"I love the Inflation"

Democrats strip Trump's inflation remarks from context as president reveals Strait of Hormuz operation

President Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday that he "loves the inflation", and within hours, Democratic leaders had clipped the quote, stripped it of context, and blasted it across social media.

What they left out was everything that followed the word "inflation": a detailed account of a military operation against Iranian oil shipments, a claim that more than 100 million barrels of oil had been pushed through the Strait of Hormuz, and a prediction that prices would collapse once the conflict ends.

The full exchange, as CBS News reported, began when a reporter asked Trump whether he was concerned that the Consumer Price Index had risen to an annual rate of 4.2%, up from 3.8% the prior month and the highest reading since April 2023.

Trump's answer was not a celebration of grocery prices. It was a pivot to what he described as a previously undisclosed military campaign against Iran's oil infrastructure and shipping capacity, one he said explained why oil sat at $85 a barrel and why he expected prices to fall sharply once the operation concluded.

What Trump actually said--The president's full remarks in the Oval Office went well beyond the four-word clip Democrats circulated. Trump told the reporter:
"The numbers were great. You know what I really love? I love the inflation. You know why? Because as soon as this war is over. You know, I can say it now, something you didn't know. Did you know we've been taking out millions of barrels of oil? Nobody knows it. You know who doesn't know about it? Iran, until right now. We took out the other night, 22 ships. Late at night, with no lights. Because they don't have any radar because we blasted the crap out of it. We took out. That's why oil's $85 a barrel."

The Federal Reserve' s Shadow Government

Powell’s shadow Fed majority could threaten jobs, housing and growth

Jay Powell lost the chairmanship. He may still control the reaction function

PETER NAVARRO: Kevin Warsh has now been sworn in as the new Federal Reserve chair. Outgoing Chair Jerome Powell has refused to leave the Fed Board of Governors, breaking with the modern custom that departing Fed chairs leave the Board rather than linger as rival power centers.

The clear danger: Powell will have enough board support to act as Fed shadow chair and force a series of rate hikes down Warsh’s throat.

Never mind that even a single rate hike would be the worst possible response to an oil-price shock. Never mind that two of Jay Powell’s predecessors understood the difference between demand inflation and an oil shock.

When Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990, Alan Greenspan understood that an oil shock can both raise headline inflation and damage growth. His FOMC repeatedly cut the federal-funds rate as the economy weakened.

When oil, foodstuffs, fertilizers and industrial metals all moved sharply higher in 2008 — driven by booming emerging-market demand, constrained supply, thin spare capacity and speculative flows — Ben Bernanke’s Fed likewise cut the federal-funds rate in April. He then held steady in June and refused to launch a recessionary rate-hike campaign into prices the Fed could not drill, refine, mine, plant or ship away.

That is the looming central error. The Fed cannot produce one extra barrel of oil. It cannot reopen a shipping lane. It cannot refine gasoline. It cannot lower diesel costs by crushing mortgage demand in Ohio or forcing a small manufacturer in Pennsylvania to roll over credit at punitive rates.

A Fed rate hike now would rein in demand in response to a supply shock and hit precisely where the economy is already vulnerable. Housing would weaken further. Interest-sensitive manufacturing would suffer.

Small-business credit would tighten. Financial conditions would tighten just as energy prices are eating real incomes. The dollar could strengthen, pressuring exporters.

Tariff Derangement Syndrome

Media’s Trump Tariff Inflation Fear Mongering Turns Out To Be Total Dud

Corporate media repeatedly predicted that President Donald Trump’s tariffs would lead to price hikes —only for those forecasts to be repeatedly proven wrong.

Trump imposed steep reciprocal tariffs on numerous countries on April 2 before announcing a 90-day pause that lowered most of them to a 10% baseline. Despite the 10% duties and persistent media warnings, inflation has not surged.

For instance, ABC News on March 26 cited “experts” to report that fresh tariffs “would ratchet up the global trade war, raising prices for an array of consumer goods and risking an economic slowdown.” While a May 13 CNBC piece acknowledged that inflation had “eased” in April despite the tariffs, it warned prices could rise as the duties took hold.

However, inflation also rose less than expected in May, falling to a four-year low.

“I think that a lot of Democrats are in favor of tariffs, but now that President Trump is leading the charge, they can’t be,” Bessent said. “And so they call them the Trump tariffs. And all these predictions have just been baseless and a flop — and nobody wants to admit it.”

Senator Kennedy speaks to Explosion in Federal Spending

Musk and DOGE are undertaking the biggest revolution in government since 1776

“A lot of this money that we’re spending, things that we’re spending money on, are just money sucks. They’re spending porn. We’d be better off spending this money on scratch tickets and blackjack,” Kennedy said.

Inflation occurs when too much money chases too few goods.

And Kennedy told Pirro that as long as federal spending remains out of control, there is no chance to give the American people relief from Joe Biden’s inflation crisis.

“We will never get prices down and control inflation until we deregulate the economy so goods and services will cost less, until we design a tax code that looks like somebody designed it on purpose, and until we control spending. That’s just Econ 101,” Kennedy remarked.

“A billion dollars for a simple online survey — ‘Do you like the National Park?,’ and then there appeared to be no feedback loop for what would be done with that survey,” Musk told Baier. “So the survey would just go into nothing. It was insane.”

Kennedy put into context the explosion in federal spending under Joe Biden saying it was 27 times the population growth.

“Since 2019, America’s population is up 2%. Spending’s up 55%. President Biden’s favorite type of spending was more,” Kennedy added.

Allen West on Kamala Harris who has no regrets

Greetings, everyone. Leave it up to Kamala Harris to tell you who she is definitively.

Recall the interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, where the Vice President stated that "her values have not changed." This was her response to the question about flipping on many issues from her 2019 failed Democrat presidential primary endeavor.

Last week, during a visit with the women of The View, Harris was asked if she would change anything done over the past three and a half years. Her response was, "I have no regrets." No regrets about this?

J.D. Vance on Kamala

J.D. Vance spotted one unexpected problem Kamala Harris is facing

MSNBC hosts laughably claimed that she turned in one of the best debate performances in human history.

BUT EVERY ANSWER WAS A LIE!

U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) appeared in the spin room after the debate where he revealed something missing from it.

ABC’s moderators ignored the kitchen table issues that voters are worried about this year.

“This debate didn’t talk nearly enough about the fact that Americans are struggling because they can’t afford groceries, they can’t afford housing, and their kids are dying of fentanyl overdoses because Kamala Harris has let the Mexican drug cartels take over the southern border,” Vance said.

Inflation, the top issue to many voters, was barely mentioned during the 90-minute debate.

Media attempts to defend lying Harris

Host Rips Dem Pollster for Defending Harris’ ‘Incompetent’ Economic Plans!

The liberal media has been trying to defend Vice President Kamala Harris’ economic plans, but their arguments hold no water.

Fox Business host Elizabeth MacDonald tore into Democratic pollster Carly Cooperman on Monday as she tried to spin the issues of inflation and job growth under the Biden-Harris administration.

MacDonald first pointed out Harris’ lack of a legitimate economic plan, despite being in office for four years. She showed clips of Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, avoiding direct answers to specific questions about how they will handle inflation.

MacDonald also criticized the fact that Harris became the Democratic nominee without actually winning a primary, questioning why Democratic voters are okay with having a candidate they did not even vote for.

Cooperman attempted to defend Harris, claiming that inflation has gone down and job growth remains strong. However, MacDonald was quick to shut down that argument by pointing out the real numbers. She highlighted the fact that under the Biden-Harris administration, inflation has increased by 22%, compared to only 6.7% under the Trump administration.

Kamala Harris’ record on inflation, immigration, and national defense “sucks.”

John Kennedy just swatted Kamala Harris down with a devastating nickname

Senator John Kennedy’s folksy speaking style makes him one of the most quotable Republicans.

Kennedy trained his rhetorical fire on Kamala Harris.

And John Kennedy just swatted Kamala Harris down with a devastating nickname and slammed Kamala Harris for avoiding any policy discussions.

Kennedy explained that keeping the campaign message about concepts meant Kamala Harris could run as a change candidate, whereas running on policy would force her to take ownership of the failures of the last four years.

“Well, the reason, I think, that Ms. Harris talks about abstractions like the rule of law, like freedom, like joy, like opportunity, is because she can’t talk about a record,” Kennedy began.

Kennedy mocked Kamala Harris as an “inflation machine.”

Inflationary Depression under Harris

Kamala Harris just got a powerful blow on the chin from a major employer

Kamala Harris’ economic plan is a disaster

It’s essentially the Joe Biden plan, but worse. Everyday Americans are hurting.

They have been feeling the squeeze of 40-year-high inflation thanks to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. People cannot objectively say that they’re better off when they go to the grocery store or the gas station.

When Americans have to cut back, they look for deals anywhere they can. Discount stores like Dollar General become essential. And a Dollar General executive confessed on an earnings call that the current economy is not in good shape.

The Department of Labor recently revised down the jobs numbers by a shocking 818,000, the biggest downward revision in history. The Biden-Harris administration is fudging the numbers. On top of that, many of the job gains have been from illegal alien labor.

Economist rips Kamala Harris for causing inflation

A Trump advisor revealed the one terrible mistake Kamala Harris made that will haunt her

Kamala Harris has been riding a lucky streak since she entered the race. That’s all about to come to an end.

And a Trump advisor revealed the one terrible mistake Kamala Harris made that will haunt her.

Kamala can’t tout the Biden-Harris administration’s economic record, but she can’t attack it either because she was there every step of the way.
  • She cast the two tie-breaking votes in the United States Senate for those multi-trillion dollar spending bills that caused the inflation in the first place
  • Kamala was the tie-breaking vote in the Senate as Vice President during the first two years of the Biden Presidency when the chamber was at an even 50-50 split
  • She cast the decisive vote for the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan in early 2021 that sent inflation soaring to four-decade highs
  • The bill was sold as pandemic relief, but 90% of it went to pork and handouts to left-wing special interests
  • Kamala falsely claimed that the American Rescue Plan wouldn’t increase inflation.
She claims she’s running for President to lower prices for families. But Kamala Harris is the reason the country is in the mess in the first place.

Biden/Harris are responsible for it all

'It's nuts!' Charles Payne of Fox Business unloads on Biden-Harris economic policies as market tanks

'What you're seeing right now is what Americans have been feeling for the past 3 years. It's just a manifestation of it right now'

Fox Business anchor Charles Payne criticized the economic policies enacted by the Biden-Harris administration on Monday as the stock market plummeted at the beginning of trading.

The U.S. stock market had its worst opening since 2021 on Monday as the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 dropped as much as 3% and 3.4% after a Friday jobs report revealed that the unemployment rate climbed to 4.3%, according to NBC News.

Payne said President Joe Biden's administration policies directly resulted in the current global market downfall.

"This is not because of a once-in-a-century element that no one saw coming and had to lock down an entire global economy. This is because of policies that triggered 40-year high inflation that have now taken a massive toll on the economy," Payne said on Fox News' "America's Newsroom."

Banking Industry going through hard times thanks to Biden's inflation

FDIC Problem Bank List: 63 Banks Now on Watch in 2024

Too big to fail?

The FDIC is not telling us what banks are on their watch list...confidentiality they say. This is not helpful to us, the consumer, but it avoids a run on the bank.

"Here's a breakdown of what it is and how it works:
  • Confidentiality: The list itself is not publicly available, which allows the FDIC to work with troubled banks discreetly to help them improve their condition.
  • Identification Process: Banks are assigned a CAMELS rating by FDIC examiners. This rating looks at various aspects of the bank's health, including Capital, Assets, Management, Earnings, and Liquidity. Scores range from 1 (best) to 5 (worst). Banks with CAMELS ratings of 4 or 5 are placed on the Problem Bank List.
  • FDIC Intervention: If a bank remains on the Problem List and their situation doesn't improve, the FDIC may take steps to intervene. This could involve selling the bank to a healthier institution or taking control and liquidating it, with insured deposits being paid back to depositors.

As we move through 2024, the U.S. banking system faces significant challenges, with reports indicating a staggering $517 billion in unrealized losses threatening the stability of 63 banks. This situation has brought the health of the entire system under intense scrutiny, raising concerns about potential insolvency and the broader implications for the economy.

My bank, Wells Fargo, leads the pack with at least 88 bank closure filings, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. They closed our wonderful branch on Lake and Federal and we have been forced to use their branch on North Dixie. I continue to do business with them as I have been with them when I started banking here, first at The Mall Bank which was taken over by Wachovia and that one taken over by Wells Fargo.

Wells Fargo is one of the country’s oldest banks, with a history spanning over 160 years. In the last few years, the bank has been rocked by several scandals, beginning with a large-scale attempt to artificially boost its number of accounts — followed by hefty fines, legal fees and a $1.95 trillion cap on its assets. But it remains one of the largest banks in the U.S.

My thinking has always been, too big to fail. I might be in fantasy land.

Average American Struggling under Biden

The End of America if We Don’t Stop Him. From Act for America.

"Since Biden assumed office, prices have surged by a staggering 19.9% from a low of 1.4%, pushing essential goods and services out of reach for hardworking families nationwide.

These numbers are staggering, and every American deserves the truth. Many are dismissed, told their feelings of being worse off under Biden are just perceptions; but the reality is far more dire. The majority of Americans are struggling to stay afloat as the prices of all goods and services have skyrocketed. It's not just a feeling; it's a harsh reality affecting families nationwide, especially those who are surviving paycheck-to-paycheck. Everyone should understand that their struggles are valid; and that they are shared by countless others.

>>>>The Bottom Line is that Americans are spending $12,800 MORE annually to buy the basics compared to three years ago, due to “Bidenflation;’ and that is half the income of the over 92 million Americans (28%) living on $32K or less. That is 20% of the income of roughly 243 million (73%) of the American middle class workers.

“BIDENOMICS” BY THE NUMBERS: Americans are paying more for just about everything because of inflation since the “Puppet-of-the-Left” took office. Read and let the following “sink in:”

AND IN JUST ONE YEAR, FROM APRIL, 2023 TO APRIL, 2024, THE PRICES FOR THE FOLLOWING GOODS INCREASED:
Frozen non-carbonated juices and drinks are UP 29.2%
Motor vehicle insurance is UP 22.6%
Transportation services are UP 11.2%

>>>>>>> Real average weekly wages are DOWN 4.4% since Biden took office.

We can and ABSOLUTELY MUST end this crisis at the ballot box this November by electing Donald J Trump."

Pie-in-the-sky liberal economics has once again been mugged by reality

Bidenomics has finally gone into full effect

and it turns out that you need to do more to fight inflation than pass a massive spending bill called “The Inflation Reduction Act.”

Stocks dropped sharply on Wednesday after March inflation data showed that the prices Americans pay for everyday goods increased much higher than anticipated.

The news likely means that the Federal Reserve will likely delay interest rate cuts that investors have been hoping for.

CNBC reported that “investor sentiment was further dampened following the release of March’s Fed meeting minutes, which reflected officials’ concerns that inflation isn’t moving quickly enough toward the central bank’s 2% target.

We have SERIOUS problems--Biden doesn't see it

Biden only concerned with Distractions

In recent news, President Joe Biden has once again come under fire for his failure to address the pressing issues facing the country. Many have criticized his policies for exacerbating problems, such as the struggling economy and the crisis at the southern border.

Instead of taking real action to address these issues, Biden has been accused of engaging in distractions and trivial matters.

One issue that has particularly irked the public is Biden’s handling of inflation. Many have called for the president to cut excessive spending in order to combat rising prices. However, Biden has shown no signs of slowing down his spending, which has sparked frustration among Americans. Instead, he has chosen to focus on more trivial matters, such as “shrinkflation” and “junk fees” in the food delivery industry.

Biden recently took to social media to voice his concern over the rising cost of food delivery services. In his post, he appeared to be out of touch with reality as he acted as if he had just discovered the existence of delivery fees.

This sparked even more criticism, with people questioning whether or not Biden has actually used food delivery apps in the past decade.

"If you believe the polls, the President is polling right up there with chlamydia"

Biden Poll numbers are right up there

Sean Hannity’s jaw hit the floor when John Kennedy revealed this truth about Joe Biden

Joe Biden’s blunder-filled Presidency has turned him into a national punchline.

When he faces voters he won’t be able to hide from his catastrophic failures. And Sean Hannity’s jaw hit the floor when John Kennedy revealed this truth about Joe Biden.

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) appeared on Hannity where he compared President Joe Biden’s sagging poll numbers to a sexually transmitted disease (STD).

He and Fox News host Sean Hannity were discussing the dismal state of the Biden economy as Americans continue to deal with inflation. Hannity noted that Biden has resorted to the desperate strategy of trying to blame anyone and everything but himself for the problems he created.

“Unless you were homeschooled by a day drinker, you can see that shrinkflation and inflation are just different sides of the same coin,” Kennedy continued.
