TIFF Cancels Oct. 7 Documentary Over Hamas Copyright

A new documentary about the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel by Hamas has been booted from the Toronto International Film Festival — because organizers insist the filmmakers need the rights from the terrorist group to use their horrific footage of the massacre.

The festival claims the movie, called “The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue,” did not meet certain requirements to screen at the prestigious September event, widely attended by Hollywood stars and bigwigs, including not securing so-called “legal clearance” to use Hamas’ livestreamed video of the rape, murder and kidnapping of Jews.

The stunned filmmakers, including Canadian director Barry Avrich, slammed the decision, telling Deadline that TIFF has “defied its mission and censored its own programming by refusing this film.”

“The Road Between Us” tells the story of retired Israel Defense Forces General Noam Tibon, who set out to save his family and others during Hamas’ deadly attack, in which 1,200 people were killed and 251 were taken hostage.

It includes widely seen videos taken by the terrorists of their murders of Israelis at the Nova music festival and in nearby communities.

While TIFF alleges they required permission from Hamas to use the footage, the documentary’s line producer, Talia Harris Ram, told the Times of Israel that their rationale was ridiculous.

New Video Busts George Floyd Narrative WIDE OPEN

In the wake of George Floyd’s death in 2020, America was swept up in a wave of protests and riots in what is now referred to as the “Summer of Love.” However, a crowdfunded documentary titled “The Fall of Minneapolis,” produced by Liz Collin, seeks to challenge the narrative that has been fed to the public.

The documentary uncovers shocking allegations of injustices and manipulation of facts during Derek Chauvin’s trial. It delves into the controversial aspects of the case, including false testimony, withheld bodycam footage, and an altered autopsy report.

According to the film, the original autopsy report by Hennepin County Medical Examiner Dr. Andrew Baker did not find evidence of asphyxiation or strangulation. Instead, toxicology tests showed that Floyd had a “fatal level of fentanyl” in his system. Despite this, the official autopsy report was later modified to attribute Floyd’s death to actions taken by law enforcement.

Mike Rowe Says Feds Revoked His Filming Permit

Received Call Claiming It Was Pulled For His ‘Personal Politics’

In a lengthy message posted Monday on Facebook, Rowe explained why he didn’t appear at the job site this week as scheduled to shoot an episode highlighting a woman-owned company in the boilermaker trade. Rowe said that to his both surprise and disappointment the shoot was canceled “at the last minute” when the GSA “suddenly revoked our permit.”

“I just wanted to assure you guys that this decision had nothing to do with me, Discovery, or my production team,” Rowe wrote. “This decision was made solely by the GSA, who oversees the location where you are currently working, and required us to apply for a permit months ago. Obviously, we did. The necessary permits were quickly issued, and we were assured several times over the last few months that everything was still good to go.”

Gary Webb, Pulitzer Prize winner and investigative reporter for the San Jose Mercury News, was maligned and discredited by the CIA (the very people he was investigating), other government officials and eventually he was sold out by his colleagues. The San Jose Mercury News published "Dark Alliance," a 20,000 word, three-part investigative series which alleged that Nicaraguan drug traffickers had sold and distributed crack cocaine in Los Angeles during the 1980s, and that drug profits were used to fund the CIA-supported Nicaraguan Contras.

In 1998, Webb was vindicated by a CIA Inspector General report. It revealed that for more than a decade the agency had covered up a business relationship it had with Nicaraguan drug dealers. The Associated Press finally came clean and admitted that they worked over-time to bring Gary Webb down; it was jealousy. Later he was vindicated by the Department of Justice.  Webb, however, never could get hired as an investigative journalist again, the only profession that he loved. With no way to pay his bills, this Pulitzer Prize winning journalist  killed himself in 2004 with two bullet holes to his head.

What happened to Gary Webb was on a big scale and a character assassination played on the big boys ball park but it is happening throughout our country in towns and cities across the country by people exposing the ills of local governments...bringing down the messenger. Don't miss this movie. Jeremy Renner has another award winning performance. To me, this is the best movie of the year.

Filmmaker Dave Janetta and his latest intriquing film

A documentary film by my 2nd cousin, Dave Janetta. One review says, "The center of intrigue is where a well liked professor disappeared one night. Months later his scorched corpse was found bound to a tree on the outskirts of town past a very dense pathway. That mystery is the primary hook.
