Health officials advise against any water-related activities at affected beaches

Multiple beaches in Palm Beach County are under water quality advisories following heavy rains late last week.

The Florida Department of Health (FDOH)-Palm Beach County on Wednesday issued health advisories for seven beaches.

The advisory affects the following beaches:

Carlin Park in Jupiter
Riviera Beach in Riviera Beach
Phil Foster Park in Riviera Beach
Lake Worth – Kreusler in Lake Worth (and this will include Lake Worth Beach)
Ocean Inlet Park in Ocean Ridge
Sandoway-Delray Beach in Delray Beach
Spanish River in Boca Raton

DeSantis wins big as Special Olympics reverses vaccine mandate

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis won a significant victory after the Special Olympics hosted in various locations throughout Florida reversed their vaccine mandate.

The reversal came after the Florida Department of Health threatened event organizers with $27.5 million fines if they enforced the mandate on special Olympians.

On June 2nd, the Florida Department of Health sent a letter to the organizers saying that the event violated Florida law. The letter charged them with 5,500 separate violations of Florida law or a fine of $5,000 per person.

Florida Health Department Calls Out White House Over ‘Irreversible’ Trans Treatments For Kids

Guidance was put forth this past Wednesday by the Florida Department of Health that stood against “irreversible” transgender treatments targeting kids, making warnings that these procedures present an “unacceptably high risk of doing harm.”

Puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and gender reassignment surgery should not be part of any of the treatment options for kids or adolescents, reads the guidance, which makes repeated referral to their “potentially irreversible consequences.”

“Based on the currently available evidence, ‘encouraging mastectomy, ovariectomy, uterine extirpation, penile disablement, tracheal shave, the prescription of hormones which are out of line with the genetic make-up of the child, or puberty blockers, are all clinical practices which run an unacceptably high risk of doing harm,'” stated the guidance.

Florida surgeon general refuses mask in meeting with state senator, asked to leave

Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo and two of his aides were told to leave the office of Democrat state Sen. Tina Polsky after they were offered masks and refused, Florida Politics reported. Ladapo allegedly offered to move the meeting outside as an alternative but Polsky declined.

Ladapo had requested that he and the senator meet as he prepares to seek reconfirmation in his role as surgeon general for the upcoming session.

Health Officials Disagree With Governor Cuomo

It has to be tough dealing with the top arrogant know-it-all governor in the United States...the guy who loves himself beyond belief! I don't know which one is worse--Andrew or Chris as the most insufferable in the Cuomo family.

Nine health officials have resigned so far, which includes the New York State Health Department deputy commissioner for public health and the medical director in the state’s division of epidemiology. These officials span various departments and bureaus throughout New York.

Cuomo held a press conference where he stated that he didn’t trust state health officials.

Two Lake Worth Restaurants failed Health Inspections

"Two Lake Worth restaurants and one in Palm Springs were closed the week ending Aug. 26 after failing inspections."

I always think it's usually the lower end restaurant that has problems but certainly my theory is shot to hell when a restaurant of the caliber of Couco Pazzo is closed.

"Inspectors found a total of 29 violations, including eight high-priority, at El Limon at 11 N. H Street in Lake Worth Aug. 20-21; a total of 10 violations, including three high-priority, at Couco Pazzo at 915 Lake Avenue in Lake Worth Aug. 22-23; and a total of 26 violations, including six high-priority, at McKenna’s Place at 4068 Forest Hill Blvd. in Palm Springs Aug. 21."
