CNN has been pumping its audience full of hope, desperately hyping the Manhattan District Attorney grand jury that was impaneled to find dirt on Trump. Unfortunately for CNN, the grand jury found nothing at all and CNN and their partners in mainstream media have egg on their faces yet again.

Two successive Manhattan District Attorneys, Cyrus Vance, Jr. and Alvin Bragg, have dug for dirt on Donald Trump, looking for something – anything – on which to indict him. And they have both failed spectacularly.

"Ronald Fischetti, a New York attorney who represents the former president, said on Monday that in a meeting last week, he asked Vance’s team for details on charges they were considering. According to Fischetti, members of Vance’s team said they were considering bringing charges against the Trump Organization and its individual employees related to alleged failures to pay taxes on corporate benefits and perks. It has been widely reported that those perks included cars and apartments and appear to only involve a small number of executives."

Manhattan prosecutors may have found their “insider” as a grand jury considers whether charges are warranted against former President Donald Trump, according to a top prosecutor in Robert Mueller’s special counsel investigation.

Andrew Weissmann, a former Justice Department official and FBI general counsel, said reports about the testimony of a senior Trump Organization official may be a game-changer for the New York-based inquiry.

Trump denies any wrongdoing and in February decried what he dubbed a “new phenomenon of ‘headhunting’ prosecutors and AGs.”
