HHS top adviser Resigns

Kennedy adviser Calley Means resigned from Trump White House over stalled MAHA push

Calley Means, a top adviser to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has left the Trump administration after growing frustrated that D.C. bureaucracy kept blocking core MAHA food reforms.

Means confirmed his departure Thursday and framed the exit as a fight against entrenched power, not a break with the men who hired him.

In a statement matching remarks he posted on X, the Make America Healthy Again architect said he still backs President Trump and RFK Jr. while calling out a capital city system built to freeze reform in place.

NBC News reported the resignation and published his words.
"I am resigning from the White House with tremendous respect for President Trump and RFK, two historic figures who are committed to confronting a corrupt DC bureaucracy that is doing everything possible to protect the status quo."
That line puts the blame where Means wanted it: on the permanent machinery of Washington, not on the president or his health secretary.
