ACT Out Loud, this year's 2-day Pride Celebration

Pride Parade and Celebration

Palm Beach Pride & Parade returns March 28-29, bringing a weekend of celebration, visibility and community to Lake Worth Beach.

Produced by Compass Community Center, the two-day festival will take place at Bryant Park in downtown Lake Worth, from noon to 6 p.m. each day. The annual event is the largest LGBTQ gathering in Palm Beach County with, according to some estimates, more than 30,000 people attending.

“I’ll be celebrating Pride this weekend. It’s always a party, but this year, showing up feels more important than ever,” said Barry Lowenthal, a board member of Compass. “Looking forward to seeing everyone in Lake Worth!”

This year’s theme, “Act Out Loud,” draws inspiration from theater and the performing arts, highlighting the role of creativity, performance and self-expression in queer culture. Organizers are encouraging attendees to embrace bold costumes and high-energy participation throughout the weekend.

The festival will feature live entertainment, food trucks, a Youth Village and more than 140 vendor booths. The event is designed to offer something for all ages, with free admission for guests 18 and younger.

The Pride parade will step off Sunday at 11 a.m., bringing floats, performers and community groups through the streets of downtown Lake Worth Beach.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. For more information, visit CompassLGBTQ.com [outsfl.com]

US Army's 250 Birthday Celebration

In Photos: US Army’s 250th Birthday Parade in Washington

Nearly 7,000 troops, plus dozens of tanks and helicopters came to Washington for an event officially marking the 250th anniversary of the U.S. army.

This was also beneficial for our enemies to see...the most awesome military in the world! Sleep on that, Iran. Perhaps the little No Kings Losers might also wake up.

No Kings rallies sponsored by George Soros

Soros-tied No Kings protesters plot to sabotage US Army's 250th anniversary parade

People who hate our country to protest tomorrow--(good thing they live in a democracy that they ironically hate)

Protests, funded by elites, aim to stand against 'kings.'

As President Donald Trump's administration prepares a grand and patriotic 250th anniversary celebration for the U.S. Army, George Soros-funded progressive activists are plotting a meticulously organized counterprotest to politicize the military milestone.

The White House has stated that the Grand Military Parade scheduled for June 14 in Washington, D.C., aims to "celebrate the legacy of the Army and express our deepest gratitude to those who have served and continue to serve in its ranks."

'That AFL-CIO is openly involved in sponsoring the No Kings rally should raise extreme concerns as to the rally's true purpose.'

"For 250 years, the U.S. Army has defended our nation, upheld the ideals of freedom and democracy, and served with courage at home and abroad. From the Revolutionary War to today, the Army's soldiers have embodied duty, honor, and sacrifice, ensuring the security of the United States and its people," the administration's America 250 website reads.

Despite this tribute to military service and national unity, progressive activists backed by wealthy donors and taxpayer-funded groups are orchestrating a nationwide protest to overshadow the Army's milestone with an anti-Trump agenda.

Flag Day Celebration in Washington, D.C.

GOP governors brace for anti-Trump 'No Kings' protests

Leftists, enraged that American voters elected Donald Trump president for a second term, and infuriated by his policies to close America's borders and work to deport illegal alien criminals, are launching a long list of "No Kings" protests this coming weekend.

In dozens, perhaps hundreds, of cities.

And, fearing that they are nothing more than an open door for terrorism and rioting, GOP governors are warning organizers and participants.

A report in the Washington Examiner confirms that governors in Utah, Texas and South Carolina already have warned against anyone allowing, or participating in, violence. If you don't subscribe to the Washington Examiner, do so, as it's the best!

South Carolina's Gov. Henry McMaster confirmed well in advance of events being promoted by leftists for this weekend that he would put his state on an elevated alert as needed. Many states are doing the same.

The events are to be Saturday, the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army, when a parade is scheduled in Washington.

St. Patrick's Day Parade

A memory--March 17, 2013

Why LWB's annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade isn’t happening this year

But Denise Roeser, president of Wheels for Kids, the charity that had sponsored the parade since 2007, decided earlier this year it was “not feasible” for her nonprofit to continue hosting the event. It was costing them about $10,000.

The Lake Worth Beach Neighborhood Association Presidents Council intended to take over and host the parade. But those plans fell through earlier this month, causing confusion among many people who found out online in comment threads that offered plenty of speculation but no official reason for the late scrub.

What happened?

The answer depends on who you ask...and all very interesting.

Perhaps the City should sponsor it.
