Eric Swalwell’s latest scandal is drawing reactions from all corners, and Rosie O’Donnell just added her own very public one. In a video posted to social media, O’Donnell said she was stunned by the allegations and seemed to take the news personally.

She said she had known Swalwell in a limited way and had supported him before the story broke. But once the allegations surfaced, her tone changed fast. The disappointment was obvious, and she did not hold back when talking about what it meant to her.

“Can we talk a little bit about Eric Swalwell?” O’Donnell said in the video. “I know that guy, in the ‘What kind of way?’ Like, spoke to him on the phone a couple times, donated money to him, I believe.”

She went on to say, “Talked about him in some public appearances years ago, about how I believed in him, and his cute little family and two kids, and standing up to all those people when he berates them for their moralist behavior,” the comedian continued.

Then came the line that got the most attention. “And then all this comes out about him, and it’s heartbreaking to me,” she added. “And I wrote him. I wrote him a little message, and I said, ‘You know, Bill Clinton broke my heart, and now you did, too.’ You know the conclusion I’ve come to? Men suck.”

Last week, one of California’s rising Democratic stars watched his carefully constructed world collapse in spectacular fashion, abandoned not just by colleagues but by the billionaire benefactor who once called him family.

Stephen Cloobeck, the Diamond Resorts founder, had invested heavily in what he believed was a winning political bet. Rep. Eric Swalwell wasn’t just another politician to Cloobeck—he was a “little brother,” a frequent guest at his 9,700 square foot Beverly Hills mansion, and the recipient of more than $1 million in donations for his gubernatorial campaign.

When the New York Post recently asked Cloobeck about rumors swirling around Swalwell’s behavior with female staffers, he scoffed. The congressman was family, after all.

Then came the allegations. Within days, over 50 former staffers called for his resignation — funny how courage becomes contagious once the cameras are rolling — and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office announced an investigation.

“I am no longer supporting Eric,” the Diamond Resorts founder told the outlet. “Fcking tell everyone I’m a libertarian. Fck you, Democrat Party. I’m a libertarian now.”

Cloobeck confronted Swalwell directly, telling him he’d “busted the trust” before delivering the final verdict: “Get the f— out of here.”

And Swalwell ended his career just like that.

What Patel Wants Released

FBI Director Kash Patel has reportedly ordered agents to prepare decade old investigative files about Rep. Eric Swalwell and a suspected Chinese intelligence operative known as Fang Fang for public release. The files come from an inquiry that did not produce criminal charges.

Still, Patel is pushing fast redactions and a near immediate disclosure of those records to the public. That kind of move is unusual from the FBI but tells you how serious the director is about transparency in this matter.

What the Files Allegedly Contain

Reports say the intelligence community compiled a classified dossier describing how Fang Fang operated as a donor and bundler for Democrats and how she allegedly had an intimate relationship with Swalwell. Some media outlets have claimed the files include explicit details about the relationship.

Officials who have seen portions of the material have described it as politically explosive, even if it did not lead to charges at the time.

Why Release Matters Now

Releasing the files would let the public see what the FBI and intelligence community knew and when they knew it. Conservatives argue this is about accountability and about ensuring lawmakers with possible foreign entanglements did not retain access to sensitive national security information.

Critics worry releasing raw investigative material could unfairly smear people before full vetting. Both points deserve attention, but transparency tends to build trust while secrecy breeds suspicion.

The investigation in question occurred between 2011 and 2015, during which time the FBI was led by Robert Mueller (until September 2013) and then James Comey.

The donation came from a law firm with one attorney in its Silicon Valley office. That lawyer is Keliang "Clay" Zhu, who previously donated $5,000 to Swalwell's campaign in November and over $10,000 to his House campaigns in previous cycles.

Here's where it gets interesting.

The Chinese Communist Party's Ministry of Justice created the China Law Office as a subsidiary firm in the early 1990s, which later became DeHeng Law Offices in 1995.

The firm now operates over two dozen offices in China while claiming independence, but lawyers at the firm continue working hand-in-glove with the Chinese government's departments and major state-owned enterprises.

Zhu's biography reads like a how-to guide for helping Communist China infiltrate American business.

He touts representing "an investment fund of a major state-owned enterprise in acquiring majority shares in one data analytics software company in the Silicon Valley" valued at $100 million.

Another bio claims he "has assisted Chinese companies and funds to complete more than $9 billion investments in the fields of chips, unmanned vehicles, new energy, artificial intelligence, industrial automation, and biopharmaceuticals in the United States."

And that's not all..

Swalwell's ties to China have come under scrutiny before, particularly after Chinese national, Christine Fang also known as "Fang Fang," gained special access to him and his campaign. She was deemed by U.S. officials to be part of a counterintelligence effort linked to China meant to influence and get close to U.S. political figures.

And now he wants to run for governor of California. That state is so messed up.

A Chinese national has been sentenced to eight years in prison for acting illegally within the United States as an agent of the People’s Republic of China.

Ji Chaoqun, 31, enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves under the Military Accessions Vital to the National Interest program in 2016.

A jury in the Northern District of Illinois convicted Chaoqun last year on one count of conspiracy to act as an agent of a foreign government, specifically the People’s Republic of China, without first notifying the Attorney General; one count of acting as an agent of the People’s Republic of China without first notifying the Attorney General; and one count of making a material false statement to the U.S. Army. U.S. District Judge Ronald A. Guzman imposed the sentence.

Wednesday’s episode was no exception with compromised Democratic Congressman Eric Swalwell of California suggesting the incident wasn’t a big deal and nothing illegal had happened. Co-host Whoopi Goldberg even got agreement from Swalwell after she falsely claimed the documents may not have been classified at all, despite the White House admitting they were.

It’s clear that the Democrats and the liberal media are trying to sweep this scandal under the rug. Even when the White House and Biden’s lawyers have admitted that the documents were indeed classified material, they still keep pushing the false narrative that they were just recipes or cooking instructions.

Meanwhile, they continue to push the debunked lie that Trump kept classified documents at Mar-a-Lago with the intent to sell them to America’s enemies. This is their way of deflecting attention away from Biden and his mistakes and trying to make it look like Trump is the bigger criminal. NO one is buying that.
