Trump asks Supreme Court to delay potential implementation of TikTok ban

Despite Donald Trump's previous statements against the use of TikTok in America because of national security concerns, the president-elect appears to be changing his stance.

According to the New York Post, Trump is going straight to the Supreme Court and asking the justices to delay any prospective implementation of a law that would ban TikTok in the U.S.

Currently, the law is scheduled to take effect on Jan. 19, 2025, just one day before Trump is sworn in as the 47th president of the United States of America.

Trump wants a ruling on the legality of the implementation of the law delayed at least until he takes office.

The Chinese firm ByteDance had been ordered to divest TikTok or face an outright ban in the US pursuant to a law signed by President Biden earlier this year.

ByteDance has ties to the CCCP but Trump feels that it can be settled politically rather than banning it outright. TikTok has 170 million monthly active users in the US.

Report: Key backer of Kamala Harris has ties to Chinese Communist Party

Former President Donald Trump is known for taking a tough stance on China, recently accusing it of having "screwed" America on trade.

That opposition stands in sharp contrast to the position taken by one of Vice President Kamala Harris' key backers.

Entrepreneur Ron Busby Sr. serves as president and CEO of the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. (USBC), an organization which describes itself as being "the national voice of black business."

According to a report released by Fox Business on Wednesday, Busby has visited the White House "dozens of times" since President Joe Biden took office.

The Chinese Communist Party is rooting for Kamala Harris because they know she will kowtow to their interests.
