Well, they think we need another coffee shop. I would like to see Halsey & Griffith back.

Peace Initiative Day - Some would rather stir the pot

Comment Up

Pastor Mike Olive of the Common Ground Church reached out to Wes and Mark in a gesture of friendship and love as well as to be a compassionate listener. They were invited to come over to his coffee shop yesterday which was Peace Day. But they were both "no shows."

A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control. (Proverbs 29:11, NIV)

James 1:19-20: "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires." (NIV)

I guess Pastor Mike's invited guests did not want to hear those messages.

Consuming Coffee might prevent dementia?

Comment Up

Earlier in the week there was a report in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease that a research team at the University of Bari Aldo Moro found that people who consistently drank about one or two cups of coffee per day had a lower rate of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) than those who never or rarely drank the brew.

The first thing that I do after awakening is to put on a pot of coffee. So, if this is true, I'm going to go on forever being a watchdog in Lake Worth. :)
