California bill AB 2624 --Stop Nick Shirley Act

Confronting California Democrats on Fraud

'You're a psycho scam artist' says one Democrat

Independent journalist Nick Shirley confronted California lawmakers seeking to criminalize investigative journalism which exposes fraud in a video posted Saturday.

Democratic California State Assemblywoman Mia Bonta, the wife of Democratic California Attorney General Rob Bonta, introduced Assembly Bill 2624 (AB2624) in February. In a 25-minute YouTube video posted Saturday, Shirley interviews multiple lawmakers about the bill, which has moved through the Assembly's Privacy and Consumer Protection and Judiciary committees.

"It was only until I exposed fraud that they actually cracked down on the fraud and made some arrests here, especially with the hospices. And do you know that, if this bill were to pass, it'd make it illegal for someone to go after fraud, especially if it's based off of immigrants — for instance, Armenians in California?" Shirley asked one lawmaker.

Watch Nick Shirley confront California Dems trying to criminalize exposing fraud.

This bill AB 2624 will:
Criminalize journalists with misdemeanors, $10,000 fines, imprisonment, and content takedown
Let immigrant based NGOs' funding be confidential
Take away freedom of the press from journalists
Protect any "immigration support services" information from being public (healthcare, legal services, etc)

Trump dismissed Tucker's and Megyn's criticism

Trump fires back at Carlson and Kelly over Iran strikes: 'MAGA is Trump'

President Trump dismissed criticism from Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly over U.S. military operations in Iran, telling journalist Rachel Bade of "The Inner Circle" at Substack on Monday that neither figure represents his base.

"I think that MAGA is Trump — MAGA's not the other two," the president said.

As reported by The Hill, the remarks came after both Carlson, a close ally of the president and vocal critic of Israel, and Kelly publicly broke with Trump over the ongoing strikes in Iran, which killed a number of top Iranian leaders and six U.S. service members on Saturday.

Carlson reportedly lobbied Trump against attacking Tehran in the days leading up to the operation. Trump was unmoved.

The President's Case: Trump framed the military action as a necessary detour, not a deviation from his agenda. He told Bade the stakes were too high to let media commentary dictate the course.

Trump dispatched with Kelly in a single line, noting, "she was critical of me for years, and I didn't lose. I won all three times by a lot." The point wasn't personal. It was structural.

Media criticism from the right didn't cost him in 2016, didn't cost him in 2020, and didn't cost him whatever mandate he carried into his current term. Voters decide what MAGA means, not cable news alumni.

Aaron Ruper Wiseguy Journalist

White House just humiliated this liberal hack after he tried to smear RFK Jr

Liberal hack Aaron Rupar jumped on the wrong story

Aaron Rupar – who has frequently been called out as a prime example of a left-wing activist masquerading as a journalist – had a field day when a pharmaceutical executive collapsed during President Trump's Oval Office announcement about lowering weight loss drug costs.

While others rushed to help the stricken man, Rupar saw political opportunity. "RFK Jr's response to someone collapsing nearby him was to haul ass out of the room as quickly as possible," Rupar posted to his 1.2 million followers on X.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, Administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, immediately sprang into action and caught Findlay before he hit the floor.

Oz helped lay the man down and elevated his legs in proper first aid protocol. But Rupar wasn't interested in the medical response playing out before the cameras. He wanted to paint Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as a coward who fled a medical emergency.

That's when White House Deputy Press Secretary Kush Desai stepped in with a devastating one-word correction.

"The Secretary rushed to get medical assistance while others tended to the man, you ghoul," Desai fired back at Rupar on Twitter.

Jasmine Crockett Clown 🤡 Show

Jasmine Crockett Charged with Assault — And Nobody’s Surprised

Well, well, well. Jasmine Crockett — the Democrat congresswoman who’s been threatening, mocking, and flailing her way through every microphone in Washington — has finally landed herself exactly where this train was always headed.

Yep. After weeks of headline-grabbing outbursts — wishing Elon Musk would be “taken down,” saying Ted Cruz needs to be “knocked over the head,” and mocking wheelchair-bound Governor Greg Abbott as “Governor Hot Wheels” — Crockett has now allegedly put her hands on a journalist.

Independent journalist Charles Downs was doing what journalists are supposed to do — asking questions — when Crockett smacked his phone mid-recording in a House office building. The footage clearly shows her reaching out and knocking the device away as Downs tries to ask about her involvement in an anti-Tesla activist call.

Downs has filed a police report with Capitol authorities and submitted an ethics complaint. And he’s not stopping there — his legal team is exploring assault, battery, and attempted theft charges.

The First Amendment, the protection of confidential sources, and a free press are her guiding principles

Catherine Herridge Breaks Her Silence with Powerful Statement at House Hearing

In a striking rebuke of the Biden DOJ’s assault on journalistic freedoms, Catherine Herridge faced down government overreach in the House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing, championing the Press Act while her own legal battle against compelled source disclosure unfolds.

Herridge, renowned for her work with Fox News and CBS News, delivered her opening statement on Thursday, marking her first public words since being embroiled in a significant First Amendment dispute.

One gigantic mistake she made was working for CBS as she soon got caught up in their lay-offs. The network took drastic measures by confiscating Herridge’s files, computers, and records, which included sensitive information on privileged sources according to reports.

Chilean/American Journalist who died while captured by Ukraine

J.D. Vance and Journalist Gonzalo Lira

Senator J.D. Vance has been a textbook ‘America First’ member of Congress since joining the Senate in January of 2023.

Earlier this year, he slammed Ukraine as America’s “welfare client” while accusing them of “executing” an American citizen, journalist Gonzalo Lira.

Not long before that, he thoroughly eviscerated the media for covering Trump’s response to the border invasion under President Biden, as opposed to the invasion itself.
I have a long memory. If you’re fighting Trump and his endorsed candidates politically today, don’t ask for my help in a year with your legislation or your pet projects.
— J.D. Vance (@JDVance1) March 2, 2024
Read about Gonzalo Lira and his shocking treatment in Ukraine as a war journalist.

What did the U.S. try to do to get him released? High-profile figures like tech mogul Elon Musk and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson called for his release, bringing global attention to his case to no avail.

Journalist harassed by FBI for sources

Texas Journalist’s Home Repeatedly Visited by ‘Corrupt’ FBI for Exposing Possible Hamas Training Camp Near US-Mexico Border

FBI Demands In-Person Meeting to Disclose ‘Sources’

The sanctity of a free press and the protection of journalistic sources have come under direct fire in the Lone Star State, according to Sarah Fields, Director of Advocacy for the Texas Freedom Coalition and a reporter for The Publica, after exposing the possible existence of a Hamas training camp near the US-Mexico border.

Fields recently made public a harrowing account of ‘corrupt’ FBI agents arriving unannounced at her doorstep—not once, but twice—in a brazen attempt to intimidate and extract information about her confidential sources.

It began on October 17th when, according to Fields, FBI agents appeared at her doorstep while she was away. She recounts that the agents later contacted her, insisting on a private meeting at their local office to discuss her reporting—particularly stories related to war and the border. Fields, true to the ethos of journalistic integrity, refused.

Award winning Journalist goes missing

Journalist Writing About Biden’s Afghan Disaster Goes Missing After FBI Raids Home

An Emmy Award-winning ABC News journalist hasn’t been seen in months. Besides a successful career in journalism, James Gordon Meek, 52, served as a senior counterterrorism adviser and investigator for the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee. He was also writing a book detailing one part of President Biden’s chaotic withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan.

Acclaimed national security reporter James Gordon Meek hasn’t been seen since an April FBI raid on his apartment outside Washington, DC.

Former colleagues at ABC News, a co-author on his forthcoming book, and even his neighbors say they have no idea where the documentary producer has been.

The worrying disappearance raises questions over whether the Biden administration has targeted or arrested the Journalist, a major test of the president, who made a point last year to put new safeguards in place protecting reporters during leak investigations.

The bottom line is, the FBI could find him or they know where he is.
