VoterGA (Voters Organized for Trusted Election Results in Georgia) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan organization focused on election infrastructure, voting technology, and election integrity in the state of Georgia. Founded in 2006 by Garland Favorito, the group advocates for verifiable, auditable, and hand-counted paper ballot voting systems.

President Donald Trump used a July 16, 2026, primetime White House address to focus the country on U.S. election security, and according to the source report, he announced the declassification of intelligence documents tied to China, the 2020 election, and an alleged effort by intelligence officials to keep key information from him and from Congress.

That is not exactly a small paperwork dispute at the federal file cabinet. The released material, as described in the report, points to China trying to exploit America’s political divisions and weaken Trump’s support through domestic and foreign groups opposed to him.

Voter Data Allegedly Became the Main Target--The most serious claims center on Americans’ personal information. According to the released records cited in the report, Chinese-linked operatives obtained more than 220 million American voter records, totaling about 45 gigabytes of data.

The information reportedly included names, addresses, telephone numbers, political affiliations, and other details that could be useful for political targeting or voter registration activity.

Another report alleged that information collected from millions of TikTok users could be used to place real names, addresses, and identification numbers on fraudulent licenses, making them harder to catch.

In plain English, the concern is not just foreign propaganda. It is foreign access to the kind of data that can be weaponized in an election system.

Fetterman breaks with his party on AI, warns U.S. retreat hands China the advantage

Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman sided with President Trump on aggressive AI development over the weekend, rejecting calls from fellow Democrats to slow down, and warning that every delay benefits Beijing.

Fetterman posted on X on Saturday, sharing a Bloomberg analysis that examined the narrowing U.S. lead over China in artificial intelligence and the faster pace at which Chinese companies are deploying advanced models. His message was blunt: stop panicking about data centers and start competing. Fox News Digital reported that the Democrat dismissed what he called "AI doomsdaying" and accused critics of playing into China's hands.

The senator framed the stakes in national-security terms:

"AI supremacy and energy dominance underpins our national security. China continues to fuel and benefit from our overreaction. I reject the political pandering and hyperbole over data centers or AI doomsdaying."

That puts Fetterman squarely on the same side as the White House, and miles from the progressive wing of his own party, which wants to freeze data center construction altogether. Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez want a moratorium; Fetterman calls it "China First"

The split inside the Democratic caucus is not new, but it is widening. On March 25, Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stood at the U.S. Capitol to announce the Artificial Intelligence Data Center Moratorium Act, a proposal to halt new facility construction across the country. Fetterman responded by labeling the moratorium push "China First", a deliberate inversion of the progressive framing.

Earlier this month, when reports surfaced that Sanders was eyeing a broader pause on AI development itself, Fetterman fired back again on X:

"America must lead in the development of AI, otherwise we live under China's rules. That must not happen."

The signatories, approximately eleven self-described DSA or DSA International Committee members, put their names to a declaration hosted by Friends of Socialist China, a London-based group that has collected 952 total signatures for its pro-Beijing pledge.

China carried out ‘what is believed to be the largest compromise of election data in history,’ the president said.

President Donald Trump, in a primetime address on last night, announced the declassification of information that he said reveals large-scale Chinese hacking of American voter information.

“Over a period of years, starting during the 2020 election cycle, the People’s Republic of China carried out what is believed to be the largest compromise of election data in history, resulting in China’s illicit acquisition of 220 million U.S. voter files,” he said.

“That information includes names, addresses, phone numbers, political party preferences.”

An accompanying transparency report from the White House stated that China gained access to voter roll data across 18 states. One declassified document reviewed by The Epoch Times detailed a PRC-linked actor’s alleged use of commercial websites to acquire voter data from six U.S. states.

Trump further said that members of the intelligence community sought to suppress data on China’s attempt to influence American elections.

At the center of the operation sits 39 year old Chen Zhi, CEO of Cambodia's Prince Holding Group, who now faces federal charges of wire fraud and money laundering conspiracy.

Agents confiscated more than 127,000 bitcoin from Chen, a haul Fox News reported could be worth more than $15 billion at the time of seizure, depending on market valuations.

After his two-day meeting in China this week, President Donald Trump said May 15 that Chinese leader Xi Jinping responded negatively when he raised the potential release of Jimmy Lai, the Catholic, pro-democracy advocate a Hong Kong court recently sentenced to 20 years in prison.

According to Reuters, Trump told journalists aboard Air Force One during his return flight to the U.S. that Xi was “giving very serious consideration” to releasing Zion Church founder Pastor Jin Mingri but indicated Lai’s case would be “a tough one.”

“He told ⁠me that would be a tough one,” Trump said.

In an interview with FOX News Channel’s “Special Report,” the President added that Xi’s response to the request “was not positive.”

Trump said that Xi “went through a whole thing and I said, ‘Well, we'd appreciate if you would release him. He's gotten old, and he's probably not ​feeling too well. It would be nice.’ And I did not feel ​optimistic. I have to be honest with you about that one,” according to Reuters.

Moreno called them surveillance devices on wheels, and he said Americans would never knowingly buy that kind of equipment for a foreign adversary. That is the kind of warning Congress ought to hear before it gets too cozy with Beijing’s bargain bin of high-tech trouble.

"The most effective influence operation in 2026 is the one that does not look like an influence operation.

Most Americans, when they think about Chinese influence at all, picture something cinematic. They picture a senator on a stage in the Capitol, flanked by two advisors to the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, nodding along to a discussion of how the United States should slow down its own AI industry.

That happened on April 29, 2026, when (communist) Bernie Sanders convened Xue Lan and Zeng Yi for an event titled “The Existential Threat of AI and the Need for International Cooperation.” It was a useful spectacle. It was also a distraction.

The real damage to American AI competitiveness in 2026 is not being done in the Capitol on a Wednesday evening. It is being done quietly, week after week, in 38 state legislatures, by a coalition of NGOs whose funding and intellectual lineage trace back to the same upstream ecosystem that platformed Xue and Zeng, and that has been operating in plain sight for over a decade.

The point of this essay is to lay out, carefully and without exaggeration, why federal preemption of state AI law is no longer a deregulatory preference.

It is a national security necessity. And then to pose what I will call the Manhattan Project test: a single yes-or-no question that, in my view, separates honest AI safety advocacy from de facto strategic alignment with Beijing.

The question Congress should be asking is not whether federal preemption violates conservative principles. The question is whether the United States can afford to let 38 statehouses, lobbied by NGOs whose intellectual lineage runs through Beijing-aligned framings, set the operating constraints for the technology on which the next century of American power depends. The answer is no."

The FBI detected a computer intrusion at its Virgin Islands office on February 17 and officially warned congressional oversight committees under the Federal Information Security Modernization Act.

That law forces agencies to inform lawmakers within a week when an incident could harm national security. So yes, this was not a routine IT hiccup. The notification itself signals the agency judged the compromise serious enough to potentially damage national security interests and require lawmakers to be in the loop.

Public reports and lawmakers point to a China-linked operation as the likely culprit. Officials described the attack as sophisticated and targeted. When intelligence and law enforcement use phrases like sophisticated and major incident, they usually mean persistent, planned and capable adversaries.

That lines up with what Americans already know about Beijing investing heavily in cyber tools that probe U.S. networks for weakness.

According to reporting, the intruders accessed electronic surveillance metadata known as pen register and trap and trace information. Those tools record outgoing and incoming connection details for targeted devices, not the content of conversations.

Still, metadata can be highly revealing because it maps networks, contacts and behavior. The notice also said personally identifiable information of people involved in FBI investigations was taken. That combination can be a counterintelligence gold mine for a foreign power.

A few days ago, Just The News did an update on what we know about China gaining access to American voter registration data prior to the 2020 election.

Since then, investigative reporter John Solomon has elaborated on this in an interview with Glenn Beck.

“We’re finally finding out,” he said. “Congress had no idea; the President had no idea; the American people had no idea.” (Note: We’re not sure that’s quite true. China’s involvement might now be known, but the basic story has been out there, just not confirmed.)

Even Solomon noted later in this same interview that Just The News reported last June about FBI Director Kash Patel releasing documentary evidence about China sending tens of thousands of fake drivers’ licenses into Chicago’s O’Hare Airport to be distributed around the country, presumably for those names to be registered to vote and to “vote” for Biden in 2020.)

“We intercepted those,” Solomon said, “but it’s pretty sure that China either has a preference with the Democratic Party or some sort of alliance with the Democratic Party, based on what the FBI wrote.”
