WH: Trump 'Never in Danger' During Marine One Incident

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating an air traffic safety incident involving Marine One after commercial flights at a D.C. airport were reportedly not halted before President Donald Trump's helicopter departed the White House on Tuesday.

The White House emphasized the president was never at risk. "Marine One flights are piloted by some of the best aviators in the world, and at no point was the president in harm's way," White House spokesman Kush Desai told The Hill.

The incident occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. EDT as Trump traveled aboard Marine One to Joint Base Andrews to board Air Force One for a trip to California. According to reports, the presidential helicopter came within about a mile of an Envoy Air regional jet departing Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport for Pensacola, Florida.

The FAA said there was a "momentary loss of separation" between the aircraft but stressed the situation did not appear to be a dangerous close call. "The air traffic controller was in contact with both the commercial pilot and Marine One pilot during the loss of separation.

As the White House has said, the president was never in danger," an FAA spokesman said.

A federal employee tasked with helping keep America’s skies safe is reportedly now at the center of a troubling case involving alleged threats against Donald Trump, underscoring growing tensions at home as conflict abroad continues to weigh heavily on some Americans.

According to the U.S. attorney’s office in Concord, New Hampshire, 35-year-old Dean DelleChiaie, an employee of the Federal Aviation Administration, was arrested Monday after authorities said he threatened to kill the president.

Officials say the alleged threats were tied in part to DelleChiaie’s anger over the war against Iran, highlighting how foreign policy decisions can ripple back domestically in unpredictable and dangerous ways.

The case began when DelleChiaie reportedly used his government-issued work computer in late January to conduct a series of alarming internet searches. According to an affidavit.

Those searches included phrases such as how to bring a weapon into a federal building, past assassination attempts against the president, and even a direct statement reading “I am going to kill Donald John Trump.” He also looked up the home locations of Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

FAA extends Mar-a-Lago flight restrictions until December 2026 amid Palm Beach County lawsuit

In a move with major implications for pilots, Palm Beach County and the ongoing legal battle over airspace — the Federal Aviation Administration has issued a new letter that formally resets and extends flight restrictions around Mar-a-Lago for another full year, effective Dec. 10, 2025.

The letter, sent Wednesday by Palm Beach Air Traffic Manager Mark Siviglia and obtained by WPTV’s Michael Hoffman, outlines a set of temporary flight restriction-driven procedural amendments for Palm Beach International Airport (PBI).

While many of the operating limits were already in place under the year-round flight restriction activated on Oct. 20, this letter establishes a new one-year timeframe—now stretching to Dec. 10, 2026.

This directly contradicts earlier understanding that the restrictions would expire one year from their October activation. Instead, the FAA’s new directive effectively “resets the clock” as of Dec. 10.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the FAA’s new letter is viewed internally as a direct response to Palm Beach County’s decision to move forward with litigation against both the FAA and the U.S. Secret Service, regarding the impact of the Mar-a-Lago flight restrictions on airport operations and local businesses.

The issuance of the letter appears to formalize the procedures while the case proceeds.

DHS, FBI Say ‘No Evidence’ Suggests Drone Sightings Pose National Security Threat

Since mid-November, large aerial drones have been spotted at night throughout central and northern New Jersey

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) issued a joint statement on Thursday suggesting that the drone sightings in areas like New Jersey do not pose a national security threat based on current evidence.

“We have no evidence at this time that the reported drone sightings pose a national security or public safety threat or have a foreign nexus,” the statement said.

The two organizations said that they will be working closely with local and state police to “confirm whether the reported drone flights are actually drones or are instead manned aircraft or otherwise inaccurate sightings.”

The statement further noted that some drone sightings in the past have been cases of mistaken identity or may have been manned aircraft. As Breitbart News reported on Thursday, the Pentagon denied claims that alleged drone sightings over areas like New Jersey are foreign-controlled while also denying they are controlled by the U.S. military.

“The Pentagon has stated that the mystery drones flying over parts of New Jersey and the northeast U.S. in recent weeks are not controlled by the U.S. military but also not believed to be controlled by foreign entities,” noted the report. “Despite these claims, the Pentagon can’t say just who actually is in control of the drones causing havoc and concern along the Atlantic coast.”

I find it incredulous that DHS, FAA and the FBI are clueless. Any drone in the U.S. weighing more than 0.55 pounds must be registered with the FAA and can be easily tracked with GPS technology. Nearly 800,000 drones are registered in the U.S., according to the FAA. These drones are reportedly as large as a car.

Biden’s FAA Nominee Can’t Answer a Single Question About Aviation

Obama has said that Joe Biden never made one good foreign decision. He can't make one good domestic decision either.

Phil Washington, President Joe Biden’s nominee to serve as administrator of the FAA, continues to face questions about his qualifications to serve in the role, and his testimony before Congress isn’t dispelling doubts about his ability to run America’s civil aviation system and keep its citizens safe when they fly.

Already, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has raised concerns about Washington’s experience and resume, suggesting President Biden is “playing politics” rather than prioritizing the safety and efficiency of America’s air transportation system.

Washington’s previous gigs have also seen accusations of wasteful spending and mismanagement of resources, as Townhall reported previously. And, while he served honorably in the military, lawmakers pointed out that Washington has no experience or qualifications related to aviation safety.

He couldn't answer any basic questions. It's about equity or something.

Three navigation points above the skies of Palm Beach County will no longer be named in honor of Donald Trump, the Federal Aviation Administration said Thursday. They will be renaming them to take effect in about three months.

Trump said, “‘Making America Great Again’ is far more important to me than an honor I never knew I had ... meaning a blip on the radar.”
