Trump rips Romney as ‘total loser’ while endorsing a potential replacement

Former President Trump went after Utah Sen. Mitt Romney (R) and endorsed his possible replacement in a post on Truth Social Saturday.

“Trent Staggs is 100% MAGA, and is running to fill The Mitt Romney, a Total Loser, Seat as the next Senator from the Great State of Utah!” Trump said in his Saturday post.

“A Highly Successful Entrepreneur, who has served brilliantly as Mayor of Riverton for the past six years, Trent knows how to Create Jobs, Stop Inflation, Grow the Economy, and Secure the Border,” Trump’s post continued.

“As your next Senator, Trent will help us Unleash American Energy, Support our Military/Vets, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment.

Sen. Mitt Romney Ignored House Investigations into Hunter Biden, Now We Know Why

Sen. Mitt Romney has recently been making headlines for his actions that conflict with his Republican colleagues

In an interview with The Bulwark, Romney was vocal in condemning the House’s decision to launch investigations into Hunter Biden, claiming it to be a waste of time and resources. This makes his statement hypocritical, considering that one of Romney’s top advisors, Joseph Cofer Black, joined the board of Burisma in February 2017, the same board as Hunter.

Moreover, despite this criticism of investigations into Hunter Biden, Romney voted in favor of the bill creating the January 6 Committee tasked with investigating the incident that happened at the Capitol. It’s clear that he only supports investigations if they don’t involve people who are connected to him or his own allies.

Sen. Romney is out-of-touch with what most Republican voters are looking for right now and should no longer be taken seriously within the GOP circles.

And to think I actually liked this guy once. You never really know what you're getting until you see them in action. My late friend, BarbaraJean and I were all in for Mitt in the 2012 election against Obama. Paul Ryan was his running mate who we all know now is a RINO too.

Sen. Mitt Romney is once again making headlines for his actions that go against his Republican colleagues. This time, Romney has condemned the Republican-controlled House for launching investigations into Hunter Biden. In an interview with The Bulwark, Romney stated that he believes these investigations are a waste of time and resources.

But Romney’s comments are hypocritical, considering his own connection to Hunter Biden. It was previously revealed that Romney’s top advisor, Joseph Cofer Black, was on the board of Burisma Holdings while Hunter Biden was also serving on the board. This alone should make Romney hesitant to criticize investigations into Hunter Biden.

In May of 2021, Romney was one of six Republican Senators to vote in favor of the bill that created the January 6 Committee, which was tasked with investigating the events of the Capitol riots. This shows that Romney is all for investigations, as long as they don’t involve individuals with whom he has a connection.

RINO Romney was the only Republican senator not to endorse Mike Lee. And he voted to impeach Trump twice.

[Powdered Wig] CNN reports that after the initial round of votes, when none of the 12 candidates were able to cross that threshold, the party continued with successive rounds of caucus voting until one candidate reached 40%.

On the second round of voting, Utah state representative Mike Kennedy emerged in the lead with 50.88%. Romney came in a close second with 49.12%.

As a reminder, The Hill points out that in 2016, Romney made waves when he urged Republicans to oppose Trump. He called Trump a “fraud” who lacked the character to be president.
