Iranian War - High Risk for Trump

For Trump, Iranian war comes down to economic and political consequences

The regime in Tehran continues to defy Trump as the Supreme Leader declared on Thursday that the Islamic Republic will protect its "nuclear and missile capabilities" as a national asset, reports Associated Press.

A written statement attributed to Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei was read by a state television anchor. It struck a defiant tone, insisting the only place Americans belong in the Persian Gulf is "at the bottom of its waters."

His remarks come as Iran's oil industry is being squeezed by a U.S. Navy blockade halting its oil tankers from getting out to sea. Brent Crude, which serves as the benchmark for oil pricing globally, also reached $126 a barrel on Thursday but had dropped to $108 on Friday.

The U.S. and Iran’s opposite stance regarding Iran’s nuclear capabilities along with the increased pressure on the world economy are factors for Trump to consider going forward.

Robert Maginnis is president of Maginnis Strategies, LLC. He says it's about the cost of oil.

"The politics of this are closing in on the Trump administration. They've got to finish this off sooner rather than later. They have to have the economy stimulated. They have to have energy prices down,” says Maginnis. “We only have a short period of time before we have to pull out because the Democrats are going to take advantage of Trump's vulnerability on Iran."

Dave Portnoy tells Gen Z Democrats the facts

Portnoy eviscerates college kids pushing socialism

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy didn’t mince words when Fox Business host Stuart Varney asked him about young progressives embracing socialism and candidates like Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and New York City mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani.

"It makes me want to puke," Portnoy told Varney during his Monday appearance on the network.

The sports media mogul had just watched a clip of Gen Z Democrats extolling the virtues of socialism, with one young voter declaring "I think more politicians should be adopting socialism."

"These are college kids. They’ve never had probably had a job in their lives. They’ve grown up probably coddled, reading books about how the world is, but they’ve never been in the real world. I don’t like any government where [it has] disincentivized initiative [or] working hard, and that’s what socialism does," Portnoy explained.

"I’m all for taking care of people and giving back," he explained. "But you know what entrepreneurs do? They create jobs, they create livings, they create wages. I just fundamentally [believe] socialism doesn’t work. There are plenty of examples…"

Young socialists live in this weird bubble where they think government can just wave a magic wand and create prosperity without anyone actually having to work for it.

They don’t understand the basic economic reality that someone has to create wealth before politicians can redistribute it...says Mamdani is scary.

Trump announces Interim Federal Reserve Board Appointee

Trump Fill Massive Vacancy, Shocks Fed with Harvard Genius Pick

In a bold move that further solidifies his commitment to sound economic policy, President Donald J. Trump announced the appointment of Dr. Stephen Miran to the Federal Reserve Board, filling the vacancy left by the resignation of Biden-appointed Governor Adriana Kugler.

The liberal media, always eager to undermine President Trump’s successes, will no doubt scramble to downplay this exceptional pick—but the facts speak for themselves. Dr. Miran, a Harvard-educated economist and current Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors, brings unparalleled expertise and a proven track record of excellence from his service in both the Trump administration’s first and second terms.

President Trump made the announcement on Truth Social, stating:
“It is my Great Honor to announce that I have chosen Dr. Stephen Miran, current Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors, to serve in the just vacated seat on the Federal Reserve Board until January 31, 2026. In the meantime, we will continue to search for a permanent replacement.

Stephen has a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University, and served with distinction in my First Administration. He has been with me from the beginning of my Second Term, and his expertise in the World of Economics is unparalleled — He will do an outstanding job. Congratulations Stephen!”
