Auto Tariff Exemptions under consideration

Trump Considering Auto Tariff Exemptions, White House Confirms

The White House has confirmed that tariff exemptions for automakers are being considered, amid concerns over their economic impact.

President Donald Trump is considering potential tariff exemptions for automakers, a White House official confirmed to The Epoch Times on April 23, following weeks of intense lobbying by industry leaders warning of disruptions to supply chains and rising consumer costs.

Although the official did not provide specifics, the confirmation comes as automakers and suppliers voice growing concerns over the Trump administration’s 25 percent tariff on imported passenger vehicles and light trucks—effective April 3—and a similar 25 percent tariff on auto parts set to take effect by May 3.

The Alliance for Automotive Innovation, which represents nearly all major automakers, has been a leading voice in the pushback. In an earlier public statement, Alliance President and CEO John Bozzella warned that the new tariffs would ripple across the U.S. economy.

Despite broad opposition from manufacturers, the tariffs have drawn support from the United Automobile Workers (UAW) labor union. UAW President Shawn Fain said in a March 9 interview with ABC News that unbalanced trade with countries like Canada and Mexico has led to the loss of roughly 90,000 manufacturing facilities in the United States over the past three decades.

Lake Worth Beach a Hot Bed for Vehicle Theft

Vehicle Theft every week in Lake Worth Beach

These criminals don't care whether it's broad daylight, whether your car has an alarm system or even if parked at night under a street light. They are brazen and they are getting away with the thefts. YouTube has videos teaching them how to steal Kias and Google must be held accountable and responsible. Democrats, don't tell me it's "free speech."

It's impossible to discern whether the time of day is when it was reported to PBSO or when it actually occurred.

This shows what happened yesterday and I only get notices of two square miles around where I live.

Outrageous car insurance premiums--blame it on Biden

Hidden factors driving up car insurance created by Biden

Car accidents have been on the rise since 2021 and one of the factors for that could be the more than seven million illegal aliens who poured into the country under Biden.

Illegal aliens are almost always driving without a license and car insurance when they are behind the wheel.

The cost of the accidents involving them is being absorbed by drivers who play by the rules.

And the country has seen historic numbers of vehicle thefts during Biden’s Presidency.

The number of cars stolen crossed the one million threshold in the U.S. for the first time in 2022.

That $6.6 billion cost of stolen vehicles results in more losses that insurers must pay out.

Soft-on-crime policies in Democrat-controlled cities have fueled a surge in the number of organized vehicle theft groups.

Drivers are paying a steep price for the failed policies of Joe Biden.

Deployed Marines' cars towed and sold

Company forced to repay deployed Marines after illegally repossessing their vehicles

The Justice Department alleges the company violated the Service members Civil Relief Act

A North Carolina towing company is paying close to a $70,000 settlement after being accused of repossessing and selling vehicles that belonged to deployed U.S. Marines.

The Justice Department announced Tuesday that Billy Joe Goines, owner and operator of Goines Towing & Recovery, has reached a settlement with the government over alleged violations of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) from his towing and selling vehicles without properly disclosing to the courts that they were owned by service members.

"Service members sacrifice a lot — and, in many cases, everything," Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division said in a press release.

“No. We’re not going to stop making police cars. Now get back to work.”

Employees Demand No More Police Vehicles, Ford CEO’s Answer Was Perfect

A group of Ford staff members demanded the vehicle giant stop making police cars, declaring they are “used as accessories to police brutality and oppression.” When Ford’s CEO stepped in and made the company’s stance crystal clear.

The anti-police motion has actually done a great deal of damage as cities that bowed to “defund the police” have actually experienced an increasing of criminal offense.

Where did all these brainwashed people come from?

Car Thefts On the Rise

West Lake Worth communities concerned after series of car burglaries, thefts

'You shouldn’t have to live in fear in your own home,' resident says

Let's be thankful it is not happening in our community. I remember years ago, there was a surge of vehicle thefts in the City of Lake Worth Beach. The car theft ring was tracked down by our own Lake Worth Police Department and arrests made. My mother's car was stolen at Lakeside Point Gardens where we have a smorgasbord of parked cars. It was found on 2nd Avenue North, stripped for parts.

Cars with keyless entry systems--thieves are capable of searching for a wireless key fob that is within a couple feet of the vehicle. Car thieves can use a $17 "power amplifier" to boost the key searching capabilities, sometimes up to around 100 meters, and pull off a high-tech car break-in. I read where some people are putting their car keys in their freezer.

Five Secret Service Rented Vehicles went up in a Blaze

Wait Wut? So The Media Is Going To Ignore Crazy Biden Secret Service Detail Incident

First of all, I never thought about the Secret Service renting vehicles...for some reason, that detail slipped my mind. But of course, this must be routine when the President is out of Washington, D.C.

Rather odd that all of the rented vehicles caught fire at the same time, doncha think?

Footage shows firefighters spraying down the smoldering remains of one vehicle’s engine block. The five vehicles included a Chevy Suburban, Ford Explorer, Infiniti QX80, Ford Expedition, and a Jeep Gladiator.

The vehicles were parked at the Nantucket airport and the blaze reportedly spread to just 40 feet away from the facility’s jet fuel tanks. It is currently unknown what caused the fire. [FreedomHerald]

The government wouldn't be covering this up, would it? Nah.
