Nidal Hasan's execution will not be Live Streamed

Trump Says Fort Hood Mass Shooter’s Execution Won’t Be Live Streamed

Nidal Hasan, formerly a U.S. Army major, killed 13 people and injured 32 in a 2009 shooting at the Texas base

President Donald Trump announced on Oct. 15 that the execution of the Fort Hood mass shooter, Nidal Hasan, will not be live streamed, after the Pentagon announced that the event would be available to the public.

Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social that Hasan, formerly a U.S. Army major, killed 13 people and injured 32 more in the 2009 mass shooting at the Texas military base.

“I think streaming the execution for all to see might have been a strong deterrent for the World to witness how America deals with Terrorists and SCUM like Hasan but, many very good and well meaning people would rather not watch him die, through streaming, or through any other visual device,” the president said on Oct. 14.

He confirmed that Hasan will still be executed via firing squad, but he said that it won’t be streamed to the public.
