A Lake Worth bakery owner is in federal custody after Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested him in what the agency is calling a targeted immigration operation — and his family, coworkers, and community members are pushing back on ICE's characterization of the man.

The arrest of Jacob Zapeta Castro happened at a Guatemalan bakery on Lucerne Avenue, just over the train tracks in Lake Worth Beach, on a day that employees say started like any other.

ICE says Zapeta Castro is "a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala who has been removed from the United States four times and has an extensive criminal history including illegal re-entry after deportation, multiple DUI arrests, hit and run, and resisting law enforcement."

According to ICE, officers encountered a vehicle associated with Zapeta Castro around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. When they attempted to stop him, the agency says he tried to ram an ICE vehicle, then got out, fled, and barricaded himself inside the bakery.

The driver in a deadly big rig that killed three in a crash in California had been caught sneaking into the United States illegally in 2022, but then released under Joe Biden's open borders policies and practices.

A report from Fox News cites federal law enforcement sources in revealing that Jashanpreet Singh, 21, encountered Border Patrol agents in the El Centro Sector in California in March 2022.

Then he was released into the interior of the country, as per Biden's practices, pending an immigration hearing.

Online reports said the driver, now "suspected of killing three people in a DUI crash on the 10 freeway in Ontario, CA," was revealed to be "an Indian illegal alien."

He is in custody now in San Bernardino County, where Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a detainer on him.

Bondi said: “He needs to be in prison, he doesn’t need to be on the streets like all these liberals want him to be. We are going to keep America safe from all of these foreign terrorist organizations, including Abrego Garcia.”

“If Kilmar Abrego Garcia did not want to be mentioned by the Secretary of Homeland Security, then he should not have entered our country illegally and committed heinous crimes,” one DHS official told The Hill.

This gangbanger expects due process and wants to muzzle our Attorney General and our Homeland Security head.

Federal courts assuming jurisdiction over such banned, prohibited, or limited claims are violating federal law, and the Supreme Court, if necessary, should tell them so.

Senior U.S. District Court Judge Lawrence E. Kahn sentenced Ruben Altunar-Lopez, a/k/a “Hervin Lopez-Javier,” a 49-year-old Mexican national who was residing in Indiana, to 46 months in federal prison.

It wasn't the illegal alien's first experience with a U.S. prison, as he previously served a six-year stint in a Texas prison for his involvement in a cocaine smuggling ring.

On July 19, 2022, Mexican national Pedro Hernandez-Romero, 30, entered a guilty plea to three charges: fraudulent use of a social security number, and aggravated identity theft.

According to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam, Hernandez-Romero, a previously expelled alien, pleaded guilty to illegally reentering the country without authorization and subsequently using a US citizen’s identity and social security number to obtain COVID-19-related benefits, including about $26,000.00 in Pennsylvania Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) benefits.
