Baghdad gets warning from Marco

Rubio Delivered a Warning to Iraq and Baghdad Pretended Not to Hear It

A missile just hit a helipad inside the US Embassy in Baghdad.

That's not a near miss. That's not a warning shot.

That's Iran's hired guns telling America to get out – and Iraq's prime minister is sitting on his hands while it happens.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio called Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. The message was unambiguous: the Iraqi government must take all possible measures to safeguard U.S. diplomatic personnel and facilities.

Sudani's response was a masterpiece of deliberate nothing.

His office put out a statement affirming Iraq's "commitment to protecting diplomatic missions" – and conspicuously failed to mention Iran, the militias, or the 300-plus drone and missile attacks that have hammered U.S. positions and Kurdish civilians since Operation Epic Fury began on February 28.

The Popular Mobilization Forces – the umbrella network of Iran-backed militias running the attacks – are "paid and armed by the Iraqi government."

Since 2015, the U.S. Department of State provided Iraq with $1.25 billion in Foreign Military Financing (FMF) to improve Iraq’s long-term sustainment and logistics capabilities and fund ISF professionalization.

Penny For Your Thoughts

America buries the penny after decades of costly nostalgia

"The U.S. retires the penny after 232 years, ending a costly tradition and marking a rare step toward fiscal sanity.

A penny could never buy you much, but what it lacked in economic prowess, it held an outsized place in Americana, instantly recognizable both physically and symbolically. Pennies were tucked in every pocket, scattered under couch cushions, and immortalized in Ben Franklin’s wisdom of “a penny saved is a penny earned.” Words that were a creed of a simpler time that leaves behind only nostalgia for a coin that could never buy much, but embodied thrift and austerity.

We have traded nostalgia for necessity. But in that trade, something tender slips away.In its place, we gain efficiency, fiscal restraint, and a currency system that reflects reality rather than melancholy, underscoring that sometimes, the smallest change makes the biggest difference.

Critics argue that ending the minting of the penny expunges a piece of American life. Symbolic gestures should not come at a nine-figure annual cost. The Treasury’s decision underscores fiscal responsibility, as the government should not spend more to make money than the money is worth.

The penny will live on as a collector’s item, a teaching tool, and a nostalgic artifact. There are 240 billion in circulation, so it’s not going anywhere too soon. Its image of Lincoln remains iconic, and its role in American lore is secure.

But coins are meant to circulate, not linger as artifacts in our pockets and mason jars tucked away in a closet. The Treasury’s decision acknowledges that currency must serve the economy, not sentiment.

The penny may be gone, but its mythology still jingles. Saving pennies seems almost pointless in our seemingly cashless world. At one time, we were “in for a penny, in for a pound,” but that pound costs a pretty penny, and the old adage asking for a “penny for your thoughts” now comes with a subscription fee.

A hard job was “working for pennies,” while someone who was tight with their spending was a “penny pincher.” Some complain they don’t have “a penny to their name” but still maintain their oversized morning latte.

Such a legacy reminds us that even in a world moving toward a cashless society, irony still holds value, especially when there are plenty of puns to spend my two cents on with no change required." [Greg Maresca-Substack]

Loser of the Week - Democrats advantage with News Media

Halperin delivers brutal assessment of Democrats’ media dependency

Political veteran Mark Halperin dropped a bombshell analysis that sent shockwaves through Democrat circles this week. The "2-Way" host didn’t mince words when he declared the Left’s "asymmetrical advantage in media" his official "loser of the week."

"It’s a paradigm shift, and they don’t recognize what a crutch that’s been for them," Halperin explained during his show with Sean Spicer.

The seasoned political observer outlined how Democrats have become dangerously dependent on friendly media outlets to carry their water.

"The left’s presumption that they can asymmetrically dominate the media" is crumbling before their eyes, Halperin noted. Democrats overplayed their hand so badly that Americans started looking elsewhere for information and services.

New York Times columnist David Brooks explained, "The government has contracted with, I think, two-thirds of the nonprofits in this country to provide services. And a lot of those — money goes to pretty left-wing organizations."

Republicans finally have the votes and political will to act on longstanding grievances about taxpayer-funded left-wing activism.

DOGE exposed Stacey Abrams

Stacey Abrams

Stacey Abrams in 2018: $200,000 in debt
Stacey Abrams in 2022: $3.17 million net worth
Stacey Abrams in 2024: Extort $2 billion from taxpayers

Have you noticed, Democrats, that members of your party are crooked?

Stacey Abrams is under fire after DOGE, led by Elon Musk, exposed $2B in taxpayer funds tied to her role at Power Forward Communities via Rewiring America. Biden’s EPA shoveled this cash—part of a $20B green fund—to her nonprofit, despite its mere $100 in revenue.

Remember Stacey Abrams? She ran for governor of Georgia in 2018 and lost. And spent the next four years claiming she actually won. She has been described as having a “room temperature IQ” although this has not prevented her from becoming incredibly rich.

Remember how she ran for governor of Georgia again in 2022? And lost.

But by then she was on to bigger things and the $2 billion was a Joe Biden scheme.

Read more about the now wealthy loser, Stacey

Power Forward Communities was established in October 2023 as a coalition led by Rewiring America, where Abrams serves as senior counsel.

Tt was revealed that the Biden administration had transferred the $20 billion, including Power Forward Communities’ share, to an account at Citibank before leaving office in January 2025.

This move, described as unusual by critics, limited the Trump administration’s oversight and ability to reclaim the funds. Lee Zeldin has prioritized retrieving these funds, calling the arrangement a “scheme” and highlighting concerns over transparency and potential waste. He noted that the allocation to an organization with minimal operational history—20 million times its reported revenue—was “extremely concerning.” Gimme a break!

Trillions of your $$$$ went into a Black Hole

Crooks! Trillions Lost: Govt’s Massive Blackhole Fund

In a stunning revelation, Elon Musk’s DOGE team has exposed that a staggering $4.7 trillion in taxpayer money was funneled into what can only be described as a governmental black hole.

The implications of this discovery have sent shockwaves throughout the nation (other than with Democrats, of course), as the federal government allegedly failed to trace these funds properly.

According to the DOGE team’s findings, “$4.7 trillion dollars in payments were left blank,” making it nearly untraceable and creating a significant accountability issue. This oversight was largely due to the optional nature of the Treasury Access Symbol (TAS), an identification code meant to link Treasury payments to specific budget line items.

The negligence displayed by leaving the TAS field optional resulted in a lack of transparency regarding how taxpayer money was spent. DOGE revealed, “In the Federal Government, the TAS field was optional for ~$4.7 Trillion in payments and was often left blank, making traceability almost impossible.”

However, there is light at the end of the tunnel: As of Saturday, this is now a required field, increasing insight into where money is actually going."

In a time when accountability is of the utmost importance, the American people can rest assured that leaders like President Trump are hard at work. They are prioritizing transparency and efficiency, ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, not vanishing into bureaucratic obscurity.
