Hakeem Jeffries praises AOC

Jeffries says sky’s the limit for Ocasio-Cortez ahead of 2028

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries says the sky’s the limit for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, even as he declines any 2028 endorsement and keeps Democrats fixed on the midterms.

In a USA TODAY interview, the House Democratic leader praised the New York City congresswoman and refused to narrow the field for the next presidential race.

Jeffries said he is not ready to make a 2028 pick. He said he is not “getting involved in the presidential sweepstakes right now.” His stated priority is winning control of the House, and he has his eye on the speakership.

That stance still left room for a warm assessment of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the 36-year-old progressive who has already been weighing a White House bid or a challenge to Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer.

Illegals and voter registrations

🤔Jeffries dodges noncitizen voting question on live TV, pivots to accusing Republicans of voter suppression

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries dismissed New Jersey's disclosure that roughly 6,600 noncitizens were registered to vote as a "modest or minor" challenge, then quickly changed the subject to attacking Republicans.

CNN anchor Dana Bash pressed Jeffries on the issue during a Sunday appearance on "State of the Union," pointing to what she called one of the most significant disclosures of noncitizen registration on record.

New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill, a Democrat, announced the previous week that a "serious software error" had registered approximately 6,600 noncitizens as voters between June 2023 and June 2024. Fewer than 400 of them actually cast ballots.

Bash's question was blunt: "Democrats have repeatedly said that non-citizen voting doesn't happen. It happened. Is this a problem?"

Jeffries did not say yes. He did not say no. He talked about confidence in state and local authorities, called the New Jersey situation a voluntary disclosure that was "immediately corrected," and then steered the conversation toward President Trump and the GOP.

Jeffries called 6,600 illegal registrations a "modest" problem, then blamed Republicans.

Black Caucus Defends Hakeem

Congressional Black Caucus rallies behind Jeffries, fires back at Slotkin's call for new Democratic leadership

The Congressional Black Caucus closed ranks around House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries on Friday evening, issuing a joint statement that dismissed Sen. Elissa Slotkin's public call for "significant new leadership" in the Democratic Party, and accused the Michigan senator of enabling the very administration she claims to oppose.

The statement, signed by CBC Chair Yvette D. Clarke of New York and former chairs Reps. Steven Horsford of Nevada and Joyce Beatty of Ohio, cast Slotkin's remarks as a distraction from the party's mission. But it also contained a factual error about Slotkin's voting record, undermining the credibility of the CBC's own counterattack.

The clash lays bare a fault line running through the Democratic minority: a party that cannot agree on who should lead it, or even get its facts straight when attacking one of its own members.

For voters watching from the outside, the spectacle offers a useful window into how the opposition party is spending its energy, not on policy, but on an internal power struggle it cannot resolve.

Jeffries Tries to Turn the Volume Up

Hakeem Jeffries Under Fire for Pledge to Shut Down the MAGA Movement

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries took the stage at a progressive conference and sounded less like a lawmaker and more like a man auditioning for a villain monologue.

He said Democrats must not only defeat what he called “MAGA extremists” at the ballot box, but also “break their spirit.” Jeffries added that the moment is one where “MAGA extremists are going to break the country, or we’re going to break them, and our goal is to break them.”

That kind of language is not exactly the stuff of calm civic healing. It is the political version of grabbing a megaphone and yelling, then acting shocked when people hear you yelling.

Republicans quickly jumped on the comments and said Jeffries was speaking about millions of Americans in a hostile way. Edgar Barrios, a spokesman for House Speaker Mike Johnson, said on X that Jeffries wants to “BREAK the spirit” of 77 million Americans and called it violent language.

Republican congressional candidate Christian Maxwell asked why Democrats always sound so “disgustingly violent,” while Minnesota state Rep. Walter Hudson said the remarks showed “malevolence” at the top of the party.

Joe Gruters, chairman of the Republican National Committee, argued that Democrats were interested in revenge rather than serving the public. In plain English, that is not the kind of reaction a party wants when it claims to be the adult in the room.

Power Hungry Democrats

Virginia Republicans condemn Democratic push to reverse state Supreme Court redistricting ruling

Virginia House Minority Leader Terry Kilgore called it "insane." Heritage Foundation fellow Zach Smith said it would "undermine the rule of law."

And by late Monday, Democratic leaders in Richmond had already filed an emergency application with the Supreme Court of the United States, racing to undo a state high court ruling that blocked their preferred congressional map before a May 12 pre-primary deadline.

The fight centers on a 4-3 decision by the Supreme Court of Virginia that struck down Democrats' redistricting effort, a now-blocked 10-1 congressional map that Republicans say was drawn to entrench Democratic power.

Rather than accept the ruling, Virginia and national Democrats have reportedly discussed a menu of options to reverse it, including lowering the retirement age of state justices, re-trying the case before a different court, and using an earlier lower-court ruling to invalidate the independent redistricting commission itself.

Those discussions, first reported by the New York Times on Monday, included the insufferable House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York. Fox News Digital reported that Kilgore, a Republican from Gate City, framed the situation in blunt terms.
"That just shows you how power-hungry Hakeem Jeffries and his Democrats are up there, and I'm glad the Supreme Court followed the rule of law, and it was a good day for Virginia."

Hakeem inciting violence

Trump says Hakeem Jeffries should face charges for 'inciting violence' after 'maximum warfare' rhetoric preceded assassination scare

President Donald Trump accused House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of inciting the most recent assassination attempt against him and called for the New York Democrat to be arrested, escalating a bitter clash over whether Jeffries' combative language helped set the stage for an armed attack at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in April.

Trump made the accusation Thursday in a Truth Social post that reached his 12.6 million followers. He paired the text with images of Jeffries standing beside a sign displaying the words "maximum warfare."

The faces of Trump and aide James Blair, and, three days after Jeffries' remark, surveillance footage that Fox News Digital reported showed suspect Cole Allen rushing a Secret Service checkpoint at the Washington Hilton with a weapon in hand.

The post asked a pointed question: "Should Hakeem Jeffries be charged with inciting violence?"

At a news conference in late April, Jeffries defended his use of "maximum warfare" and refused to walk it back amid GOP backlash. He told reporters bluntly:
"I don't give a d*** about your criticism."

Senate Democrats used a funding fight to try to gut immigration enforcement

Three House Democrats defy Jeffries, vote with Republicans to fund DHS and immigration enforcement

Three House Democrats broke ranks with Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries on Friday and voted to fully fund the Department of Homeland Security, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol.

Reps. Henry Cuellar of Texas, Don Davis of North Carolina, and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington joined 209 House Republicans and independent Rep. Kevin Kiley of California in backing Speaker Mike Johnson's 60-day funding patch.

According to the Washington Examiner, the vote handed Johnson a key win after a weeks-long shutdown fight over immigration enforcement, and it exposed a crack in the Democratic wall that Jeffries has been working to hold together.

The reason for the crack is simple: the Democratic position is untenable, and a few of their members finally admitted it. Defunding Border Patrol isn't a winning hand.

Democrats and News Media the problem

The Democrats didn't stumble into inflammatory language. They built the playbook for it.

Democrats used sustained, coordinated efforts to convince millions of Americans that Donald Trump represented something so dangerous that normal democratic opposition wasn't enough.

That framework – Trump as existential threat, as fascist, as someone history would judge harshly for not stopping – didn't stay on television. It traveled.

Two men tried to kill Donald Trump. Both acted after years of that messaging saturated the culture.

Hakeem Jeffries doesn't get to be the arbiter of dangerous rhetoric.

He built his career calling Trump a racial arsonist, pledging to fight in the streets, and cheering on a party that spent a decade telling anyone who would listen that this president was a threat to human civilization. That record doesn't disappear because he showed up on Sunday with a fresh soundbite.

And the mainstream media is a huge contributor to the false rhetoric, never holding Democrats accountable for their caustic deprecation and inflammatory comments.

Jeffries Launches Defund ICE Discharge Petition During DHS Shutdown

Hakeem Jeffries Moved to Defund ICE and Mike Johnson Just Revealed What That Actually Means

Democrats destroyed cities with "defund the police" – and lost badly when voters noticed.

Now Hakeem Jeffries just recycled the exact same move by targeting federal law enforcement.

But Steve Scalise just called him out by name and said the obvious thing everyone else is thinking.

With the DHS shutdown grinding past its 34th day, Jeffries launched a discharge petition Wednesday designed to force a House floor vote on funding most of the Department of Homeland Security – but explicitly cutting out Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection...
  • Every TSA screener, every FEMA worker, every Coast Guard sailor – funded.
  • The two agencies responsible for stopping fentanyl, child traffickers, and terrorist threats at the border – zeroed out.
House Majority Leader Steve Scalise didn't need a teleprompter to explain what was happening. "If you look, they fund everything except the law enforcement side, which is defunding the police," Scalise told Fox News Digital.

"So here they go again. Democrats, for some reason, just hate law enforcement."

Democrats Hypocritical Voter ID stance

Jeffries called out on CNN for his flawed voter ID stance

The Democrat playbook consists of about four or five moves when it comes to Trump.

Trump is racist, Trump will suppress voters, and voting laws are Jim Crow 2.0, among a handful of others.

Shockingly, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) was called out on live TV during a recent appearance on CNN for going against what the American people have made it clear they want to see.

The latest push by Democrats in their effort to undermine Trump is to block him from nationalizing the election process, the very thing that Democrats tried to do when Joe Biden was in office.

To be clear, I don’t support this, as it goes directly against our Constitution, but my point is about how hypocritical Democrats are on this front.

Jeffries stated, “What Donald Trump wants to do is try to nationalize the election. Translation: steal it. And we’re not going to let it happen.”

The moment Jeffries made that claim, any journalist worth their salt would have thrown what the Dems were doing right back in his face, but in this particular interview on CNN, that did not happen.

Hakeem wants to "doxx" Federal agents

Jeffries wants to expose personal information of federal law enforcement agents.

Hakeem, one of the top liars in Congress whose patriotism is askew

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, one of the worst people in congress, crossed a dangerous line when he threatened to "doxx" Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents doing their jobs.Florida Governor Ron DeSantis wasn’t about to let Jeffries’ dangerous threats go unanswered.

The Governor issued a strong statement making it clear that Florida would protect law enforcement officers from being targeted by Democrats.

"We take threats to law enforcement very seriously. As the state leading the nation in immigration enforcement, FL will not sit idly by and allow agents from DHS/ICE and/or state and local agencies to be targeted," DeSantis said.

DeSantis backed up his words with action by directing state law enforcement to respond to any attempts to expose immigration enforcement officers.

"Accordingly, I have directed state law enforcement agencies to respond to any attempt to ‘doxx’ law enforcement personnel and place them in danger," he stated.

The Florida Governor made it crystal clear that sabotaging immigration enforcement wouldn’t be tolerated in the Sunshine State.

Kamala announcement met with silence

Schumer Asks For Applause For Harris Gets Hit With Brutal Silence- TWICE

The apparent lack of support for Kamala Harris in her quest to ascend to the presidency was made evident by the response of an audience to Senator Chuck Schumer’s begs for applause.

Schumer, along with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, formally announced their endorsement of Harris during a joint press conference on Tuesday.

However, despite the enthusiasm of the two former holdouts, the response from the crowd was anything but enthusiastic.

As Schumer declared, “Today, in Wisconsin and across America we begin our next chapter, and it will be our best yet,” he received a deafening silence in response to his passionate appeal for Harris.

It was then that the senator asked for “Applause?” only to be met with continued silence.

Similarly, Jeffries’ own endorsement, delivered with equal fervor and confidence, also failed to elicit any response from the crowd.

Byron Donalds sets the record straight

GOP Rep. Donalds Exposes Biden and Democrats’ Desperate Lies About Jim Crow Comment

Republican Congressman Byron Donalds of Florida recently found himself on the receiving end of baseless accusations from Democratic Congressmen, specifically Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. This is part of the Democrats’ desperation to regain support among black voters, particularly men who have been increasingly turning to Donald Trump.

At a recent Trump campaign event held by Donalds and fellow GOP Rep. Wesley Hunt of Texas, the historically conservative values of black voters were discussed.

Donalds pointed out that black voters have always leaned towards conservative values, but since the 1960s, they have continuously voted for Democrats. He stated, “You see, during Jim Crow, the black family was together. During Jim Crow, more black people were not just conservative — black people have always been conservative-minded — but more black people voted conservatively.”

He went on to explain how this demographic shift occurred due to social welfare programs introduced by President Lyndon Johnson.

Johnson hoped his "War on Poverty" would make the United States a more equitable and just country. In spite of his good intentions, Johnson’s efforts did not achieve a substantial reduction in the rate of poverty; other critics have gone so far as to claim that his programs locked poor people into lives of government dependency. And that's exactly what happened.

Brooklyn's Barack Obama

Hakeem Jeffries Announces Bid to Succeed Nancy Pelosi

This guy is a Marxist who at one time cited left-wing dictator Hugo Chavez, who turned prosperous Venezuela into another Cuba, and then labor leader Cesar Chavez as inspirations for the Democrats attempt to take over elections from the states.[headlineusa]

He believes that Republicans are a cult. LOL, And he is an election denier--in 2016 and 2018. He also thinks Trump tried to steal the 2020 election.

Read about Hakeem... who could be a lot worse than Nancy.
