A Utah man who recorded himself inciting violence and breaking a window before filming the fatal shooting of Ashli Babbitt outside the House chamber during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack was sentenced Friday to six years in prison.

John Earle Sullivan, 29, was paid $90,875 for his videos before he was convicted at trial. A jury found him guilty in November of rioting and obstructing Congress’s certification of the 2020 election results, both felonies, and of five misdemeanor counts.

Prosecutors said Sullivan was a self-described activist with anarchist views who brought a tactical vest, a gas mask, a megaphone and a knife to the riot.

The indictment alleges that Alain Romero, 33, of Hialeah Gardens, Florida, Mauricio Herrera, 40, of Hialeah, Florida, Anthony Lee Davis, 27, of Naples, Florida, David Martinez Ortega, 35, of Naples, Patricia Correa Ramirez, 28, of Miami, Andy Cabrera, 28, of Miami, and Yanker Perez-Diaz, 34, of Westland, Michigan, a member of the Latin Kings gang in Miami, were part of a drug trafficking organization that trafficked methamphetamine and cocaine in Florida.

Breed visited the Beijing headquarters of the Chinese People’s Association For Friendship With Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) on Thursday and met with CPAFFC Party secretary and chairman Yang Wanming, according to the organization’s Chinese-language website and social media account, which the DCNF translated.

CPAFFC is a central cog in China’s influence operations; in October 2020, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo characterized CPAFFC as “a Beijing-based organization tasked with co-opting subnational governments, [which] has sought to directly and malignly influence state and local leaders to promote the PRC’s global agenda.”

With Texas and Arizona clamping down on illegal border crossings, human smugglers are taking the path of least resistance through California, particularly the San Diego border sector. In one week, early April 2024, the San Diego Border sector had 6,997 encounters. That used to be a monthly number; now, it’s weekly.

California politicians in Sacramento have rolled out the red carpet for illegal immigration. The Sanctuary State of California promises free health care and will not turn migrants over to Immigration. The 130,000 street drops do not include the dozens of migrants in boats that run ashore on our beaches at a rate of about four boatloads a week.

David Schoen is an American attorney specializing in federal criminal defense and civil rights law. He was one of the attorneys who represented former president Donald Trump during his second impeachment trial in the United States Senate.

Schoen said Merchan's disqualification is mandatory under New York law 100.3 e(1)d(iii), which states "a judge shall disqualify himself or herself in a proceeding in which the judge's impartiality might reasonably be questioned, including but not limited to instances where the judge knows that the judge or the judge's spouse, or a person known by the judge to be within the sixth degree of relationship to either of them, or the spouse of such a person has an interest that could be substantially affected by the proceeding."

"This judge has no interest in being fair," Schoen told "Eric Bolling: The Balance." "The American Bar Association put out a thing last week or so, saying that the lawyers should be standing up for these judges. I don't have an interest in standing up for a judge who shouldn't be on a case."

Fulton Bank won the auction and will be taking over all of Republic First’s branches and operations effective on Saturday morning. Fulton Bank was founded in January 1882 and is based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and operates with 206 branches located in 5 states.

Republic Bank cut jobs and exited its mortgage origination business in early 2023 as it reeled under pressure from higher costs and inability to improve profitability.

The bank’s stock price has tumbled from just over $2 at the start of the year to about 1 cent on Friday, leaving it with a market capitalization below $2 million.

New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan “abruptly” dismissed a previously approved juror on Thursday after she raised concerns about her identity becoming public, according to court reporters.

The woman told the judge overseeing the case that she had developed concerns about her identity becoming public. Although the judge has kept prospective jurors’ names private, they have disclosed their employers and other identifying information in court.

After excusing her, the judge, Juan M. Merchan, instructed reporters to no longer detail where a prospective juror works. “I have the legal authority to do it,” the judge said of blocking the news media from reporting identifying employer information.

Viewers have called our newsroom concerned about the leak, dead fish, and the awful smell.

According to Lake Worth Beach officials, an AT&T worker putting in fiber optic cable broke the sewer main.

The gushing sewage caused part of the road to cave in.

The liquid eventually spilled into the canal and even into Lake Osborne.

Johnson announced Wednesday morning that he was plowing ahead with sending aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan despite outspoken opposition from hard-line Republicans, many of whom were incensed that his plan excluded border security.

For months, the Speaker had said that any assistance for Kyiv must be paired with legislation to address the situation at the southern border.

Speaker Johnson said that the border security bill would move under a separate procedural rule from the Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan measures.
