Who Allowed Iran’s Foreign Minister To Visit New York and Deliver Threats at the United Nations?

It turns out that President Biden’s policy on Iran is failing to catch up with his rhetoric.

As the Islamic Republic of Iran has been amping up its aggression against Israeli targets and American troops, the Biden administration allowed Tehran’s foreign minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, to visit New York and deliver threats, vowing Thursday to escalate the Mideast war.

President Biden, in a slight toughening of his Iran policies, now claims that he has delivered a strong message to Tehran: “My warning to the Ayatollah was that if they continue to move against those troops, we will respond, and he should be prepared,” he said Wednesday.

“When the murderous Iranian FM wanted to come to NYC in 2020, I said no,” a former secretary of state, Michael Pompeo, wrote on X, referring to the time America denied a visa to another foreign minister, Javad Zarif.

In contrast, the current foreign minister — a man who has “blood on his hands” — is allowed in. Even as Mr. Abdollahian “sits in luxury in our country, his regime is holding innocent Americans hostage in horrific conditions,” Mr. Pompeo added.

After Rushdie Stabbing Iranian State Media Calls For More Attacks Targeting Pompeo And Trump

Seemingly in response to the recent stabbing of Salam Rushdie, a famous author, one Iranian newspaper, whose editor is chosen and controlled by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, put out an editorial that threatened the assassination of former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former President Donald Trump.

As the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world, the despotic theocratic regime in Iran had previously lauded Hadi Matar, who allegedly carried out the stabbing of Rushdie, an author who had been slammed with a death warrant multiple decades ago by the Iranian regime.

The published editorial from the Kayhan newspaper stated, ” … it is now the turn of Trump and Pompeo … God has taken his revenge on Rushdie. The attack on him shows it is not a difficult job to take similar revenge on Trump and Pompeo and from now on they will feel more in danger for their lives,” reported The Telegraph.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo slammed President Joe Biden for his assessment of the troop-withdrawal deal with the Taliban, and told the National Review that critics partially blaming the Trump administration for the current situation in Afghanistan are way off base.

"It is nonsense," Pompeo told the National Review of the criticism. "It is, in fact, nonsense on stilts."

Gina Haspel, Chosen by President Trump as first woman to head CIA

President Donald Trump's pick to head the CIA, Gina Haspel, would be the first female director of the intelligence agency if confirmed.

Haspel, who served as deputy director of the agency under Mike Pompeo, Trump's pick to replace Rex Tillerson as secretary of state, since February 2017, has accepted the new role, saying in a statement that she was "grateful to President Trump for the opportunity, and humbled by his confidence in" her.

Haspel is a career intelligence officer who joined the CIA in 1985.
