Chilling plot targets Ivanka Trump’s Florida home

A new report says Ivanka Trump was pulled into a dangerous terror plot tied to an IRGC-trained operative. The allegation is simple and chilling. The target was the First Daughter. The motive, according to sources and investigators, was revenge for the U.S. strike that killed Iranian general Qasem Soleimani.

Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, a 32-year-old Iraqi national, was arrested on May 15 in Turkey and later extradited to the United States. Federal officials say he is a senior member of Kata’ib Hizballah, a U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organization.

The Justice Department also says he worked as an operative tied to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and was involved in nearly 20 attacks and attempted attacks across Europe and the United States.

According to the New York Post, Al-Saadi had even obtained a blueprint of Ivanka Trump’s Florida home. Sources said he was talking openly about killing her.

“After Qasem was killed, he [Al-Saadi] went around telling people ‘we need to kill Ivanka to burn down the house of Trump the way he burned down our house,’” Entifadh Qanbar, a former deputy military attaché in the Iraqi embassy in Washington told The Post.

A missile just hit a helipad inside the US Embassy in Baghdad.

His office put out a statement affirming Iraq's "commitment to protecting diplomatic missions" – and conspicuously failed to mention Iran, the militias, or the 300-plus drone and missile attacks that have hammered U.S. positions and Kurdish civilians since Operation Epic Fury began on February 28.

The Popular Mobilization Forces – the umbrella network of Iran-backed militias running the attacks – are "paid and armed by the Iraqi government."

US Personnel Wounded in Attack Against Base in Iraq

Several U.S. personnel were injured in a suspected rocket attack at a military base in Iraq, U.S. defense officials said Monday, in what has been a recent uptick in strikes on American forces by Iranian-backed militias.

The attack comes as tensions across the Middle East are spiking following the killings last week of a senior Hezbollah commander in Lebanon and Hamas’ top political leader in Iran, in suspected Israeli strikes. Both groups are backed by Iran.

The U.S. defense officials said troops at al-Asad air base were still assessing the injuries and damage. Earlier Monday, Iraqi security officials confirmed the attack, but no group has claimed responsibility.

The attack comes amid extremely high tensions in the Middle East, as the US has been bracing for Iranian retaliation against Israel over the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran last week.

Israel has not commented on the killing of Haniyeh. Hezbollah in Lebanon has also vowed retaliation on Israel after the assassination of one of its top commanders in Beirut less than a day before Haniyeh’s killing.

It also comes just days after Austin ordered additional military assets to the region, sending a carrier strike group, a fighter squadron and additional warships to the Middle East.

US officials have long blamed attacks on troops in Iraq and Syria on Iran-backed militia groups.

Three armed attack drones were shot down in two separate attacks on an outpost near Erbil airport, in Iraq, hosting U.S. and coalition troops Tuesday, Reuters reported, citing a statement by Iraqi Kurdistan’s security service.

The attacks, if confirmed by the Pentagon, would bring the total of Iran-backed militia attacks on bases hosting American military personnel to 40 since Oct. 17. The dozens of attacks have largely focused on US and coalition forces at Al-Asad Airbase, Iraq, and al-Tanf Garrison, Syria, with some attacks near Mission Support Site Green Village in Syria; Bashur, Iraq; Mission Support Site Euphrates, Syria; Erbil Airbase, Iraq; Shaddadi, Syria; Rumalyn Landing Zone, Syria; and Tall Baydar, Syria.

Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of Iraqi terrorist groups operating at Iran’s behest, claimed an successful attack on Al-Harir military base northeast of Erbil airport early Tuesday morning, according to Reuters and a statement from the group.

Hours later, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq also said it attacked the “American occupation base at Erbil Airport with drones, directly hitting their targets.” There was no evidence that the one-way attack drones impacted their targets, however.

Iraq’s Supreme Court has issued an arrest warrant for former President Donald Trump over the death of Iran’s Quds Force commander, Gen. Qasem Soleimani, on Iraqi soil, according to a state-run media outlet based in Baghdad.

Iraqi News noted that “President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, announced on Thursday the issuance of an arrest warrant for former U.S. President Donald Trump.” The warrant is also for the killing of the then-Iraqi militia leader, chief of staff of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in Iraq.

Sky News Arabia earlier reported that five long-range ballistic missiles targeted the site of a U.S. Consulate currently under construction there. It later reported that “12 ballistic missiles” were launched “from outside Iraq,” citing a statement from the counter-terrorism forces in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

“Seeing reports of Iran-backed attacks on the U.S. consulate in Iraq,” Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) said on Twitter. “This aggression shows we should absolutely end all Iran Nuclear Deal negotiations now. We must also never buy Iranian oil.”

The base’s defense system engaged “two fixed-wing suicide drones,” an official of the U.S.-led international military coalition said. Both were downed “without incident” and no injuries were sustained."

“This was a dangerous attack on a civilian airport,” the coalition official said in a statement. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack as of yet but it happened on the two-year anniversary of the assassination of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani. Soleimani was killed by a drone strike near the Baghdad airport under the Trump administration.
