Joe Manchin slams Democrats on his way out the door

Joe Manchin called Democrats one unthinkable name that left Kamala Harris seeing red

Joe Manchin was the last of the red state Democrats.

He’s free to speak his mind now that he’s leaving the Senate.

And Joe Manchin called Democrats one unthinkable name that left Kamala Harris seeing red.

U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (I-WV) decided to retire rather than run for re-election in deep red West Virginia. He is the last of a dying breed of red state Democrats who could pretend to be moderate enough to get elected.

Manchin became an independent in May 2024 after spending decades as a member of the Democrat Party. It takes some Democrats a little longer to see the light.

He called the Democrat Party “toxic” during an interview with CNN host Manu Raju on Inside Politics.

Joe Walks and then he Talks

Manchin Finally Reveals Why He Ditched the Democrats

Their Brand Became Extreme and Toxic

The Democratic Party, once the dominant force in Washington, is now in disarray. Despite holding the presidency for the last four years, it suffered a crushing defeat in the recent election. Donald Trump’s triumphant return to the White House exposed the cracks within the party.

Voters rejected the Democrats’ progressive agenda, and the fallout has been catastrophic. Major cities remain plagued by crime and homelessness, inflation is squeezing wallets, and party leaders seem more focused on divisive cultural battles than on solving real problems.

Now, the party is bleeding leaders. Top figures are jumping ship, signaling a crisis of confidence in its future. One of the biggest names to make headlines is Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia.

Once a loyal Democrat from a family with deep party ties, Manchin has left the fold. And he’s not just walking away quietly—he’s telling everyone exactly why.

Joe Manchin gives Critical Analysis of Biden's Advisory During Pandemic

Manchin Criticizes Biden's Advisers Over Policy Decisions

Outgoing Independent Sen. Joe Manchin unleashed sharp criticism against President Biden's economic advisers during a period of significant policy decisions.

According to Fox News, Manchin targeted 17 Nobel laureates who advised Biden during the COVID-19 pandemic, labeling them as "educated idiots" who provided guidance that led to presidential blind spots on critical issues, including inflation, immigration, and Afghanistan.

The West Virginia senator's comments emerged during his appearance on CBS's "The Takeout" podcast on Friday. In it, he reflected on his attempts to promote bipartisan cooperation during the American Rescue Plan negotiations.

Manchin, who recently switched from Democrat to Independent, emphasized his early warnings about the economic consequences of extended unemployment benefits and stimulus measures.

Joe Manchin criticized both political parties

Joe Manchin Reveals Whether Trump Can Win Again

In a recent interview on Fox News’ “One Nation,” Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia expressed his belief that former President Donald Trump could potentially secure a victory in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

As a Democrat from a predominantly red state, Manchin’s views often diverge from typical party lines, reflecting his constituency’s more moderate or conservative leanings.

During the interview, Manchin criticized the current trajectory of both major political parties in the United States, suggesting that the Republican Party needs to “make it grand again” and the Democratic Party needs to be “made responsible again.”

His commentary points to his perception that both parties have strayed into extremism and have lost touch with the practical concerns of everyday Americans.

The senator also shared his concerns about the nation’s direction with President Biden, particularly warning against an over-reliance on government aid which he fears could shift the national ethos away from the self-reliance championed by John F. Kennedy.

Biden packing the courts

Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., said he will not support President Joe Biden's judicial picks who don't have any Republican support.

Manchin, who's not seeking reelection this fall and will retire from the Senate, spoke to Politico after voting against several judicial picks this week.

"Just one Republican. That's all I'm asking for. Give me something bipartisan. This is my own little filibuster," Manchin said. "If they can't get one Republican, I vote for none. I've told [Democrats] that. I said, 'I'm sick and tired of it, I can't take it anymore.'"

Manchin expressed a similar sentiment to CNN when asked about Adeel Mangi, Biden's nominee for the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, who would be the first Muslim-American on a federal appeals court.

Mangi sat on the board of an organization (Center for Security, Race, and Rights at Rutgers) that "produced several extremist programs, featured speakers with ties to known terrorist organizations, and sponsored lectures brazenly touting antisemitic themes," National Review said.

EPA Toughest Rules Ever

Biden EPA Announces Toughest-Ever Rules for Power Plant Emissions

After weeks of buildup, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) unveiled its strictest-ever rules for power produced using natural gas, coal, and oil that could spur the use of carbon capture technologies.

The standards released on May 11 would impact new and old power infrastructure, including new natural gas turbines and the country’s existing coal fleet. Though the United States still has hundreds of coal plants, the number of such installations has fallen sharply during the past decade.

Ahead of the EPA’s May 11 announcement, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) threw down the gauntlet on the looming proposals.

“I fear that this Administration’s commitment to their extreme ideology overshadows their responsibility to ensure long-lasting energy and economic security and I will oppose all EPA nominees until they halt their government overreach,” the lawmaker, who represents a conservative, fossil-fuel producing state, said in a May 10 statement.

Manchin gets played

Joe Manchin TURNS on Dems… Calls BULLSH**

"Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) is not happy with his fellow Democrats.

Manchin broke several promises to help Joe Biden get his massive spending bills passed. He did so to try to get a pipeline in place in West Virginia.

After he betrayed his supporters, Manchin was then betrayed, and now he is looking for payback.

Virtually the entire Democrat Party is trying to end the fossil fuel industry. For Manchin, that is not acceptable because it would crush West Virginia’s economy. Manchin stated, “This is bulls–t.

“So, they’re going to basically starve us out of energy that we have a tremendous, abundant supply of because of their aspirational thoughts.

“I will continue to fight, and I’ll do everything I can to make sure the public knows what they’re doing and what it will do to you and your economy and your lifestyle.”

Biden has also screwed him on electric vehicle credits, now asking for more stringent requirements before allowing the credits. Manchin stated that he has been “raising hell” over this, but it is all falling on deaf ears.

Manchin got played."

Sure took him long enough to know he was going to get screwed.

Lease Sale 257 is reinstated and high bidders must get their lease

Biden Revives Biggest Offshore Oil, Gas Lease Sale in US History

Has anyone heard about this on the mainstream news? NO? It's because no one knew what the hell is in the bill.

When President Joe Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law on Aug. 16, his signature opened the door to reinstating the largest oil and gas lease sale in U.S. history, which had been blocked by a court because of climate impact concerns.

The legislation contains a provision that reinstates the previously halted Lease Sale 257, the biggest offshore oil and gas lease in U.S. history, spanning nearly 81 million acres in the Gulf of Mexico.

Lease Sale 257, which sold at auction for $192 million in March 2019, was challenged by environmental groups, which argued that the sale violated federal law by relying on an inadequate environmental impact review that failed to accurately consider greenhouse gas emissions.

The law requires the government to reinstate $192 million in leases in the Gulf of Mexico that were blocked by another court ruling last year. And it requires two more sales in the Gulf and one in Alaska before October 2023. Those sales had been canceled under Biden. The provision reviving them was inserted into the law at the insistence of West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin, an advocate for fossil fuels.

Manchin being coy on Mid-Term 2022 and General Election 2024

WHOA: Manchin Refuses to Rule Out Voting Republican in 2024

Team Biden suffered yet another embarrassing blow on the domestic front over the weekend, this one being delivered by Senator Manchin of West Virginia, a persistent thorn in Biden’s side due to his refusal to back some of the worse Democrat ideas, particularly on the spending front.

This time, Manchin embarrassed Biden by saying, during an interview with ABC’s John Karl, that he couldn’t even rule out voting Republican in 2024, an election that Biden is seemingly planning on running in despite his advanced age and terrible year and a half as president.

Can't believe he voted for The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. He believes this won't cause more inflation!

Time running out for Biden to pass major spending bill

Sen. Joe Manchin cools on spending negotiations, citing fears of an 'inflation fire'

"Just when Democrats seemed closer to reviving parts of President Joe Biden's stalled domestic agenda, Sen. Joe Manchin pumped the breaks Wednesday.

The West Virginia Democrat – whose vote is critical for a bill the White House is waiting on – issued a blistering statement on soaring inflation, casting doubt about how far he's willing to go in a spending package. Without Manchin, the Biden administration's plans to address climate change, overhaul taxes and lower prescription drug prices hang in the balance."

"This is b******t. You’re b******t. I’m done, I’m done. Guys, I’m not negotiating with any of you all. You can ask all the questions you want.

Guys, let me go." he told the press as he walked through the basement of the Capitol, muttering ‘God almighty’ as he walked away.

Socialism and Doom with Biden Socialist Policies

CBO Report: 'Build Back Better' Could Cost $3 Trillion Over Next Decade if Permanent

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released an analysis on Friday estimating that President Joe Biden's 'Build Back Better' (BBB) plan could increase the federal deficit by $3 trillion over the next decade if the proposed programs are made permanent, according to CNN.

A Democrat who is not a socialist, Sen.Joe Manchin, accused the Biden administration of using "gimmicks" to downplay the bill's price. "As more of the real details outlined in the basic framework are released, what I see are shell games and budget gimmicks that make the real cost of this so-called '$1.75 trillion' bill estimated to be twice as high if the programs are extended or made permanent," Manchin said.

Schumer Fumes And Biden Is Stunned After Reports Confirm Dem Senator Joins GOP To CANCEL Joe’s Mandate

Democrat Senator Joe Manchin announced that he is going to vote with Republicans to kill Biden’s vaccine mandate for private businesses.

Joe Manchin--Man of the Hour

Sen. Manchin Urges Biden to Restore Keystone XL Pipeline

Well, thank God for one Democrat who is looking out for America and not obsessed with climate change to the detriment of our economy.

"I continue to call on President Biden to responsibly increase energy production here at home and to reverse course to allow the Keystone XL pipeline to be built which would have provided our country with up to 900,000 barrels of oil per day from Canada, one of our closest allies," he said.

"To be clear, this is about American energy independence and the fact that hard-working Americans should not depend on foreign actors, like OPEC+, for our energy security and instead focus on the real challenges facing our country's future."

A Democrat with some Sense?

Joe Manchin Demands Clarity On Biden Agenda Bill, Potentially Imperiling Multitrillion-Dollar Package

"Manchin said that he wouldn’t support the Build back Better Act if it increased social programs significantly and added to the nation’s $29 trillion national debt. The senator stated that he wouldn’t support the bill if it hurt American families suffering from historical inflation.

The cost of the package has been whittled down from its original $3.5 trillion price tag to $1.75 trillion over a decade. Despite the drop in cost, it is opposed by Republicans, so Democrats are trying to enact the plan through a budgetary process called reconciliation, which would allow it to clear the Senate solely with Democratic support.

Manchin warned Democrats that Biden’s spending packages would be rejected and that his vote in opposition to the bill would cause it to be blocked in Congress’s upper chamber, as Democrats have only a 50-50 majority of the Senate. He said he would vote for any spending package that moves America forward but would reject anything that hurts the country more."

Joe Manchin on the Filibuster

Senator Manchin pointed out that he and 33 Democrats signed a pledge in 2017 to preserve the filibuster. They did this realizing that the brinksmanship started by then-Majority Leader Reid set-off a destructive precedent that stands to destroy the Senate as a deliberative body.

If the filibuster is eliminated then the Senate might as well be dissolved as it will have no definitive, formative difference between it and the House other than term length and slightly differing responsibilities. The Senate would become no different than a select committee.
