Main Office and Voting Equipment Center address is 4301 Cherry Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33409.

Voters wishing to vote by mail in the 2024 elections are required to make a new Vote-by-Mail* Request for all elections. A request must include the voter's FL Driver's License or FL ID, or the last four digits of their Social Security Number, whichever can be verified by our office.

I cAlled them this morning to find out when my vote-by-mail ballot would be mailed out--July 12.

Their new location is about 5 miles north of their old building on Military Trail.

 A few items on the agenda that are interesting:

1.  Resolution No. 80-2021 approves the Agreement with the Supervisor of Elections for calendar year 2022 and establishes the City’s canvassing board for the March 2022 municipal election.

BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION:
Every year, the City approves a one-year agreement with the County Supervisor of Elections (SOE) for equipment use and election services. This agreement outlines all duties and responsibilities of the SOE and City, and the fees to be paid by the City to the SOE for conducting the local municipal election. Changes from last year’s agreement include adding the General Election date and having the SOE oversee the election by hiring, training and assigning the poll workers. The City Clerk will remain as the qualifying officer for the election.

The term of the SOE agreement is from January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022, and the City Clerk’s Office has budgeted $45,000.00 plus the cost of part time poll workers to conduct the General Election.

1) term limits of two consecutive terms for a given seat (6 years—I think 9 years is best—3, 3 year terms)
2) in any election a candidate may concede without forcing a run off--ok
3) change to single-member district voting, mayor at large (totally against this...because it cannot produce proportional representation. Commissioners in actuality represent all of us in this city)
4) allow election by plurality should the leading candidate get 40% plus 1 of the vote. The biggest disadvantage to this is someone can get elected with small amounts of public support

2.  The next thing of interest to all of us who love the Lake Worth beach and park will be discussion of it under Unfinished Business. We already know what Herman wants which is not what the people want overall. Everyone with whom I have spoken want the pool repaired. If it no longer can be repaired because of Bornstein's and staff's total neglect, then build it new and keep it where it is...And no private/public partnerships.

"On Saturday morning, the Supervisor of Elections voting equipment center in Riviera Beach was already buzzing with action as team members started the canvassing process which includes opening, duplicating and tabulating the vote-by-mail ballots that have already been returned."

They tested blank or erroneous ballots to see if the machines, all 1,175 of them, kicks them out. They got an accuracy report on Friday...machines doing the job.

150,000 Mail-In Ballots have been received by Supervisor of Elections. They can process 5,000 an hour and the SOE expects a half million mail-in ballots.

I'm doing early voting beginning on October 19 to ensure my vote is tabulated. Nothing in this article mentioned checking signatures on file against the signature on the mail-in ballot.

Do you recall the blog I put up on this situation on August 16? Well, all you Democrat doubters out there--It's all true--verified by the Supervisor of Elections.

"A video posted by a woman named Tina Brown went viral this week, featuring Brown examining two ballot return envelopes — one which belonged to her Democrat brother and the other which belonged to her, a Republican. The envelopes, she observed, actually revealed their party affiliations. A “D” appeared within a series of numbers near the bar code of her brother’s return envelope, and an “R” appeared in the series of numbers on hers."

So your vote is supposed to be protected. Nobody’s supposed to know what you’re voting for but yet they put ‘R’ right here and ‘D’ right there. So a postal person could see this if they’re a Democrat and say, “Oh that’s an R. Let’s toss it. Let’s just chuck it, and we’ll keep this one.”

While the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections confirmed the ballot return envelopes and their open party identification, it said the labels would not be there for general election ballot envelopes.

Primary Election August 18

Election Day is around the corner, and Early Voting begins in two weeks. As Supervisor of Elections, my team and I are working around the clock to make sure Early Voting and Election Day polling locations are clean, safe, and follow all CDC guidelines. Protecting the health and safety of our voters and poll workers during COVID-19 is a top focus for me as your Supervisor of Elections. We are taking proactive measures to make sure you are safe and ensure every vote counts. Here is my Voter Safety Plan:

• Disposable thermometers will be used to take poll workers’ temperatures before working.
• Poll workers are now provided with disinfectant supplies and instructed to sanitize voting booths and common areas frequently.
• Poll workers will be using PPE, including masks, face shields, and gloves throughout the day.
• Hand sanitizer will be available for use at each polling location, and gloves will be available for voters upon request. • Social distancing tape is being installed at polling locations. • Voters are allowed to bring their own pens to mark their ballot and sanitized or single-use pens will be available for voters as well.
• My office has hired more poll workers to ensure we are staffed up in case of last-minute cancellations.
• Voting by mail is easier than ever before for those who want to vote at home. Voters can now track their mail ballot using our new online system.

This election is unlike any other, but under my executive leadership we are organized, prepared, and have the training in place to keep you safe while you vote. Poll Workers needed Palm Beach County

The Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Office needs Poll Workers for the upcoming August 18th, and November 3, 2020, elections.

It takes 4,000 poll workers to staff over 400 Election Day polling locations and phone banks.
We are hoping to keep as many locations open as possible. We have replacement sites for most of the polling locations that have pulled out, but we need Poll Workers to staff those and others. We are asking voters who can work the polls in August to sign up online by June 30th or shortly thereafter.

"Combined locations lead to longer lines on Election Day. We want to avoid that if possible, but we need help from those who are able to work. We have PPE and are instituting many safeguards to protect our Poll Workers and voters." said Supervisor Link.

Florida Poll Workers historically have been predominantly from demographic groups that are vulnerable to COVID-19, which has led to a decline in availability.

Link said, “We need Democrats, Republicans, NPAs, new voters, and old voters. Please consider this fulfilling way to support Palm Beach County and help everyone exercise their right to vote.”

All Poll Worker positions are paid positions.

Club 45 Event with Sean Spicer as Keynote

The place was mobbed last night, filled with patriots.

Several people spoke before the keynote speaker, Sean Spicer: We met Lois Frankel's opponent, Christian Acosta. It is great to know someone wants to take on the "giant" who has dominated the 21st District.

The Supervisor of Elections, Wendy Sartory Link, the gal appointed by governor DeSantis to replace Susan Bucher, also addressed the crowd. She is delivering “open, fair and accurate elections” run by an impartial, nonpartisan office that will restore “every voter’s confidence” in the election system. We will be getting new voting equipment similar to what the rest of the counties in the state use. Her party affiliation is NPA.

Sean Spicer told us about how he rose through the years to become the twenty-eighth White House Press Secretary and as White House Communications Director under Donald Trump in 2017. He didn't disappoint the crowd. After his speech, he took questions from the audience.

PB Canvassing Board Accused of Election Audit Fraud

Once again, we have LOSERS giving Susan Bucher a hard time. She recently won re-election with 70% of the vote. Some people don't know who they're screwing around with.

A poll watcher group out of California [a whacked out state] has accused the Palm Beach canvassing board of election audit fraud. Losers love to pull this crapola.

Remember when the City of Lake Worth and Mayor Triolo gave Bucher a hard time on the General Obligation bond vote of August 26, 2014? The meeting of the City Commission which occurred on September 5, 2014, was more in the nature of an attack (unfounded and unsubstantiated on the entire electoral process and those involved in it. Bucher was even charged with possibly committing a Sunshine Law violation.

Phil Donovan on ballot for Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections

On the last day of filing for elective office, Phil Donovan's name appeared as a write-in candidate for the office of Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections. If you recall, Phil worked for Lake Worth for 29 years as our Water Department Treatment Plant Operator.

The candidates are Susan Bucher, Christine Spain and Phil.

I called Phil yesterday to get the scoop as his name was a write-in and will not even appear on the ballot. What was he trying to achieve? Basically it boils down to forcing this election to August instead of November, a campaign strategy used by many.

Lake Worth getting ready for March 2016 Election

Our next election will be held on March 15, 2016.  It will cost the city of Lake Worth the same amount as last year, $36,400. As previously reported, all three incumbents have reapplied and will run again for reelection:  Scott Maxwell in District 1, Mayor Pam Triolo and Andy Amoroso District 3.

Tonight this resolution 56-2015 is on Consent Agenda agreeing to the use of equipment and election services with the Supervisor of Elections as well as designate the Municipal Canvassing Board--the City clerk, the Internal Auditor and one person from the legal field, either a retired judge or attorney with knowledge of constitutional laws. Earlier in the year, Glen Torcivia chose Diana Lewis former judge of the 15th Judicial Circuit Court to be the third person on Lake Worth's Canvassing Board.

If you recall during the General Obligation Bond Referendum on August 26, 2014 where the city lost by 25 votes, there was an uproar within the city government and bad feelings developed between the City and Susan Bucher, Supervisor of Elections. Bucher was a part of the Canvassing Board.

Our city complained about this referendum being defeated, losing by 50.40% of the vote, and went after Susan Bucher, poll volunteers and those at some of our precincts for not counting 14 votes because of various issues like not signing their ballot. Also the city didn't like having to pay a charge of $400 for copies and refused to pay the SOE's legal fees.

So later, Bucher said "get lost" and the city developed its own canvassing board. I would be a lot happier if Susan Bucher was part of that board.

It's always the cities that have referendums whose results are unpopular with city governments that give Supervisor of Elections, Susan Bucher, a hard time.  Now it's Palm Beach Gardens.  David Levy, councilman, has never seen a development project he didn't like and certainly term limits are something for which he did not advocate. Lots of politicians want to be in there for life--it's more difficult voting out an incumbent.  Unfortunately, the voters thought differently in PBG and voted in term limits by 79%. Now Palm Beach Gardens is balking at the supervisor's bill for this election.

The last time, it was Lake Worth and the General Obligation Bond. Lake Worth didn't balk at the cost which at the time was estimated to be approximately $5,500 as the majority of the expenses were borne by the County Supervisor of Elections as there were several candidates and another issue on this August 26, 2014 primary election. But our city complained about this initiative being defeated, losing by 50.40% of the vote, and went after poll volunteers and those at some of our precincts for not counting 14 votes because of various issues like not signing their ballot. Also the city didn't like having to pay a charge of $400 for copies and refused to pay the SOE's legal fees.

When elections go their way, especially city backed initiatives, there are never any complaints about the Supervisor of Elections Office by any city government for anything.
