretty or scary or funny.

And one other thing.  What was with all this “I’ll leave the country if Donald Trump wins”?  Don’t you know how stupid that made you sound?  What did you think my reaction was going to be?  I better not vote for Trump or we’ll lose Whoopi Goldberg?  Al Sharpton?  Amy Schumer?  Leave.  I don’t care!  And don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

Make me laugh.  Make me cry. Even scare me. But realize this, the only words of yours that matter are scripted — just like your pathetic little lives.  I may agree with some of you from time to time, but in the final analysis, it doesn’t matter.  In my world, you exist solely for my entertainment.

So, shut your pie hole and dance, monkey, DANCE

Meryl Streep and other Hollywood types

I love movies and go all of the time. Since this election, Hollywood celebrities, who are only celebrities because we support their movies which allows them to make tons of money, will now be carefully scrutinized by me. To make my life happier with less toxicity, there will be no more communists, no more socialists, no more bigots, no more "stars" who think they're smarter than the Average Joe who actually allows them to live in the lifestyle that Average Joe could only dream about. They put on their pantyhose the same way I do and should stick to movies, not political slurs and half-assed opinions. And Rosie lost her "star" appeal a long time ago...glad she moved from West Palm Beach.

Thanking famous actors for telling us to vote for Hillary

It’s ironic isn’t it, that the party that loves to portray the rich as evil, is supported by the majority of Hollywood millionaires...the truth is that the entertainment industry is one that attracts way more right-brain individuals than it does left-brain. The right part of the brain is the one responsible for our feelings, emotions and fantasy, whereas the left part of the brain deals more with logic and reality.  Silent bull

The Laughable Shmegegges

Comment Up

These are the people who don't like Donald J. Trump.  They want to move from the United States if Trump wins. They are Hollywood.  They are politically correct do-gooders. They must religiously read the flame haired flame-thrower Maureen Dowd. They are all grindingly obnoxious and believe  their outrageous remarks...just another 15 minutes. They prefer open borders, an unsustainable national debt, Obamacare, free this, free that, and above all, save the world. God only knows, really. They have a problem with making America great again. George Clooney is giving a bunch of fundraisers for the flying lying Dem whack jobs. He really does deserve Bernie taking 90% of his income.

Miley Cyrus:  “I'll move out da country if he wins." Bye, bye...don't let the door...

Whoopie Goldberg: “Maybe it’s time for me to move, you know. I can afford to go."

Samuel L. Jackson:  “If that motherf—ker becomes president, I’m moving my black ass to South Africa.” Three cheers.

George Lopez:  there are “enough racists in this country for him to get elected, and added: “If he wins, he won’t have to worry about immigration. We’ll all go back.”

Al Sharpton:  “If Donald Trump is the nominee … I’m also reserving my ticket to get out of here if he wins. Only because he’d probably have me deported anyhow." Bye, bye.

Jon Stewart:  "If Trump wins, I would consider getting in a rocket and going to another planet, because clearly this planet’s gone bonkers." Bye, bye.

Eddie Griffen:  (Who is he?)  Trump “is good at making money, but he’s an ignorant motherf—ker when it comes to social issues, Griffin added. “If Trump wins, I’m moving to Africa. If he wants to build a wall to keep Mexicans out, I know what the f—k he feel about a n—a.” Bye, bye.

Cher:  “IF HE WERE TO BE ELECTED, I’M MOVING TO JUPITER." Hope she doesn't mean Jupiter, Florida.

Raven-Symone: (Is this a celebrity?) “My confession for this election is if any Republican gets nominated, I’m gonna move to Canada with my entire family. Is that bad?” she told her co-hosts last month. “I already have my ticket … No, I literally bought my ticket, I swear.”

Susan Sarandon A socialist--what will she do without Bernie? It used to be only sex that people were so confused about. She has said that "Donald Trump will bring the revolution immediately if he gets in; things will really explode."

Meanwhile, several celebrities including Jon Voight, Stephen Baldwin, Aaron Carter, Dennis Rodman, Azealia Banks, Stacey Dash and Kid Rock have publicly endorsed the GOP frontrunner, Donald Trump.

Earth First to produce a Musical in Lake Worth?

Comment Up

It looks like the City of Lake Worth will be inhabited by a environmental group, Earth First, that will be producing a musical. One side of politics in this city is apparently worried and wondering what the true intent is.

Top Gun - It Takes My Breath Away

In 1986, Tom Cruz had the "best" movie, Top Gun, and in it was the song,  Take My Breath Away.  It won awards:  the Academy Award for Best Original Song, as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song in 1986. Platoon won the Academy Award that year and Top Gun was not even in the mentioning other than for its song.  This is the movie that I remember the most and never get tired of the re-runs. Here is a "snippet" (good word lately) of the tune in the latest cool television advertisement.

The November Man

Something about flames

I liked this movie even though it is getting poor reviews. People are overly critical in today's world. I like any message that tells the tale that the good guys win over evil. It was full of action and never a dull moment with 61 year old Pierce Brosnan in a great role. He still has what it takes.

It shows the world for what it is...sometimes even those for whom you think are your friends, aren't.

Movie being filmed in Lake Worth

Roving LW Photographer and Johnny On the Spot Reporter

Last night around 7:30 under a perfect sky there was excitement in the parking lot behind the Gulfstream Hotel as a technical film crew, actors and extras began to arrive for the making of a movie at our city’s most historic location! Some of you recall when the movie Body Heat was filmed in Lake Worth some thirty years ago.

Permits and police presence were all in place as the actors and extras in costume for this film in the horror genre (sans anything naughty) went from the front entrance to the second floor for makeup touch up and registration.

The filming went well into the night and at 12:30 a.m. a huge ‘Midnight Sun’ type vehicle could still be seen idling in front of the hotel. What fun!
