Precious Bland of Miami drowned her 15-month-old daughter Emii in a bathtub on Aug. 23, 2021, then proceeded to stab her husband — who attempted to save the infant — in the head and neck. When her stepdaughter tried to grab the drowned toddler, Bland slashed her, then proceeded to cut her own wrists.

According to a police report reviewed by CourtTV, Bland's husband told police that the killer had been ranting about how "COVID is going to kill us all," how Christ's return was imminent, and how she wanted to baptize her family in the bathtub.

'I’m sure that my family is very vigilant now.'

Bland, who subsequently spent four years in jail and additional time on house arrest while awaiting trial, was initially charged with murder, two counts of attempted second-degree murder, and two counts of aggravated child abuse.

On Tuesday, Miami-Dade Judge Miguel Manuel de la O of the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida found the 43-year-old mother — who admitted to killing her child — not guilty of aggravated manslaughter and first-degree attempted murder by reason of insanity.

FBI names sixth suspect in alleged White House UFC drone and sniper conspiracy

Rincker's arrest came alongside that of William Lee Spartacus Falkner of Belfair, Washington, bringing the total number of people facing federal charges to seven, the Washington Times reported. The defendants are scattered across Ohio, Missouri, Nebraska, California, and Washington state, a geographic footprint that underscores the distributed, internet-driven nature of the alleged conspiracy.

The alleged scheme targeted President Trump's June 14 UFC event on the White House grounds. Conspirators planned to fly explosive-laden drones into the event and buildings nearby, then shoot panicked crowd members as they fled.

A "second wave" was allegedly planned to storm the White House gate, the New York Post reported, citing the unsealed complaint.

Federal prosecutors stated that "members of the conspiracy allegedly agreed to commit murder on the White House grounds and surrounding area during the UFC Freedom 250 event."

The suspect was gone by the time police arrived – but they found him half a mile away. His name is Thomas Caleb Butler, 32 years old. He lives around the corner from the victim.

Butler wasn't a stranger passing by who snapped. He was a neighbor who knew exactly where this man lived, knew exactly what was on that property, and apparently decided those flags were reason enough to kill a 69-year-old.

He's now sitting in the Vista Detention Facility in San Diego County on an attempted murder charge.

Alleged orchestrator of 2024 Lake Worth brothel homicide arrested

Rodney Augustin, 25, was arrested Tuesday on charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit robbery with a firearm in the killing of Marco Escobar.

A Pompano Beach man faces capital murder charges in connection with a deadly robbery that left one man dead and another wounded in Lake Worth in September 2024.

Rodney Augustin, 25, was arrested Tuesday on charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit robbery with a firearm in the killing of Marco Escobar, 58, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office arrest affidavit.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office responded to the shooting shortly before 10 p.m. at a residence in Lake Worth that investigators later determined was operating as a brothel. They found Escobar lying unresponsive near the front door with multiple gunshot wounds. A second victim was found nearby suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

Investigators arrested the three suspects who committed the crime.

A former World Trade Center worker who “narrowly escaped” the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks has been beaten to death by three teens — one of whom was just 12 at the time of the attack, according to officials.

Long Island native Roger Borkum, 64, was found “severely beaten” just before midnight on Oct. 19 in Downtown Jacksonville, FL., after three teens were seen “kicking and stomping” him, according to an arrest report from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

He was found with blood “pooled” around his head — and a “blood trail extending down the sidewalk,” the arrest report said.

The attackers were seen “rummaging” through Borkum’s backpack — and then returned around 20 minutes later, kicking him “multiple” times, the report said. In total, the same suspects were seen “battering the victim three separate times,” the police docs said.

Borkum, a widower who was homeless at the time, died four days later of his injuries.

A judge has sentenced a Lake Worth Beach man to life in prison after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of his roommate.

Jurors also found James Griffin guilty of tampering with evidence in the June 22 death of Dennis Lamy, 63. Circuit Judge Howard Coates immediately imposed a life sentence on Griffin's murder conviction.

Palm Beach County sheriff's deputies arrested Griffin, 58, after finding Lamy's body at a home on the 900 block of Lake Avenue, near Dixie Highway.

At the time of his arrest, investigators alleged Griffin stabbed Lamy multiple times after Lamy kicked him out of the residence.

Baier then held up a graphic and pushed back. He said Chicago is “number one over Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Phoenix, Los Angeles, New York, and San Diego,” directly contradicting the governor’s statement. Pritzker insisted Chicago’s murder rate has been reduced significantly, saying it “has been cut in half over the last four years, and every year, it’s gone down by double digits.”

The exchange grew tense as Baier clarified, “No, no, no, these are murders,” making it clear he was referring specifically to homicide data, not broader violent crime metrics. Pritzker tried to shift the focus, responding, “I’m explaining to you, our murder rate has been cut in half and –– very importantly Bret –– you gotta hear this: very importantly, we’ve been doing the things that are necessary to bring crime down.”

A federal grand jury indicted two alleged Antifa members with terrorism-related charges for a July 4 attack on an ICE facility in Texas.

The indictment, issued Wednesday and unsealed Thursday, charges Cameron Arnold and Zachary Evetts with providing material support for terrorism, attempting to murder federal and assisting officers and discharging firearms during attempted murders.

"For the first time ever, the FBI has arrested anarchist violent extremists and charged these Antifa-aligned individuals with material support to terrorism," FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement.

"This was a planned and coordinated terrorist attack on the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas, where armed extremists tried to murder U.S. officers on July 4th," he continued.

"We are executing under President Trump's new authorities at record speed. To date, the FBI has made over 20 arrests tied to this case and related Antifa networks. No one gets to harm law enforcement. Not on our watch," Patel added.
