James Talarico

Talarico Isn’t Interpreting Scripture – He’s Rewriting It

Alexander Muse writes: "Political parties often choose candidates the way marketers choose packaging. The product must look familiar before voters examine what is inside.

Consider a simple analogy. A grocery store sells two jars that both say honey on the label. One jar contains honey. The other contains corn syrup flavored to resemble honey. From a distance, they look identical. Only when the buyer reads the label closely does the difference appear.

I believe Texas Democrats applied the same logic when selecting their U.S. Senate candidate. They chose James Talarico, a clean-cut white preacher who openly claims to be a Christian. The strategy is easy to see.

Texas is a deeply Christian state. Roughly two-thirds of Texans identify as Christian. White evangelicals alone represent roughly a quarter of the electorate and voted nearly 90% for President Trump in 2024. If Democrats want to compete statewide, they must at least appear comfortable speaking the language of faith.

But packaging does not determine substance. The real question is whether the theology being presented corresponds to historic Christianity as most Texas Christians understand it.

Christians disagree about many things. Baptists disagree with Catholics. Pentecostals disagree with Presbyterians. Yet beneath these disagreements lies a shared structure of belief. Scripture carries authority. Sin and repentance matter. Salvation comes through Christ. Moral teachings about life and the human body follow from these foundations.

My argument is straightforward. James Talarico departs from this shared structure. The problem is not merely that he interprets the Bible differently. The problem is that he changes the rules of interpretation themselves.

But Democrats are good at that.

Mamdani prays at Al-Khoei Mosque that calls for beheading of Christians

'Brazen, murderous hatred'

Islamic New York City mayor attends prayers at mosque where imam calls for beheading of Christians

Mosque leader calls for 'the relief for the believers and the killing of the infidels by your sword'

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has made no secret of his pro-Islam agenda points.

In the few weeks he's been in office, Muslim calls to prayer now are being broadcast onto public streets there, and one of his prominent supporters demanded that the city ban dogs inside homes, as Muslims consider dogs unclean.

Now Mamdani has pulled back the curtain of moderation that may have concealed his goals before now: He's attended a mosque where the imam prayed for the return of the Islamic mahdi so that infidels could be beheaded.

Muslims block Christian pastor from Public chapel

All are welcome'? Islamists tell Christian pastor to go away after airport invites him to public chapel

A Christian pastor who was invited to a publicly funded prayer chapel at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport has confirmed he went there, but was told to go away.

It's because Islamists had taken over the facility and were allowing no one else to use the tax-paid room. The Southern Baptist pastor, Tom Ascol, "was denied entry to a taxpayer-funded chapel during Muslim prayers."

The airport now is "under scrutiny" for the incident involving Ascol, who had traveled to the state to visit the grieving family of his close friend, Voddie Baugham, a widely respected pastor who died at 56 last week following a medical emergency.

"The incident has reignited concerns about the growing trend of Islamic dominance over shared public and religious spaces in Texas," the report said.

Ascol explained on social media he was awaiting a flight when he heard an airport announcement inviting passengers to a "prayer service" at the Meadows Chapel. The announcement said, "All are welcome."

Instead, he was refused access because of an "imam-led salah."

Task Force to Eradicate Anti‑Christian Bias releases preliminary Report

DOJ Report Details Biden-Era Anti-Christian Attacks

A task force created by President Donald Trump has revealed countless examples of apparent government weaponization against Christians and other faithful Americans during the Biden administration years.

The Task Force to Eradicate Anti‑Christian Bias — which was created through an executive order and is chaired by Attorney General Pam Bondi — concluded in a preliminary report that during the Biden era, there were “numerous instances of anti-Christian bias.”

The report details the incidents, which came from a number of government entities, as outlined by Fox News.

The Department of Defense, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Department of Labor, for example, mishandled or denied requests for religious exemptions to the Biden COVID shot mandate.

Notably, the Biden administration stood by the mandate until it was blocked by the U.S. Supreme Court following a Daily Wire legal challenge.

Ilhan Omar caught smiling outside where the massacre took place

Ilhan Omar Smiles at Catholic Church Shooting Site While Democrats Push Gun Control

The nation is still reeling after the horrific shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church and School in Minneapolis, where two children were killed and 17 others injured.

The gunman, Robin Westman, a transgender biological male, reportedly left behind writings expressing regret over his gender reassignment and hatred for both Catholics and President Donald Trump. It was a tragedy that should have united leaders in grief and solidarity with the victims. Instead, a viral photo of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) smiling at the scene has ignited a firestorm of criticism.

Omar represents the very district where the massacre took place. She arrived at the site, made brief comments about the “unspeakable horror,” and praised investigators.

Yet the viral image — Omar laughing casually with someone outside the church where children had been gunned down in prayer — struck a nerve. For many Americans, this wasn’t just a bad photo-op. It was a glimpse into how detached and cynical some politicians really are.

Conservative Churches can give guidance on Electoral Politics

Conservative Churches Win Massive Concession In Court Case Against IRS

Churches can speak about candidates from the pulpit without risking their nonprofit status, the IRS said in a court filing on Monday.

The IRS reached the agreement to resolve a lawsuit brought by two Christian nonprofits, the National Religious Broadcasters and Intercessors for America, and two Texas churches.

Communicating with congregants about candidates is more like a “family discussion concerning candidates” than participating in a campaign or seeking to change the outcome of an election, the IRS said in a joint filing with the organizations.

Though the initial lawsuit challenged the constitutionality of the entire Johnson Amendment, which prevents churches and charities from participating in political campaign activity, the proposed consent decree would interpret the provision “so that it does not reach communications from a house of worship to its congregation in connection with religious services through its usual channels of communication on matters of faith.”

FBI and Southern Poverty Law Center

How bad things were at the FBI

It’s not pretty

You may remember that in February 2023, the FBI rushed to rescind a memo it had issued on “radical traditional Catholics.” The FBI rarely comments on news, but this memo was so bad, headquarters deigned to tell lowly members of the press that the memo failed to meet the bureau’s “standards.”

Why? Because it relied on the Southern Poverty Law Center, a corrupt far-left smear factory that engages in routine defamation by putting conservative, Christian, and even certain gay and lesbian organizations on a “hate map” along with chapters of the Ku Klux Klan.

Yes, the SPLC has even branded Gays Against Groomers—a group of lesbian, bisexual, and gay people who disagree with the SPLC’s transgender agenda—on the “hate map” as an “anti-LGBTQ+ hate group.” That’s how extreme the SPLC is.

Yet, when 1,000 FBI employees received the notorious memo citing the SPLC as an authority on “radical traditional Catholics,” most didn’t even blink.

Attack on Christian Prayer Event in Seattle

FBI launches investigation into violent disruption of Christian prayer event in Seattle

A Mayday USA Christian prayer event in Seattle’s Cal Anderson Park was violently disrupted by counter-protesters, leading to over 30 arrests and injuries to both attendees and police.

Democrat Mayor Bruce Harrell faced backlash for blaming the peaceful worshipers and launching his own probe into the event’s permit, while left-wing groups accused police of inciting the violence.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced a federal investigation under Director Kash Patel into alleged targeted attacks on Christians, framing it as a First Amendment protection effort.

Mayday USA’s event drew hundreds of members of Antifa and other left-wing activists to counter the prayer event. Violence broke out when Antifa and others began to attack the Christians at the event.

“Today’s far-right rally was held here for this very reason – to provoke a reaction by promoting beliefs that are inherently opposed to our city’s values in the heart of Seattle’s most prominent LGBTQ+ neighborhood,” Mayor Harrell said.

It seems that violence only is initiated by Left-wingers. Seattle and Tacoma rank among the least safe major cities in the U.S., according to a study by WalletHub. Seattle is the 5th most liberal city in the United States as of May 1, 2025.

Using the word "Bible" is prohibited

'Series of attacks on Christians': Apartment complex bans using the word 'Bible'

Managers (must be Democrats) of a seniors apartment complex decided to ban the word "Bible" in their community room announcements, which cover a wide range of topics of interest to residents.

Have you ever heard of anything so absurd in your life? And now they're getting questioned by a religious rights legal team at the American Center for Law and Justice.

The ACLJ has announced it has sent a demand letter to the complex in North Carolina over a decision by managers to violate the religious liberties of a resident.

The applicable law, the ACLJ revealed, is the Fair Housing Act.

Christians, the Light of the World

The Resurrection of Jesus Is the Most Important Event in History

Chistians around the world will commemorate the most important event in our faith’s history today, but the Resurrection of Jesus isn’t just important to those who believe a Nazarene who walked the earth 2,000 years ago is the Son of God.

The secular world’s history also turns on this pivotal event, which inspired so much progress that we take for granted today.

Christianity turned the values of the Pagan Roman world upside-down. The Romans considered the early Christians subversives—many called them “atheists” because they didn’t worship any pagan gods—and put them to death for refusing to worship the emperor.

After some emperors adopted the faith, Emperor Julian attempted to revive paganism, but lamented that the Christian ethic had transformed the empire.

Christianity historically has been the driving force behind limited government, science, capitalism, the abolition of slavery, medicine, organized charities, and more—and that Christianity would have been impossible without the belief in the Resurrection.

Rob Reiner creating a common enemy--"Christian Nationalism"

Rob Reiner remains the biggest fundraiser for Biden in Hollywood

Rob Reiner: ‘Conservatives Are Going to Hell, You Are The Opposite of Jesus’ Teachings’

In the Newsweek interview to promote his new film, Reiner also blamed “Christian nationalism” for the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill.

To make it clear...Rob Reiner is Jewish. How did he become an authority on Jesus?

Breitbart report: “Christian nationalism” has quickly emerged as the left’s favorite new buzzword to scare its voter base into submission, with Democrat strategists and influencers trying to make it ubiquitous on the airwaves and social media.

The term refers to conservative Christians who are politically active and are organized around key issues, like abortion and support for former President Donald Trump.

Democrats have stepped up their “Christian nationalism” hysteria in recent months as young, anti-Israel progressives grow increasingly alienated from the Biden administration over the war between Israel and Hamas.

Rob Reiner hates all things/people who are Christian, all MAGA supporters, DONALD TRUMP WITH A PASSION, and is just an overall hater. He gets off on hating. He says that Jesus was about peace and love but he is the biggest hater around. Follow him on X to understand what I mean.

Spiritual War between Good and Evil

Democrat prays to 'sexy satanic baphomet goat altar'

FRC chief warns it's 'sign of the times' for party to 'embrace' the demonic

Family Research Council chief Tony Perkins told The Stand it was a "sign of the times" for the Democrats literally to "embrace" demonic idols. "Evil has become emboldened as Christians have retreated in the face of cultural hostility to truth," he said. What an ass.

A Democrat staff member in blue state Michigan posted, then quickly deleted, an image in which she is kissing a "sexy satanic" goat image at the Michigan state Capitol.

But as the Libs of TikTok investigative team noted, the internet is forever.

The greatest nation on earth is in the throes of a full-blown spiritual war between good and evil.

The "Christian" Pastor who hates Gays

Texas Pastor Calls For Execution Of LGBTA+ Individuals

A Texas pastor whose church has been labeled a hate group delivered a sermon calling for the government execution of LGBTQ+ individuals, and it’s not the first time he’s called for violence.

In his sermon entitled, Why We Won’t Shut Up, Dillon Awes of the Stedfast Baptist Church in Hurst claims gay men are predatory pedophiles who have either committed sex crimes against a child or just haven’t had the opportunity to do so yet, therefore “We need to put these people to death through the proper channels of the government.”

I married into a southern Baptist family the first time around...it was a real experience. I can certainly understand why the gay community is against many religions, one of which is Christianity as all it takes is one evil nut job to turn gays off to all Christians.

As one person said, This "pastor" talks about the Law demanding death for certain sins, but he leads his church into a sin worthy of death by violating the 4th Commandment (Exod. 35:2)!

Ilhan Omar's Easter message?

Video has more than 32 million views

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar recently tweeted a response to a video of Christians singing a worship song on a plane. She said: "I think my family and I should have a prayer session next time I am on a plane. How do you think it will end?" Rep. Omar thus implies that Muslim-Americans do not enjoy the same privileges and freedoms as Christians, and that she and her family may be attacked for praying on a plane.

"Woke" Salvation Army has a False Opinion on Whites and Racism

Salvation Army Issues Insane Demand For Certain Donors

If you're White, you suck in the eyes of the Salvation Army. When I see that red kettle this year, it will be very easy to just walk by.

"The charity has taken to asking all of its white donors to take more steps than just give their spare change to the iconic red kettles when they visit their local shopping centers this time around. Leaders of the charity have demanded that whites need to apologize for their inherent racism.

The release makes the claim that all of Christianity is inherently racist and makes the demand for all white Christians to repent and give “a sincere apology” to black people for being “antagonistic… to black people or the culture, values and interests of the black community.”

Read about the insanity You have to wonder where all these racist nut jobs come from.

"Critical Race Theory is Demonic Ideology"

Famed Theologian Points to ‘Demonic Ideology’ Behind BLM

Dr. Voddie T. Bauchman, who just happens to be black, didn’t hold back when he described BLM’s teachings of critical race theory as a “demonic ideology.”

"Christians believe that there is more going on than what the eye can see but instead there is a spiritual side that plays a part in the destruction that is being seen in the United States. Bauchman points to demonic influence and a spiritual war happening in terms of critical race theory and its growing influence in the US."

Happy Sunday

Joe Biden calls for Christians to be added to terror watch list for opposing LGBT abuse of children

(Natural News) Former Vice President Joe Biden – who will never be elected president, by the way – has a message for American Christians: If you don’t defect from your faith and embrace leftism, then you’re going to be added to the government’s terror watch list.

This is what Biden promised during a recent CNN “town hall” event as he decried believers in Jesus Christ for opposing the radical LGBTQ agenda.
