The 2nd Protects our 1st

George Zimmerman files massive lawsuit against 2 Democratic presidential candidates

"George Zimmerman, the Florida block watch captain who was acquitted on murder charges in the 2012 death of Trayvon Martin, is suing two Democratic presidential candidates for defamation," NBC News is reporting.

Read about George...

According to Zimmerman, the phrase has a double meaning: It refers to both the Second Amendment protecting the First Amendment and the Confederate battle flag protecting the American flag.

I own this signed print by Zimmerman.

Democrats pander to the Black vote

Comment Up
All Lives Matter

Last evening when I turned on the television, I heard Trayvon Martin's mother speaking.  The DNC invited a lot of black mothers whose sons had been shot by our nation's police and in this case, a neighborhood watch volunteer. We will never know exactly what happened that night but one thing we do know, Zimmerman was being pummeled while Trayvon was on top of him and Zimmerman shot him to death.

The tattooed Trayvon was a 17 year old kid with problems and was suspended from school several times while he lived in Miami Gardens.  Wikipedia says: At the time of the shooting, he was serving a ten-day suspension for having a marijuana pipe and an empty bag containing marijuana residue. He had been suspended twice before, for tardiness and truancy and marking up a door with graffiti. The suspension for graffiti was in October 2011, when Martin was observed by a school police officer on a security camera "hiding and being suspicious" in a restricted area of the school. According to the officer, he later observed Martin marking up a door with "W.T.F." When his backpack was searched the next day by a Miami-Dade School Police officer, looking for the graffiti marker, the officer found a dozen pieces of women's jewelry, a watch and a screwdriver that was described by the school police officer as a burglary tool. The jewelry found in his backpack included silver wedding bands and earrings with diamonds. When Martin was asked by the officer if the jewelry belonged to his family or a girlfriend, he said a friend had given it to him.

A jury found Zimmerman not guilty of second-degree murder in 2013.

What the Democrats choose to forget is that All Lives Matter and so do the lives of police officers.  They never mentioned that last night. They pandered to the black vote and implied that they were the only Party caring about minorities.

Police need to be respected and we criticize them and hold them accountable when they over-react and a life is lost. What we don't agree with is that blacks are targeted by the men in blue. The police target those committing the crimes and they know the statistics better than anyone.

Palm Beach Shooting Center

Comment Up

Palm Beach Shooting Center is located on Industrial Street in Lake Worth. It has classes for all levels from the complete beginner or someone looking to learn how to defend himself to the shooting expert.

Monday night a group of family and friends went to the Palm Beach Shooting Center to take a course for a concealed weapons license. Crime is escalating in our country and in Lake Worth it's out of control. Recently in my community a criminal entered an elderly woman's condo while she was sitting on her couch.  The door was locked but he still managed to get inside. If she had a gun, she would have been justified in the kill.

We were there for a Concealed Weapons License. This is a basic course that covers, firearms safety, your legal responsibility and Florida law requirements. One topic it touched upon was Stand Your Ground, the very controversial law in the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin case.  If you recall, Zimmerman fatally shot Martin in Sanford, Florida and the following year, he was acquitted of second-degree murder and manslaughter. The instructor said that Florida had the best gun laws in the country.

We have always had racial tensions but they have been worse under Obama. I believe it was the Zimmerman case that started the escalation of the violence towards authority and whites today. The Department of Justice hounded Zimmerman for three years. They investigated him on civil rights charges and concluded there was insufficient evidence and there was no "hate crime."

Zimmerman criticized the government and President Obama. He believed Obama inflamed racial tensions. "He by far overstretched, overreached, even broke the law in certain aspects to where you have an innocent American being prosecuted by the federal government," Zimmerman said. Source:  Wikipedia. “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon,” Obama said.

Media coverage of tragic events

Comment Up

Our legal elite

Comment Up
This morning on the front page of the PB Post is an article on two crooked judges who funneled millions in ill gained money to a Jupiter condo by unfairly sentencing mixed up juveniles to private lockups. Do you remember the days when we looked up to the legal eagles?

Next there is an article mentioning John Page, president of the National Bar Association which is the nation's oldest and largest association of African American lawyers and judges. He and his group are demanding that Gov. Rick Scott have a special session to repeal or amend Florida's Stand Your ground law otherwise he says there will be massive boycotting which will affect our number one industry, tourism. Not only is that one of his threats, but Scott's re-election.

Being that I hate bullies, and the Trayvon Martin case was nothing more than a tragic self-defense case as proved by a Jury, I say
hold your ground, Governor Scott.

Zimmerman assists people in vehicle crash

Ok left wing racist media--George Zimmerman just helped save some lives in a car crash--how are you going to twist this story?  The people were white and that doesn't count?

On Wednesday, July 17 at about 5:45 PM  Sanford Police responded to a single car accident in the area of I- 4 and State Road 46 in Sanford. A blue Ford Explorer SUV  traveled off the road and rolled over. There were four occupants inside the vehicle, two parents and two children.  The deputy reported, when he arrived on the scene that one of the two men there was George Zimmerman. According to Sanford Police Zimmerman had a fire extinguisher and helped assist the family to get them out of the vehicle.

Emotional activists want Stand Your Ground Repealed

The Double standard on the Zimmerman-Martin case:
In another case along very similar lines-- Outrage peddlers are silent because this story doesn’t fit the narrative of racial strife. Al Sharpton can’t Tweet about his photo ops with Jay Z and Beyonce over instances of justice like this. So do Sharpton, NAACP, Piers Morgan, Stevie Wonder, etc, etc, all believe that Roderick Scott is a murderer? That he should have been denied his ability to defend himself? Are they really wanting to reintroduce Reconstruction-era suppression on the ability and right to self defense?

Read more... on the case that doesn't fit the race baiting narrative of Al Sharpton and the boys who just want to continue to hate.

Now we have a big movement in Florida by those outraged by the Zimmerman verdict. People who scream the most get the attention with the liberal press. It doesn't matter that Stand Your Ground had nothing whatsoever to do with the Zimmerman/Martin case. People have the right to defend themselves under the Constitution. That doesn't matter either, not to these people. Jury verdicts don't matter. They want Stand Your Ground repealed.  Governor Rick Scott is standing his ground and says he will not call a special session for all the screamers and race baiters.

Let the voters decide and put it on the ballot. But then, it might turn out just like the last election in Lake Worth. The voters decided but the outcome was denied.

Quote of the Day - Allen West

"Where are they talking about the black-on-black crime we're seeing throughout Chicago and many other inner cities? I think there's a little bit of cherry-picking here for the sake of political purposes, and we need to get away from that."

Playing the Race Card

Comment Up

Ok, students--your assignment for the day is to write the name of the Rev. Martin Luther King on a piece of paper and stomp on it.

Rhonda Swan, another liberal editor of the Palm Beach Post is still condemning Gov. Rick Scott for interjecting his opinion on the Florida Atlantic University class assignment on stomping on the word J-E-S-U-S after he received complaints. She believes that Rick Scott tried to capitalize on the exercise for political posturing. In her eyes, it had nothing to do with the fact that it was highly offensive to the millions of residents in the State of Florida who, through tax dollars, help support and fund Florida Atlantic University.

So, if the shoe was on the other foot, and students stomped on the words Martin Luther King or even Trayvon Martin (another person who Ms.Swan believes was denied his rights because of race), there would be mass rioting across the country.

Sensitivities should work both ways and reporters should not keep tossing around the race card and playing politics at every opportunity. Yes, thanks to black leaders, race took hold in the George Zimmerman trial even though race was not evident by the facts or the testimony.

Scott had every right to have an opinion and inquire about the stomping on JESUS class assignment. FAU allowed a stupid inflammatory exercise to go unchecked. And left, liberal black leaders as well as some left, liberal reporters are keeping the race card flame alive.

Read her editorial here.

Trayvon and the Race Hijacking Radical Left

From the socialist-oriented SEIU union to ACORN to Occupy to a litany of George Soros-funded organizations, the deep connections behind Dream Defenders raises questions about the motivation of an organization that claims to be a grassroots effort working to oppose racism.

Trayvon

Comment Up
Read about the real Trayvon, the one that the liberal media did not want you to know...The media that played the race card when race had nothing to do with it. It was dangerous and divisive reporting trumped up by two ego maniacs, Al and Jessee, with the help of Attorney General Eric Holder and Obama himself.

Nearly 6'2" and 175 lbs, it has been reported that Trayvon had numerous run-ins with authorities both at school and local police and had been stopped and almost arrested two days before his death for smacking a bus driver in the face because the driver refused to let him ride for free.

Thank God, no more Stevie Wonder in Florida

Comment Up

Stevie Wonder says he won't perform again in Florida until the state abolishes its Stand Your Ground gun law, which permits using deadly force against those who pose a risk of killing or seriously injuring someone. Stand Your Ground did not even apply in this case. Sorry, Stevie.

Racists - The Screamers

Racism prevails in America, kept alive by those who toss around the word and scream the loudest...people like Al Sharpton and Jessee Jackson. Terrorists, The New Black Panther Party, already called for the head of Zimmerman. They rallied with Al Sharpton at Mellon Park on March 22nd, 2012, and openly handed out flyers to the crowd. What did the Justice Department do?  You got it--nothing. As Nice Deb says, vigilantism and placing a bounty on someone’s head, is illegal in America. Or it used to be illegal"...On March 23 Obama said "You know, if I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon." Now all the racists are using their political clout to go forward in a civil suit and still screaming and ignoring the jury and the judicial system.

Al Sharpton makes "sharp" remarks and plays "race" card

Al Sharpton, one of the biggest racists around, says that Trayvon's family will pursue a civil case against George Zimmerman and he will be calling on the DOJ to reopen their case in order to conduct a fishing expedition to see if there are any civil rights violations.

The local police department believed Zimmerman had cause and allowed Zimmerman to walk until the "race" card was used by Sharpton and Jessee Jackson. According to the police chief of Sanford, Bill Lee,  The George Zimmerman investigation was hijacked "in a number of ways" by outside forces. The police chief testified Monday in Zimmerman's second-degree murder trial, and told CNN's George Howell in an exclusive interview that he felt pressure from city officials to arrest Zimmerman to placate the public rather than as a matter of justice.

George Zimmerman

Comment Up

For a little bit of trivia, the longest U.S. jury deliberation in a criminal trial--

According to Lawyers Update the longest criminal trial in U.S. history involved three former Oakland, California, police officers known as "the Riders." They were charged with roughing up suspects, planting drugs, and-what else?... a cover-up. The trial took seven months and included 84 witnesses. Jurors had to read a mountainous 122 pages of instructions on 35 counts. They took four months to reach a verdict on eight counts (not guilty) but couldn't reach a verdict on the other 27 counts. The result: partial mistrial.

The George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin jury got the case at about 2:30 p.m. Friday, after 14 days of testimony,  and reached a verdict of Not Guilty around 9:56 pm tonight.

  • Guilty of Manslaughter--up to 30 years in prison
  • Hung Jury

More on Trayvon

Comment Up
A medical report compiled by the family physician of Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman and obtained exclusively by ABC News found that Zimmerman was diagnosed with a "closed fracture" of his nose, a pair of black eyes, two lacerations to the back of his head and a minor back injury the day after he fatally shot Martin during an alleged altercation.
