Newsmax sues Fox Corp

Newsmax Sues Fox News for Allegedly Abusing Monopoly Power

Newsmax filed a lawsuit Wednesday accusing conservative media giant Fox News of acting as a monopoly and suppressing its right-leaning competitors.

“Fox has sought to protect and expand its monopoly power in the Right-leaning Pay TV News Market by engaging in a suite of anticompetitive behaviors,” attorneys for the outlet wrote in the suit in federal court in southern Florida.

The lawyers allege that Fox News coerces distributors into “exclusionary and restrictive agreements,” and that it has used “intimidation tactics” to hurt Newsmax — including hiring “private detective firms to investigate Newsmax executives.”

“But for Fox’s anticompetitive behavior, Newsmax would have achieved greater pay TV distribution, seen its audience and ratings grow sooner, gained earlier ‘critical mass’ for major advertisers and become, overall, a more valuable media property,” they wrote in the suit.

Debate viewers vs. Trump on X

Fox's Debate Ratings Disaster: 50% Drop Since 2016 Election

Fox News’ first Republican primary debate got a terrible response from American television viewers, with the broadcast losing about half the audience Fox’s kickoff debate had during the 2016 election.

The chairman of Fox, billionaire Rupert Murdoch, claimed in a 2021 email he was seeking to make Trump a "non-person." The reverse has happened since that decision as well as their decision to fire Tucker Carlson.

According to Nielsen, an estimated 12.8 million people watched Wednesday’s Republican debate.

But that’s a decline of almost 50% from the more than 24 million people who tuned in when Donald Trump appeared in his first presidential debate in August 2015, Nielsen reported.

The "Trump effect" was again witnessed in a January 2016 Republican primary debate hosted by Fox News that Trump also skipped — that debate also drew about 12.5 million people.

Trump said he boycotted the Republican debate this week for a number of reasons, including his large lead over other GOP rivals in the polls.

Social media platform X, formerly Twitter, reported that Tucker Carlson's interview with Trump had 236.7 million views — a count of how many times someone scrolled by Carlson's interview with Trump in their feeds.

Fox's Lead Legal Counsel stepping down

Top Fox News legal officer announces resignation following Dominion lawsuit settlement

"Since the departure of Tucker Carlson, the network's ratings king, and sole truth-teller, Fox News has had a rough year, to say the least.

According to NBC News, in the wake of a $787.5 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems, the network's chief legal officer has announced his exit from the network's ranks and will instead become a special adviser.

Viet Dinh, Fox's chief legal and policy officer, said he'd step down from his executive roles at what used to be the consistently top-rated news network by the end of the year. Fox News will reportedly pay him a handsome $23 million severance package. He'll also earn another $5 million total for his two-year contract as a special adviser to the network."

Viet Dinh served as Assistant Attorney General from 2001 to 2003, where he worked primarily on federal legal policy. Dinh played a significant role in developing the USA PATRIOT Act, a controversial act signed into law by President Bush, which expanded the investigative and prosecutorial power of the federal government in matters of national security. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 1993.

Paul Ryan was the Instigator

Leaked Doc Reveals Why Fox News ‘Moved On’ from Trump

A "bombshell" report has exposed the betrayal of former House Speaker Paul Ryan, who is now using his position on the board of Fox Corporation to undermine former President Donald Trump and his supporters.

According to newly leaked court documents, Ryan was instrumental in convincing Fox News to shift its coverage away from Trump and his America First agenda after the 2020 election. Ryan reportedly pressured Fox executives to distance themselves from Trump and embrace a more moderate and establishment-friendly tone.

The documents also reveal that Ryan was behind the controversial decision to call Arizona for Joe Biden on election night, a move that angered many Trump loyalists and viewers. Ryan allegedly argued that Fox News had to be the first network to declare Biden the winner, even though the race was still too close to call.

I am rather sure he was behind the firing of Tucker Carlson as well.

Fox News--Moving On

Damning Court Doc Leak Reveals Fox News Was Plotting Against President Trump

"Fox News’ determination to ‘move on’ from Donald Trump is further illuminated by a recent court document release from the dispute between the network and Dominion Voting Systems.

The document breach occurs while the network’s star lineup is going through a substantial transition. The most popular anchor on primetime cable news, Tucker Carlson, lost his job as host of the network’s main program, which aired at 8 p.m.

While Rupert Murdoch was said to be behind the decision, Fox News did not immediately offer an explanation for why the network opted to split ways with its top primetime personality.

Paul Ryan, the former Republican Speaker of the House, is a looming force in the background who has grown fairly prominent with Fox News’ upper management.

A court document from Dominion Voting System’s lawsuit against Fox News that was recently published claims that Ryan was a significant factor in the network’s decision to turn on President Trump. The investigation Carlson conducted into how the federal government was involved in the events of January 6 may have given the top brass the most cause for concern." [en-volve.com]

Tucker's Firing

Insider Sources Reveal Tucker Carlson's Departure Was a Firing - Not Voluntary Like Company Said

Tucker Carlson is no longer with Fox News

The stunning announcement, which was made Monday, sees the 53-year-old firebrand leaving the network after 14 years.

Carlson started at Fox News as a contributor in 2009, before blossoming into the primetime powerhouse he currently is best known as.

He was the number one tv personality that Democrats wanted out--they got their wish.

Tucker had no idea when he ended his show on Friday night that he would be gone as he ended his show, "I'll see you Monday," or words to that effect.

Fox made a gigantic mistake--
Fox Corporation has lost nearly a billion dollars in stock value after the network announced on Monday they are parting ways with their top anchor, Tucker Carlson, the host of one of America’s most popular cable news shows, “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Within hours of the Carlson departure announcement, Fox Corporation reportedly lost $930 million in market value, according to a report by Business Insider, which reported that “Fox Corporation stock fell as much as 5% on Monday and erased $930 million in market value after it was announced that Fox News Media parted ways with host Tucker Carlson. Shares of the media company recovered slightly and were trading at $29.61, down almost 4% at 12:15 p.m. ET.”

FOX's top star, Tucker Carlson, fired!

Fox News ousts Tucker Carlson in stunning move following $787 million settlement

In an austere, four-sentence statement, Fox News announced Monday that primetime star Tucker Carlson is leaving the network, effective immediately.

"FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor," the network said. "Mr. Carlson's last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named."

The ouster of Fox's top opinion host comes less than a week after Fox settled an epic defamation lawsuit by an election technology company for $787 million over segments promoting the bogus claims that election fraud cheated then-President Donald Trump of victory in 2020.

Fox Rehires Democrat for 2022 and 2024 election decisions

Fox News Re-Hires Expert Who Called Arizona for Biden

"The orchestrator of Fox News' early call of Arizona in the last presidential election is coming back to run the network’s decision desk for the 2022 midterms and 2024 elections.

Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott told The Hollywood Reporter that Decision Desk Director Arnon Mishkin will be rehired to be in charge of upcoming election coverage.

Fox stirred outrage from its viewers when it called Arizona just minutes after polls closed on election night 2020, while still failing to call Florida for then-President Donald Trump, even though voting had closed almost two hours earlier.

Mishkin, a longtime Democrat operative who backed Hillary Clinton in 2016 and donated to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, quickly drew the ire of the Trump campaign for his Arizona decision."

Trump calls out Brett Baier

Trump hits Fox News, Bret Baier: They ‘sided’ with ‘outdated and terrible’ Maricopa County on latest audit

The ongoing 2020 election audit in Arizona has former President Donald Trump convinced that significant voter fraud occurred in Maricopa County and that it’s now being covered up by everybody in the press, including Fox News’ Bret Baier.

During the Arizona's Senate hearing--"the auditors showed 168,000 fraudulent ballots printed on illegal paper (unofficial ballots), 74,000 mail in ballots received that were never mailed (magically appearing ballots), 11,000 voters were added to the voter rolls AFTER the election and still voted, all the access logs to the machines were wiped, and the election server was hacked during the election.”

Bret Baier repeated the AP’s reporting near-verbatim on Fox News’ “Special Report.”

Fox Soul Cancels Farrakhan

Fox ‘Soul’ Cancels Anti-Semite Farrakhan’s July 4th ‘Message to America’

"Apparently under pressure, Fox Soul TV, a new streaming channel geared towards the African-American community, launched by the Fox Corporation, has cancelled an address scheduled for July 4th by notorious anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan."

I sure hope Fox didn't cancel it because they were "under pressure" but rather used common sense. The question that should be asked is why did Fox even agree to air a disgusting Jew hater such as Louis Farrakhan to begin with--it boggles the imagination.

CNN's future demise all their own fault

Impeachment is Making CNN’s Ratings Drop Even Lower

CNN, the organization most closely associated with fake news remains determined to continue its anti-Trump death spiral and the phony impeachment inquiry has them racing toward bankruptcy.

Consider who they have-- Jake Tapper, Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer and Jim Acosta to name four of the main anti-Trumpers. Why don't they like Trump? Because he is not afraid of them and continues his mission to Drain the Swamp.

It couldn't happen to a more deserving anti-trump fake news outfit and arm of the Democrat Party that once was a legitimate source for news you could trust. NO more. Now we have Fox trying to be more "fair and balanced" than they were but are hiring liberal, Left-winger Trump haters. That will be their downfall if they continue with this business plan.

Greg Gutfeld threatens to throw Juan Williams off the Fox set

'If you say that again, I'm gonna throw you off the set': Things got unhinged during a Fox News segment on Michael Cohen

Personally, I can't stand Juan Williams and would like to see him off Fox News....not for his ridiculous defense of the lying Michael Cohen but everything in general. I don't need this Trump hating token liberal to comment on anything. We conservatives already know what Democrats think or continue to twist to their narrative.
