Senator Manchin pointed out that he and 33 Democrats signed a pledge in 2017 to preserve the filibuster. They did this realizing that the brinksmanship started by then-Majority Leader Reid set-off a destructive precedent that stands to destroy the Senate as a deliberative body.

The facts remain that the fraud bill, HR-1 now S-1, could destroy the Republic as will all of Hardy's desires mentioned above.
The Senate Rules and Administration committee deadlocked at 9-9 on the S-1. Democrats do not have the 60 votes to break a filibuster so they are thinking about devious ways to get this passed. This might pass as a Budget bill which requires 51 votes. Basically it is only one vote from passing. Schumer will likely invoke rule 14 to bypass committees and put the bill on the Senate floor.

Investigators made a third arrest in a brawl and shooting at the Bamboo Room in Lake Worth Beach.The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said 28-year-old Rosemary Estevez-Hernandez turned herself in to the Palm Beach County Jail. She faced warrants for battery and disorderly conduct.

The agreement, reached one week ago, marks a major step forward, but challenges still remain: The G-7 will now try to reach a consensus with the broader Group of 20 countries when they meet in Italy next month, as well as with the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development, a group of 37 mostly wealthy countries.As part of Biden's infrastructure plan, he wants to tax corporations at 28% from Trump's 21% and wants corporations to pay for his infrastructure plan.
Profit-shifting by American and foreign multinationals costs the US tens of billions of dollars a year as they remain undeterred from seeking out tax havens in places such as Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Ireland, and Singapore.

Janet Yellin and Biden seem to be right on this global minimum tax goal but I will have to study it. As they are raising the coporate tax rate, it is only fair to tax all that offshoring and hiding the amount of taxes they need to pay this country. Will get back on this one.
