U.S. months behind China in Hypersonic Missile System

US Way Behind Schedule For Key Weapons Tech Already Used By China

"The U.S. military is still months behind on its hypersonic missile program, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) said in a report released Monday, as China is ramping up its own hypersonic testing.

Hypersonic missile systems are capable of taking evasive measures mid-flight and moving at speeds up to 7,000 miles an hour — five times the speed of sound.

Already plagued by delays, the U.S. Army will likely not be able to make its first-ever hypersonic weapons system combat-ready until at least fiscal year 2025, which begins on Oct. 1, according to the GAO report.

U.S. intelligence has previously warned that China is currently leading the pack in terms of hypersonic capabilities, while the U.S. program has struggled with operational problems and delays, according to Bloomberg.

By 2018, China had conducted more than 20 times as many hypersonic tests as the U.S., according to a February report from the Congressional Research Service."

The House Oversight Committee has referred Hunter Biden and Joe Biden’s brother James to the Department of Justice for criminal prosecution on charges they lied to Congress.

In addition, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) signed the letter to the DOJ.

The letter stated, Today [they] sent criminal referrals to the DOJ recommending Hunter and James Biden be charged with making false statements to Congress about key aspects of the impeachment inquiry of President Joe Biden.”

DOJ's Obstruction Attempt Won't Work

Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., told Newsmax that the latest attempt from the Department of Justice to obstruct the House Oversight Committee's probe into the Biden family will not work.

Appearing Friday on "Eric Bolling The Balance," Comer, chair of the Oversight Committee, slammed Attorney General Merrick Garland for selecting David C. Weiss as special counsel for the DOJ investigation of Hunter Biden's business dealings.

"This is another example of this Department of Justice being weaponized — trying to do everything in their ability to obstruct congressional investigations," he stressed. "But it's not going to obstruct our investigations. We're going to continue to move forward."

Comer said the primary purpose of appointing the special counsel is to prevent the Oversight Committee from accessing the necessary records to prove its case in court.

A special counsel is an attorney appointed to investigate and possibly prosecute a case. The cases are typically ones that the Justice Department believes it has a conflict with or with significant public interest, so it requires someone outside of the government to take responsibility.

This is all about protecting Joe Biden.

DEA Administrator Anne Milgram said over the weekend that Congress needs to pass some sort of legislation to crack down on social media companies for allegedly not doing enough to stop the sale of fentanyl on their platforms.

Milgram told NBC News’ Chuck Todd on “Meet The Press” that social media is what she calls “the last mile.”

“The border’s an important part of this conversation because most of the fentanyl that we see coming into the United States is coming in through the southwest border,” she said. “Social media is also a vital part of the conversation. It is what I call the last mile. Because what the cartels need – they’re selling the deadliest poison we’ve ever seen – they need that to … be able to expand and sell more, they need to be able to reach people at massive rates. And that’s what social media’s doing.”

Ongoing Debt Ceiling

Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy met Monday after a weekend of on again, off again negotiations over raising the nation’s debt ceiling and mere days before the government could reach a “hard deadline” and run out of cash to pay its bills.

The two sides are working to reach a budget compromise before June 1, when Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has said the country could default.

McCarthy and Republicans are insisting on spending cuts in exchange for raising the debt limit. Biden has come to the negotiating table after balking for months but says the GOP lawmakers will have to back off their “extreme positions.”

Republicans are the only ones who have come up with a solution to reduce our debt.

Rep. Van Drew Calls to Impeach ‘Crooked’ Biden

Using former President Donald Trump’s new nickname for President Joe Biden, Rep. Jeff Van Drew, a politician who saw the light, formerly a Democrat but has been a member of the Republican Party since 2020, called for crooked Joe to be impeached for all the things that he and his “crooked family” have done.

“Joe Biden’s son can’t even obey the laws that his father wants him to put in dealing with guns and Second Amendment rights,” Van Drew declared during an appearance on Newsmax on Saturday.

“Anybody else would be in a lot of trouble; the misdemeanors he has, the tax evasion he has, the corporations that were set up where money was laundered not to one, not to three, not to even nine, but 12 different Biden family members getting money from communist China and not only communist China, the energy companies that are there, but also getting money from Ukraine and other areas and some countries that are even worse,” he continued.

Van Drew predicted that the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into Hunter Biden’s business dealings will reveal even more “crooked stuff.”

White House officials and Democratic lawmakers have emphasized Biden’s plan to reduce the deficit largely through higher taxes on the wealthy.

But the proposal is as much a political document as an actual tax-and-spending plan. Congress is in charge of writing the federal budget, and Biden’s budget will be dead on arrival the minute it lands on Capitol Hill.

GOP leaders say they won’t raise the debt ceiling unless Biden agrees to cut spending.

Biden’s budget blueprint got a big thumbs down from the U. S. Chamber of Commerce.

Neil Bradley, the business group’s head of policy, called the plan a “recipe for economic and fiscal disaster.” Instead of proposing new spending and taxes, Bradley said, the administration should work with Congress to cut spending and lower the federal debt.
