Two-tiered Justice System

Speaker Johnson: House Will Go to Court for Biden Audio After DOJ Refuses to Prosecute AG

Speaker Mike Johnson said Friday that the House will go to court to enforce the subpoena against Attorney General Merrick Garland for access to President Joe Biden's special counsel audio interview, hours after the Justice Department refused to prosecute Republicans’ contempt of Congress charge.

“It is sadly predictable that the Biden Administration’s Justice Department will not prosecute Garland for defying congressional subpoenas even though the department aggressively prosecuted Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro for the same thing,” Johnson said in a statement.

“This is yet another example of the two-tiered system of justice brought to us by the Biden Administration.”

America First Legal Sues Department of Justice

America First Legal sues the DOJ

following Motivated Involvement in the Conviction of President Trump

America First Legal (AFL) sued the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to compel the immediate release of records requested under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) regarding Matthew Colangelo, a key figure in the partisan and political-motivated prosecution against President Trump in Manhattan.

In December 2022, New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg hired Matthew Colangelo to reportedly “jump-start” his office’s investigation of President Trump, reportedly due to Mr. Colangelo’s “history of taking on Donald J. Trump and his family business.”

Mr. Colangelo previously held senior positions at the DOJ and the New York Attorney General’s Office, both of which had competing investigations related to President Trump.

It is not every day that the number three ranking DOJ official — the Acting Associate Attorney General — leaves his post to join a district attorney's office. Yet, that is exactly what Mr. Colangelo did. This calculated move reeks of partisanship.

On May 30, 2024, District Attorney Bragg’s office obtained a guilty verdict on 34 charges against former president Donald Trump but “contorted the law in an unprecedented manner in their quest to snare their prey.”

On May 31, 2024, Chairman Jim Jordan called Mr. Colangelo to testify before the Select Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government for a hearing on June 13, 2024, to “examine actions by state and local prosecutors to engage politically motivated prosecutions of federal officials, in particular the recent political prosecution of President Donald Trump by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.”

As part of AFL’s investigation into the influence of the lawfare against Biden’s chief political opponent, in 2023, AFL filed a FOIA request to DOJ for all of Mr. Colangelo’s calendars and records discussing President Trump to uncover the extent that his jump from DOJ to the Manhattan DA’s Office was part of the politically-targeted persecution of President Trump.

The DOJ has failed to turn over these records, and today, AFL is suing to demand answers.

Statement from Gene Hamilton, America First Legal Executive Director, Executive Vice President, and General Counsel:
“No one leaves being the #3 at the Department of Justice to go work in a district attorney’s office–no matter which one it is. There is no plausible explanation other than engagement in a coordinated campaign to target one man–President Trump. The American people deserve to see these records,” said Gene Hamilton.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) admitted to flying hundreds of thousands of “inadmissible” migrants into the country

Biden Admin Admits That It Flew Hundreds of Thousands of Migrants to Country

Let's talk about this further--

According to an immigration policy think tank, the Biden administration’s U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) admitted to flying hundreds of thousands of “inadmissible” migrants into the country.

The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) National Security Fellow Todd Bensman wrote Monday: “Thanks to an ongoing [CIS] Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, the public now knows that [CBP] has approved secretive flights” of migrants.

Bensman added that these flights were “all pre-approved” on the CBP One cell phone app.

“CBP has withheld from the Center – and apparently will not disclose – the names of the 43 U.S. airports that have received 320,000 inadmissible aliens from January through December 2023,” Bensman wrote, “nor the foreign airports from which they departed.”

“In short, the Biden administration’s legally dubious program to fly inadmissible aliens over the border and directly to U.S. airports has allegedly created law enforcement vulnerabilities too grave to release publicly,” Bensman summarized, “lest ‘bad actors’ take advantage of them to inflict harm on public safety.”

Biden De-Stabilizing America and hiding it from the American People

320,000 illegal immigrants flown into US by Biden admin: Report

A new report from the Center for Immigration Studies shows that President Joe Biden’s administration flew roughly 320,000 illegal immigrants into 43 different U.S. airports from multiple foreign airports last year, allowing the Biden administration to bypass border security data by directly transporting illegal immigrants into the U.S. from other countries.

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, the report was uncovered as the result of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed by the organization.

The Center for Immigration Studies noted, “The public now knows that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has approved secretive flights that last year alone ferried hundreds of thousands of inadmissible aliens from foreign airports into some 43 American ones over the past year, all pre-approved on a cell phone app.”

While the Center for Immigration Studies lawsuit forced the Biden administration to disclose the number of illegal immigrants flown into the United States, the organization said Customs and Border Protection has refused to reveal information regarding which airports were used to transport the illegal immigrants.

Biden is a traitor to the United States of America.

Secret Service Refuses to Hand Over ‘Known Pool of Individuals’ List in White House Cocaine Incident

The Secret Service has refused to turn over the list of individuals who may have accessed the area of the White House

where authorities discovered cocaine over the Fourth of July weekend, saying that the record of such a list does not fall under the Freedom of Information Act. This suggests that the Secret Service never created such a list in the first place.

“As your request seeks records reflecting visitors or related information concerning the Office of the President, please be advised that these records are not Secret Service agency records subject to the FOIA,” Kevin Tyrrell, a Freedom of Information Act officer at the Department of Homeland Security, wrote in a letter obtained by The Daily Signal. “Rather, these records are governed by the Presidential Records Act, and remain under the exclusive legal custody and control of the White House.”

“One of the things you have to do when you go through the security checkpoints—and keep in mind, every staff member, every visitor, has to go through a background investigation to get into the White House—they not only check you for weapons,” von Spakovsky said. Hans von Spakovsky is a senior legal fellow at Heritage’s Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies.

“You have to go through an area where they blow air through you and they have dogs sniffing, to try to detect any kind of illegal substances, bombs, or anything else. And yet they missed someone bringing cocaine into the White House? That is hard to excuse,” he said.

Secret Service will not release records on llegal drug found in White House

Secret Service Refuses To Release Cocaine Records

The United States Secret Service has denied a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed by Jason Leopold of Bloomberg News. The request sought access to records relating to the finding of cocaine within the West Wing of the White House.

Leopold submitted the FOIA request on July 10 requesting the Secret Service release specific records, including emails, text messages, photographs, memos, letters, directives, intelligence bulletins, threat assessments, after-action reports, suspicious activity reporting, and open-source intelligence/social media monitoring reports related to the incident. However, the request was formally denied in a letter received by Bloomberg News on July 11.

The decision is being appealed.

Pelosi to file FOIA regarding Blasey-Ford letter

Pelosi Shoots Feinstein in Foot, Files FOIA on Report Colleague Wanted Private

Who was the leaker? That's my question.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, in a written statement to her colleagues, revealed on Saturday that she was filing a Freedom of Information Act request on the FBI’s investigation into Kavanaugh’s alleged sexual assaults.

Maybe this will settle the minds of Democrats once and for all.

Obama Corrupting Democracy?

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch-- announced  that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia seeking records related to letters sent by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to current green card holders urging individuals to become naturalized U.S. citizens prior to the 2016 election (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (No. 1:15-cv-01702)).  The lawsuit was filed on October 16, 2015.

In April 2015, President Obama’s “White House Task Force on New Americans,” issued a strategic action plan to help millions of green card holders become U.S. citizens.  Immigration Services is reportedly reallocating vast resources away from its “Electronic Immigration System,” a computerized system designed to facilitate national security and criminal background checks, to a campaign of letters to all nine million green card holders urging them to naturalize before the 2016 election.  The Obama administration push includes federal funding for leftist groups that advocate for illegal aliens and amnesty.

Lake Worth Officials and their "cute tricks"

Comment Up

Deborah Andrea is the best in fulfilling public information requests.  However, to get anyone at city hall to act on any other request that might have to go to a staff member to respond,  is sometimes like pulling teeth...think Utility.  There are some exceptions to this--Steve Carr was the absolute best at answering questions and he is virtually gone with his last day on January 4. He will be missed. You can also count on others such as William Waters to answer questions as well as our former Code Enforcement Manager, Raquel Diaz. She is also missed.

And then there's our top administrator along with our legal eagles who are delightful people but to get anything answered?..they honestly do not believe that they have to bother answering a question from Joe Public..too busy, I guess. They answer to the commission and the commission never really answers the public directly on anything. Cute trick and they are getting away with it. What's even worse than that--Joe Public is allowing it.

As we no longer get any city manager weekly report or any report even at city commission meetings (although there is always a place on the agenda for it), and we seldom get a report from the city attorney, the public is being kept in the dark by the only ones who should have the answers to certain questions. They are treating public information on a "need to know" with them calling the shots.

Case in point:

On January 7 there is a behind closed doors meeting that the city will have on two legal cases and then go over all the litigation matters.  There was back-up to this. Someone removed it.  Now I can't get it.  Why not?  This is all public information. The only thing that is not public is what they discuss or what decisions they make on these legal matters while they are open cases. There are tons of cases and now they don't want us to know about them.

City Commission - 2014 January 7, 2014--Minutes--Agenda & Staff Reports -- Full Version

All the crazy stuff and give-aways of public property have been well planned in advance. You would think that the commission ran on the slogan, "We need change" but who would have suspected the outcome? Take the cutting down of the 75 year-old Banyan tree at the Cultural Plaza. They said, "oh, that was a mistake." There is no way that anyone would believe that was accidental...but they want you to. The tree has now been replaced by the look-alike FAO Schwarz bear, getting ready for our historical City Annex to become an arts center.

Obama Cabinet Members disobeying the Law?

On his first full day in office, President Barack Obama ordered federal officials to “usher in a new era of open government” and “act promptly” to make information public.
As Obama nears the end of his term, his administration hasn’t met those goals, failing to follow the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act, according to Bloomberg News.

Nineteen of 20 cabinet-level agencies disobeyed the law requiring the disclosure of public information: The cost of travel by top officials. In all, just eight of the 57 federal agencies met Bloomberg’s request for those documents within the 20-day window required by the Act.
There are exemptions to solicitation of information under these acts that create problems and discrepancies. The nine exemptions to the FOIA  address issues of sensitivity and personal rights. See Title 5 of the U.S. code
