Zohran Mamdani’s Lavish Uganda Wedding Bash Just Demolished His Anti-Police Credibility Forever

The Queens assemblyman who called the NYPD "wicked and corrupt" apparently has no problem with security forces when they’re protecting his own privileged lifestyle.

Mamdani celebrated his recent marriage with a lavish three-day bash at his family’s secluded compound in Uganda’s wealthiest neighborhood, complete with more than 20 special forces commandos, cellphone jammers, and military-style tents.

So while ordinary New Yorkers worry about subway crime and neighborhood safety, their would-be mayor was partying behind multiple security gates guarded by masked commandos.

One witness described the security measures as unprecedented for a private celebration.

"Outside the Mamdani house were more than 20 special forces command unit guards, some in masks, and there was a phone-jamming system set up – and all for the strictly invite-only Mamdani event," the source told reporters.

Nine guards were stationed at just one gate alone.

Johnston announced a $45 million package for immigrants this year, including $8 million slashed from the police department’s budget.

The funds will add to the $44 million already set aside for new arrivals to the Colorado capital, which saw its migrant expenses jump from $2 million in August to $15 million in December.

The Mayor said his own office will endure a 10% cut, but other public services must also tighten their belts. The fire department, for example, is set to lose $2.5 million.

The mayor wants to treat "newcomers" with dignity. Call them what they are--ILLEGALS who now will be treated better than poor American citizens.

Oakland is so bad that the NAACP recently called for a state of emergency to be declared over the city’s “intolerable public safety crisis” citing “failed leadership including the movement to defund the police.”

A video has surfaced of the Democratic nominee for Governor of Florida, Charlie Crist, advocating for defunding the police in an interview with a Nation of Islam member.

The interview occurred when Crist was a Congressman in 2021.

The interviewer was Brother John Muhammad, who joined the Nation of Islam in 1997. Muhammad is a community organizer, and the Executive Director of a left-wing nonprofit out of Florida called the Community Development and Training Center Inc.

In the interview, Muhammad asked Crist about the “reallocation of resources” from police into a “program” that supports other methods of public safety.” He gave the example of a program dispatching mental health and social workers instead of uniform officers for those calls.

A Tallahassee circuit judge is letting a lawsuit against the “defund the police” provision in Florida’s anti-riot law move forward. Judge J. Lee Marsh of the 2nd Judicial Circuit on Tuesday allowed five of the eight cities that sued the state to continue their challenge against a provision that creates a pathway for the state to overrule a city’s decision to reduce its law enforcement budget. The three remaining cities will have an opportunity to appeal to be added to the case.

Gainesville, Lake Worth Beach, Lauderhill, Miramar, North Miami, North Miami Beach, Tallahassee and Wilton Manors sued DeSantis, Attorney General Ashley Moody and the state Administration Commission over the law, which the Legislature passed at the Republican Governor’s behest.

Marsh dismissed the case against Moody and determined that Lake Worth, North Miami and North Miami Beach had only expressed a “generalized chilling fear” and did not face a threat of harm.

Two Minneapolis City Council Members, vocal advocates for defunding the Minneapolis Police Department, were ousted from their chairs. Two other defund the police council members managed to win in their districts, but in closer-than-expected final outcomes.

However, Minneapolis voters handed down an even more emphatic outcome. Overwhelming, voters hammered down a council proposal to “redefine policing.” A proposed charter amendment wanted to erase the city’s police department and replace it with a “public safety agency.”

Minneapolis voted 57 percent to 43 percent with 94 percent reporting to keep the police department in place, despite some nationwide calls among protesters that larger police departments should be defunded.

So, wouldn't you know that the SPLC asked to present (or some commissioner put it on the agenda) and has hit Lake Worth Beach with it's Democrat commission on defunding the police under the guise its all about Home Rule. On September 9, the Commission will have a presentation by Paul Chavez, attorney at the Southern Poverty Law Center who wants cities to challenge Section 1 of HB1.

Critics of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) say the organization has become extreme and “thoroughly disgraced,” after the center released its 2020 “census of hate groups,” which included numerous pro-life and family organizations. Some believe the SPLC is a "hate" group.

Now they are taking a stand that cities CAN defund the police!

Antonio Brown, a member of the City Council, had stepped out of his Mercedes to speak with another community leader when his automobile was stolen by a gang of children, at least one of whom was as young as 6 or 7.

According to The Independent, the incident has not impacted the councilman’s attitude about police.
