FBI Captures Fugitive on ‘Most Wanted Fraudsters’ List After 3 Years on the Run

The FBI has captured a notorious fugitive accused of orchestrating a staggering $547 million Medicare fraud scheme after more than three years on the run.

Khalid Satary was arrested in the Middle East carrying a fake Mexican passport before being flown back to the United States to face a sweeping list of federal charges.

“The arrest of Khalid Ahmed Satary and return to the U.S. is the third Most Wanted Fraudster capture from this FBI and our partners in just 5 weeks,” FBI Director Kash Patel said.

Patel said the arrest continued a “historic run of success” for the new initiative.

“This is another subject who exploited a program dedicated to helping our most vulnerable and instead stole for himself,” Patel said.

"A lot of this is being done by foreigners," Gill said at a Republican Study Committee roundtable on Thursday.

"We've got two different issues here, an immigration issue, and the welfare state issue. We're focusing on the latter here on waste, fraud, and abuse. But when you bring in infinity Third Worlders into American society, from low-trust countries, you kind of expect low-trust behavior," Gill continued.

Trump administration freezes another $91 million in Minnesota Medicaid funds over fraud concerns

The Trump administration notified Minnesota on Thursday that it is deferring an additional $91 million in Medicaid funding, citing fresh evidence of fraud vulnerabilities in state-run social service programs, a move that pushes the total amount of frozen federal dollars past $300 million and deepens the standoff between Washington and the state Tim Walz governed until recently.

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz announced the deferral in a video statement, tying it directly to federal raids earlier in the week.

On Tuesday, federal agents searched childcare and learning centers and other sites in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area that receive federal Medicaid funding. Two days later, the freeze landed.

The new deferral sits on top of roughly $243 million that Vice President JD Vance told Walz in February was being temporarily withheld over the same category of concerns. CMS approved Minnesota's corrective action plan in March, yet none of that earlier money has been released. Now the bill has grown.

CMS wants documentation before it releases another dollar.

Oz framed the action as cooperative, not punitive:

"This isn't about punishment, it's about partnership and accountability. We're offering Minnesota the support they need to fix these problems. But at the same time, we cannot and will not pay claims that don't meet federal standards. So we're asking for additional documentation to verify these charges."

Minnesota Attorney General Charges Man In $3 Million Medicaid Fraud

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced felony charges Wednesday against Mohamed Abdirashid Omarxeyd for a massive $3 million Medicaid fraud scheme. The Minneapolis man allegedly used his company, Guardian Home Health Services, to bill for "high-risk" services that were never provided.

Prosecutors say the fraudulent activity occurred between 2020 and 2024. Omarxeyd and his wife are accused of siphoning more than $2 million from company accounts for personal use during that period.

State investigators identified fraudulent claims for personal care, respite care, and community support services. Ellison called the act of defrauding low-income healthcare programs "despicable" in a formal statement.

Omarxeyd is charged with eight counts of felony theft by false representation. He is scheduled to make his first appearance in court on February 3, 2026.

Late Tuesday, the administration unveiled negotiated price cuts for medications treating everything from cancer to diabetes, projecting a staggering $12 billion in savings compared to last year’s spending, with $685 million directly benefiting enrollees’ wallets by 2027, as The Hill reports.

This isn’t just a press release -- it’s a lifeline for millions of seniors struggling with prescription costs, especially for high-ticket items like Ozempic and Wegovy, used by nearly 2.3 million Medicare beneficiaries in 2024.

This negotiation program stems from the Inflation Reduction Act, a Biden administration hallmark now being wielded by Trump’s team to deliver results.

Health officials didn’t shy away from comparing their efforts to the prior administration’s initial round of talks, with CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz declaring, “Using the same process with a bolder direction, we have achieved substantially better outcomes for taxpayers and seniors in the Medicare Part D program.”

Meanwhile, advocacy groups like Patients For Affordable Drugs cheered the move as a win for taxpayers, though they rightly point out the fight against Big Pharma’s legal challenges isn’t over.

The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) estimates that the federal regulatory burden is a hidden tax costing well over $1 trillion.

The $101.4 billion of improper payments made by Medicare and Medicaid in 2023 accounted for 40% of all improper payments across the entire government that year, according to the Government Accountability Office (GAO).

But 75% of spending goes to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, defense, veterans' benefits, and interest payments on the national debt. Those so-called "mandatory" spending programs constitute the majority of federal spending and most of the expected spending growth in the coming years. Achieving the substantial $2 trillion in savings our nation urgently needs, we must address the primary driver of federal debt: unchecked mandatory spending.

The executive branch has very limited authority with respect to spending. While there is tremendous waste and dysfunction within the federal budget, the largest problem is the government doing too many things it shouldn't and subsidizing nearly everything under the sun. Congress has primary responsibility for the size, scope, and spending of the federal government.

Large-scale federal government reform is not under the executive control. DOGE must also put together a package of budget cuts for Congress to work on. DOGE must also focus on government subsidies to private businesses and look at wasteful grant programs delivering billions of dollars to state governments.

Antonio Gracias said around 1.3 million non-citizens are currently claiming Medicaid, at an estimated cost of around $6.5 billion.

The stark revelation came after Gracias and his team began probing the huge uptick in non-citizens who were assigned Social Security numbers last year.

The figure leapt from 400,000 in 2021, to more than two million in 2024. Among those are non-citizens who have entered the US legally on visas and green cards and who pay into the US tax system.

The Biden Administration and California Governor Gavin Newsom have just taken a bold move that flies in the face of the legacy of Robin Hood: tax the working and middle-class to fund the healthcare of the wealthy.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services recently authorized California’s request to dissolve the asset verification requirement of its Medicaid Program (known as Medi-Cal). This would expand Medi-Cal eligibility to wealthier Californians since it no longer requires a person to prove they are poor or of modest means.

The Social Security Act of 1940 states that Medicaid’s eligibility guidelines must include verification of assets, income, and employment status. But, due to the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic, emergency measures were taken and Medicaid enrollment grew without proper eligibility verification.

At least 50% of California’s Medicaid Program (Medi-Cal) is funded by the Federal Medical Assistance Program. So, if California waives the asset verification requirement, then Americans who are not from California will be paying for the healthcare of California’s wealthy.

This gimmick opens it up for other states to follow. Let's just grow our national debt--it's what Democrats do best.

Mental disorders are common in the United States and internationally. About one in four adults or 26.2 percent of Americans ages 18 and older have a diagnosable mental disorder in a given year. According to the Los Angeles Times, one in five adults in the U.S. had a mental illness in 2010, with people ages 18 to 25 having the highest rates, according to a national survey.

Now Medicare is going to cover more of the costs for Senior Mental Health. Seniors experience depression over illness and death and I would think that is a normal occurrence and certainly not rare. Nothing was said about the most prevalent ages of 18 to 25 who need the most help and the most likely group to commit crimes.

Americans living beyond our means

American citizens and our government owe more money collectively than ever before in our country’s history: $17 trillion at the federal level, $13 trillion of mortgages, another $1 trillion in student loans and $3 trillion to $4 trillion in state and local government debt. This is $60 plus trillion in obligations — tragically almost four years of our country’s total output and production.
We Americans are now living in a country that is really coming apart at the seams, financially, morally, culturally and spiritually. Why? Sadly because we all have become addicted to living way beyond our means.

“The Big Lie” is that we can afford these debts — and has become one of this administration’s biggest national goals. Our obsession with the Fed policy of quantitative easing is another example that confirms we’re more concerned with maintaining this lie than actually reversing course and building a better and lasting economy.
Taxes will have to go up — fewer Americans will be forced to support those on disability, food stamps, Social Security, Medicare, etc. The politicians are promising more — and we, the taxpayer, will be on the hook to pay these looming bills.

Sooner or later the consequences of “The Big Lie” will fall upon we the taxpayers, a harsh and dire reality that will force Americans to pay more to support a bigger and more oppressive government.
