President ‌Donald Trump said on Saturday that Canada was keen to reach a trade deal ‌with the United ​States and that an agreement could ⁠come "fairly soon," while repeating ​complaints that Canada had treated ⁠U.S. farmers unfairly and should remove tariffs.

"Canada wants to ‌make a ​deal very badly," ‌Trump said while answering questions ‌from media after a meeting with Irish Prime Minister ⁠Micheal Martin ‌in ⁠Dublin.

"Canada has to treat ⁠our ⁠farmers better. They can't charge our ‌farmers tariffs," Trump said, adding, "You'll probably see a deal ‌with ​Canada ‌fairly soon."

President Trump Friday announced on Truth Social that the U.S. has entered an agreement with Venezuela to secure American control of more than 67 billion barrels of oil in that nation – "at no cost to the American taxpayer."

Trump said both Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth worked with Veneuzelan Interim President Delcy Rodriguez on the deal.

While the president mentioned the involvement of "private business," he did not specific which companies specifically.

Trump: Saudi Nuclear Deal Tied to Accords

President Donald Trump said Thursday that the civilian nuclear cooperation agreement between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia is "totally subject" to the kingdom joining the Abraham Accords.

In a Truth Social post, Trump emphasized that the agreement is strictly for peaceful nuclear energy and ruled out uranium enrichment under the U.S.-Saudi arrangement.

"The Civil Nuclear Deal (There will be no enrichment of material!) being made between the United States Department of Energy and Saudi Arabia, which pertains only to non-military use such as the ones that Iran and UAE (and others) already have, will be approved, but is totally subject to Saudi Arabia joining the very respected and successful Abraham Accords," Trump wrote.

"The United States is not opposed to Civil (Non-Enriched) Nuclear Facilities."

Hormuz traffic status disintegrates when Iran rejects port blockade

Just a day after President Donald Trump and Iran officials both announced that traffic was resuming through the Strait of Hormuz, a key path that carries some 20% of the world's oil supplies, Iran has reversed course.
