Palm Beach cracking down on boats in the Lake Worth Lagoon

Palm Beach police step up enforcement on boats in Lake Worth Lagoon

If you’ve ever walked or boated along the Lake Worth Lagoon, you’ve probably noticed boats that look like they’ve been sitting there for a while.

On Tuesday, Palm Beach police updated town council members on what they’re doing about it — as they step up enforcement aimed at boats tied to illegal moorings or left anchored long-term in town waters.

Police say they are now cracking down on illegal moorings and enforcing a law passed in November that limits how long boats can stay anchored, no more than 30 days within a six-month period.

George Stephanopoulos told the facts

Senator Eric Schmitt TAKES DOWN "low ratings" ABC's Stephanopoulos during humiliating live interview

"You've LOST the debate!!!"

GOP Sen. Eric Schmitt took down “low ratings” George Stephanopoulos on his own show, strongly defending President Donald Trump’s actions to destroy narco terrorist in drug boats off the coast of Venezuela and calling out the host for “spewing Democrat talking points.”

“With your previous guest you had zero push back because he’s giving the Democrat talking points you spew every single week, which is probably why your ratings are so bad!” Schmitt blasted Stephanopoulos.

Admiral Bradley ordered second strike on drug boat

Admiral Bradley Approved 2nd Strike, Not Hegseth

White House officials said Monday that the “double tap” hit targeting survivors of a U.S. strike on a purported drug smuggling vessel in September was legal.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters that War Secretary Pete Hegseth authorized Adm. Mitch Bradley to conduct the mission and that Bradley was the one, not Hegseth, who ordered a follow-up strike on a destroyed vessel that had already been targeted by U.S. forces after it became clear that there were two people who survived.

Last week, the Pentagon disputed reporting from the Washington Post that Bradley, the Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack, ordered service members to carry out a subsequent strike, or “double tap,” targeting survivors. That started the campaign to destroy alleged drug boats in the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean.

Leavitt said Hegseth did not order the military to kill everyone on board, contradicting reporting that Hegseth made the order to “kill everybody.”

US takes out Drug carrying boat in International Waters

US Strikes Drug-Carrying Boat from Venezuela, Killing 11 Tren de Aragua ‘Narcoterrorists’

President Donald Trump on Tuesday released dramatic video showing a U.S. military strike that destroyed a small boat carrying narcotics and alleged members of the Tren de Aragua gang off the coast of Venezuela.

The video, shared by Trump on Truth Social, captured a missile strike that obliterated the vessel, which erupted into flames in international waters. Trump said 11 narco-terrorists were killed in the operation.

“No U.S. Forces were harmed in this strike,” Trump wrote. “Please let this serve as notice to anybody even thinking about bringing drugs into the United States of America. BEWARE!”

Now what will the evil Maduro say?

On August 7, US Attorney General Pam Bondi announced a $50 million reward for information leading to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who has been facing formal drug trafficking charges from the Justice Department since 2020.

Bondi declared that Maduro “is one of the most powerful drug traffickers in the world and a threat to the national security” of the United States

Cleaning up Snook Islands

Salvage crews remove abandoned yacht from Snook Islands Natural Area

SALVAGE CREWS FINALLY removed the hulking remains of a 33-foot yacht that had been precariously abandoned since June on rocks in an environmentally-sensitive Lake Worth Beach waterway.

“We removed the boat this morning from Snook Islands,’’ said Greg Reynolds, executive director of Lagoon Keepers, a Palm Beach County non-profit organization of volunteer boaters who remove and recycle derelict boats in county waterways.

The removal on Sept. 13 came as a relief to residents who’d been worried the derelict yacht might leak fuel and oil into the Snook Islands Natural Area and Lake Worth Lagoon.

“We patched it (Sept. 12) and dragged it off at high tide this morning and patched it again,’’ Reynolds said.

Lake Osborne Boat Parade

Great night last night for a boat parade--the weather was perfect! As soon as the fireworks began, I ran down to see it. Cars were parked all around the perimeter of John Prince Park. People on the boats were wishing us a Merry Christmas and some even played Christmas music. There were several dozen boats that participated in this Holiday spectacular.

An Eyesore and a Privileged Boat Owner

When it comes right down to it, many people get away with just about anything in this city. Gee officer, I have no where to park my boat...gee whiz--can I get a waiver? Well, why the hell not. And his car was parked on the lawn.

This particular property is on Akron Street. The trailer touches the road.  The boat is bigger than the house. But it seems they got an approval from the City of Lake Worth.

FROM THE CITY:
Good afternoon Lynn, 128 Akron was approved. We currently have 8 approved Administrative approvals for Boats/RVs to be parked in the front yard. They are:

*    1226 15th Ave North

*    1026 N J Street
*    110 Wellesley Drive
*    525 N Palmway
*    181 Duke Drive

Lake Osborne Holiday Boat Parade

Last night, Lake Osborne Drive was wall to wall parked cars there to watch the Lake Osborne Holiday Boat show. Luckily, I just had to walk across the street to get a close view. I met a family down at the lake and the Mom was dressed up as Santa. It was festive and the best show ever!

International Boat Show - Lake Worth Lagoon

Go see how the 1% live--these are the people who don't worry about fictitious reasons to get a city out of its doldrums like growing Lake Worth downtown vertically by 20 more feet; they don't worry about slum and blight because where they live, they don't have any!

The 28th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show will showcase a spectacular display of more than $1 billion worth of yachts, boats and accessories from Thursday through Sunday. Buyers and sellers from around the world will gather along the scenic Lake Worth Lagoon overlooking fashionable Palm Beach, where hundreds of boats ranging from small inflatables and center consoles to fishing boats and super yachts over 200 feet are on display at the show.
