Rosie O’Donnell Blasts Swalwell 

Eric Swalwell’s latest scandal is drawing reactions from all corners, and Rosie O’Donnell just added her own very public one. In a video posted to social media, O’Donnell said she was stunned by the allegations and seemed to take the news personally.

She said she had known Swalwell in a limited way and had supported him before the story broke. But once the allegations surfaced, her tone changed fast. The disappointment was obvious, and she did not hold back when talking about what it meant to her.

“Can we talk a little bit about Eric Swalwell?” O’Donnell said in the video. “I know that guy, in the ‘What kind of way?’ Like, spoke to him on the phone a couple times, donated money to him, I believe.”

She went on to say, “Talked about him in some public appearances years ago, about how I believed in him, and his cute little family and two kids, and standing up to all those people when he berates them for their moralist behavior,” the comedian continued.

Then came the line that got the most attention. “And then all this comes out about him, and it’s heartbreaking to me,” she added. “And I wrote him. I wrote him a little message, and I said, ‘You know, Bill Clinton broke my heart, and now you did, too.’ You know the conclusion I’ve come to? Men suck.”
