Email Evidence Surfaces About Comey and the FBI

The man at the center of this scandal? James Comey, the former FBI Director whose name seems to pop up more often than a bad penny.

According to these freshly unearthed emails, it appears Comey might have been playing fast and loose with the truth on a FISA application. Now, for those of you who don’t spend your free time deciphering government acronyms, FISA stands for Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. It’s a big deal because it’s supposed to protect Americans from being spied on without darn good reason.

Here’s where it gets juicy. The Democrats, bless their hearts, have been shouting “Russia!” from the rooftops like it’s going out of style, clinging to the Steele Dossier as if it were gospel.

But this email from Comey to James Clapper suggests he knew the dossier was about as reliable as a chocolate teapot. Despite this, Comey went ahead and signed a FISA application swearing up, down, and sideways that the information was verified. If irony were strawberries, we’d all be eating a lot of shortcakes right now.
