Rama Duwaji at Islamic Retreat

NYC first lady joins luxury Islamic retreat whose organizers pushed to abolish Israe

New York City’s first lady Rama Duwaji is wrapping up a week as artist-in-residence at a Portuguese castle retreat whose organizers have repeatedly called for abolishing Israel and “cleansing” the land of Jews.

Duwaji, the wife of Mayor Zohran Mamdani, is finishing a stint with Women Sanctuary at the Paço da Glória near Porto, an 18th-century castle now used as a high-end hotel and event space. The Washington Free Beacon reported she is listed on the group’s site as a team member under the name “Karl Holland” and is believed to be leading Arabic calligraphy work during the second session of the month.

The same organization has a documented record of hard-line anti-Israel messaging on Instagram. That record now sits beside the first lady of America’s largest city, weeks into her husband’s mayoralty and after he rolled out a strategy to combat antisemitism that many Jewish New Yorkers rejected.

Five nights in a private room at the retreat list for roughly $5,216. Shared rooms run about $4,300. The setting is not a community center. It is a Portuguese castle roughly an hour from Porto, marketed as luxury Islamic wellness.

Islamist Center in west Delray?

The connection to Boca is worth watching. The Islamic Center of Boca Raton operates Garden of the Sahaba Academy, an Islamic school whose curriculum includes Arabic, Quran, and Islamic Studies.

The county records reviewed so far don’t establish that Garden of the Sahaba will become the West Delray school, but the Islamic Center of Boca Raton and Islamic Center of West Delray Beach appearing together on the place-of-worship application makes the relationship between the organizations a fair question.

There’s another reference buried in the county paperwork. During review of the school project, Palm Beach County Water Utilities described the contemplated future use as an elementary and secondary school “with gymnasium and place of worship.” Very few people appear to have been paying attention when this went through the approval process.

In 2023 the Zoning Commission recommended approval 7–0. County staff reported receiving no contacts from the public about the application when its report was prepared. The Board of County Commissioners approved the school and daycare conditional uses that September.

Duwaji to travel to Portugal for third Islamic Retreat

NYC first lady Rama Duwaji heads to Portugal for third luxury Islamic retreat of 2026

New York City's first lady is set to spend nearly two weeks at a posh Islamic calligraphy retreat in the Portuguese countryside this September, her third European getaway with the same organization this year, while critics say she has shown more interest in overseas travel than in the city her husband governs.

Rama Duwaji, the 29-year-old wife of Mayor Zohran Mamdani, will serve as "artist-in-residence" at a "Journey through Islamic Calligraphy" retreat hosted by The Women Sanctuary at a manor house in Arcos de Valdevez, near Porto, Portugal. The retreat runs two sessions, September 16, 21 and September 25, 30, and costs attendees between $4,300 for a shared room and $5,260 for a private room with a private bathroom, the New York Post reported.

The manor's amenities include a heated outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool, and landscaped gardens. The retreat's website promises days spent "exploring the rich history of Islam in Portugal" alongside calligraphy workshops, picnics, poolside hangouts, and walks, all wrapped in language about "spiritual reflection" and "suhbah," an Arabic term for spiritual companionship.

Three Islamic retreats in three months, and a September packed with travel--

The Portugal trip marks Duwaji's third Women Sanctuary retreat in 2026. She attended the first on the Spanish resort island of Mallorca over the Fourth of July weekend, skipping America's 250th birthday celebration. The second ran July 9, 14 in Corsica, France, honoring what the organization described as "the legacy of Mary, the most honored woman in the Quran."

Duwaji is also slated to visit Lebanon and Syria at some point in September, though the specific dates have not been disclosed. Both countries sit on the U.S. State Department's "Do Not Travel" list for Americans.

Rising Socialist/Communists Islamists in NYC

Socialist congressional candidate confirms relationship with Mamdani's top lawyer

who once represented al Qaeda-linked detainees

Darializa Avila Chevalier, the 32-year-old presumptive Democratic congresswoman backed by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, has confirmed she is in a romantic relationship with Ramzi Kassem.

Ramzi Kassem is the 48-year-old attorney who serves as Mamdani's chief legal counsel and who previously represented Guantanamo Bay detainees linked to al Qaeda, including one man described as a "close associate" of Osama bin Laden.

The relationship, which became official in 2023, ties together three figures at the center of New York's rising socialist left: a congressional candidate, the mayor who endorsed her, and the lawyer who advises him, all bound by shared activism, overlapping professional work, and now personal romance.

The Washington Free Beacon reported the details of the arrangement, drawing on a statement Chevalier provided to City and State.

The facts raise pointed questions about political entanglement, and about the network of relationships shaping who gets endorsed, who gets hired, and who gets sent to Congress from New York City.

"Death to America," Death to Israel," said Mojtaba Khamenei

Iranian Leader Khamenei Issues Defiant Message Amid Ongoing Negotiations

The message comes amid a tense standoff between Iran and the United States, as negotiations continue for a possible diplomatic settlement of the war.

Iranian leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a message on May 26 calling for greater unity across the Muslim world against the United States and Israel, saying that the chants “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” will become the rallying slogans of Muslims and “the oppressed of the world.”

Khamenei’s message was to mark Hajj, the annual Islamic pilgrimage. In it, Khamenei described a historic struggle against U.S. and Israeli influence in the Middle East, repeatedly invoking the revolutionary slogan “Allahu Akbar” as the “weapon” that had enabled Iran and its allies to resist outside pressure.

He said Iran had succeeded in “making the Zionist regime helpless under its severe blows during the second imposed war” and in delivering “a harsh slap to aggressive America,” while thwarting efforts to force Tehran into submission.

The statement also praised what it called the “Resistance Front,” saying Iranian forces and allied fighters in Lebanon had secured “notable victories” against “the two terrorist armies, armed to the teeth by the American-Zionist side.”

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio similarly said Trump would not accept a “bad deal” with Iran and warned that Washington would pursue “another way” if diplomacy failed.

A New Generation Rising

Marco Hunter Lopez

Stood before Congress and told them about the Islamification of his school

It was just weeks ago that Act for America alerted their members to the troubling events unfolding at Wiley High School in Texas. A story of blatant double standards and the steady Islamification of a public school district quickly made national headlines and went viral.

At the center of it all was a courageous sophomore named Marco Hunter Lopez, who refused to stay silent as his school promoted Islamic initiatives while suppressing conservative voices. From that moment, Marco stepped boldly onto the national stage, testifying before Congress to expose the growing encroachment of radical ideologies in American education.

Marco’s testimony was nothing short of inspiring. As a young man who founded the Republican Club at his high school, he detailed how administrators enthusiastically embraced World Hijab Day—his own principal proudly wearing the hijab and posting about how much she “loved it.”

Meanwhile, his club faced repeated obstacles: denied approval at first, stripped of privileges other groups enjoyed, and even having posters torn down. The contrast was stark. Marco revealed that libraries in his district, including McMillan Junior High, stocked copies of the Quran while refusing to offer the Bible. When he sought answers, principals reportedly avoided him. This is not education—it is indoctrination.

He went toe-to-toe with lawmakers who attempted to tear him down, most notably Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD). When Raskin invoked centuries of religious conflict and the separation of church and state to deflect concerns about American heritage, Marco remained steady.

He clarified that he was not calling for a theocracy, but simply urging Congress to acknowledge America’s foundational Christian heritage—the very values that shaped our Constitution and our republic. [Act for America]

Jew visits Islamic Center and denounces Israel

Democrat candidate spoke at mosque event where imam prayed for infidels to be killed

What a miserable idiot

Visits Islamic center to denounce Israel. Expresses hope to partner with Mamdani

Democratic congressional candidate Brad Lander quoted the Quran before an imam reportedly prayed for "the killing of infidels" during a recent mosque visit.

During a visit to the Al-Khoei Islamic Center in Queens, New York, Lander described himself as "a proud Jewish New Yorker" before denouncing "Israel's genocide in Gaza," MEMRI reported May 15.

He expressed his desire to partner with Democratic New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar.

Lander is currently running for New York's 30th congressional district. He is the former comptroller of New York City, and a close ally of Mamdani.

Green Card Revoked held by Iranian

US State Department Revokes Green Card of Iranian Whose Mother Was Involved in 1979 Hostage Crisis

‘Her family should never have been allowed to benefit from the extraordinary privilege of living in our country,’ Rubio said in a post on X.

Three Iranian nationals with ties to the Iranian regime were detained this week after the U.S. government ended their lawful permanent resident statuses.

Seyed Eissa Hashemi, Maryam Tahmasebi, and their son are in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) until they are removed from the United States, according to the U.S. State Department.

Eissa Hashemi is the son of Masoumeh Ebtekar, whom Secretary of State Marco Rubio identified as “Screaming Mary.” Rubio also said she was the spokeswoman for the Islamic terrorists who took American hostages at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979 and held them for 444 days. Rubio said on X that during their captivity, the hostages were starved, beaten, and subjected to mock executions.

“Her family should never have been allowed to benefit from the extraordinary privilege of living in our country,” Rubio said in a post on X. “America can never become home for anti-American terrorists or their families—and under the Trump Administration, it never will.”

The State Department said that Ebtekar “crafted propaganda” that falsely showed that the American hostages were being treated humanely and that the hostages were pressured to say they were not being abused.

Ebtekar eventually married one of the hostage takers and rose in the senior leadership of Iran’s revolutionary regime, according to the State Department.

Hashemi, Tahmasebi, and their son came to the United States in 2014 on visas issued by the Obama administration.

Democrat Congressman Hank Johnson, a special kind of stupid

'Great Satan': Congressman takes talking point from Iran with anti-American insult

Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., a member of Congress who exhibited his brilliance a few years back by fretting in public that Guam might "tip over" and "capsize," now is drawing on the talking points of the rogue Islamic regime in Iran for his comments.

He's calling America the "great Satan," as adherents to Tehran's violent and anti-American agenda have for years.

His most recent wild statements prompted the Gateway Pundit to note: "He really is a special kind of stupid, isn't he?"

And, "'Who votes for representation like this? This man isn't qualified to run a lemonade stand."

Here he is parroting the Islamic talking point:
His most recent stunner came during his appearance on the Dean Obeidallah podcast, when he expressed his concern that America is, in fact, the "great Satan" of Iranian talking points.

That is a line the Islamists have been known to use over recent years.

His response came to a question from Obeidallah about President Donald Trump and his strikes on apparent drug runners trying to deliver death to Americans.

Iran, Number One Terrorist Nation

The Iranian Regime Is Preparing Its Next War

Since its inception, the current Iranian regime has not been built on peace, but on the sword. From the very first day of their 1979 revolution, the Ayatollahs established a theocracy whose core mission was not just to govern, but to export its revolution across the world and impose its radical Shia Islamist doctrine on others.

The regime’s founding ideology is built on conquering people and lands through terror, deception and force.

The revolutionary slogans of the regime are not about coexistence or mutual respect; they are about domination, erasing enemies, and building an empire under the flag of the Supreme Leader. The Islamic Republic of Iran’s constitution actually mandates exporting the revolution.

Spreading its ideology beyond its borders is not an option, it is a structural principle of the state itself. The regime has never sought to win influence by persuasion or diplomacy, but through nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles, and global assassinations.

Today, Iran’s revolutionary ambitions are cloaked in a modern arsenal of advanced weaponry and covert operations. While the regime continues to brandish religious slogans and revolutionary rhetoric, its true instrument of influence is violence.

The regime uses its nuclear weapons program and ballistic missiles as both a shield and a spear — a way to protect its power domestically and threaten its adversaries abroad.

The West must not fall into the dangerous delusion that the regime has become rational, restrained, or pragmatic –– one of the most perilous illusions in international politics today.

Iran’s regime is already plotting its next war: 2,000 missiles pointed at Israel to swarm it all at once and overwhelm its interceptors.

Islam Taking over the World

New York City May Now Have More Muslims Than Jews

Behind Zohran Mamdani surge is demographic shift

It’s close, but Muslims in New York may now outnumber Jews.

It’s a demographic race with political implications.

Analysts trying to understand why Canada, Britain, and France are moving to recognize a Palestinian state have pointed to demographic shifts and growing Muslim populations in those countries.

The New York City story is more complicated to piece together. In the U.S., unlike in many other countries, the federal government does not collect religious affiliation data. But there’s mounting, if less than 100 percent conclusive, evidence that America’s largest city matches the global trend of Islam gaining ground owing in part to birth rates and migration.

Zohran Mamdani

Zohran Mamdani: The Islamo-Leftist Trojan Horse in New York Politics

Excerpts from Richard Luthmann; Substack article of Jun 26 · This is For Real.

"Zohran Mamdani is not just a socialist candidate—he’s the canary in the coal mine for a far more dangerous movement. His rise marks the fusion of identitarian wokeism with Islamist apologism—a worldview hostile to liberal democracy, national identity, and basic Western values.

Mamdani has praised Hamas-linked figures, justified violent uprisings, and surrounded himself with extremists who glorify political assassins. Yet he’s being framed as a progressive trailblazer. If elected mayor of New York City, Mamdani will serve as a cultural battering ram—normalizing the ideological rot of Islamo-gauchisme under the guise of “social justice.” Voters beware.

The likely next mayor of New York City embodies all the sinister orthodoxies of contemporary groupthink

Zohran Mamdani, a 33-year-old socialist, has just won the NYC mayoral primary. He is now odds-on to become the city’s first Muslim mayor.

Born in Uganda to Indian parents, Mamdani moved to the U.S. as a child and became a naturalised citizen in 2018. His rise has been rapid—until relatively recently, most New Yorkers had never heard of him.

He’s being lauded as a compassionate warrior for social justice, which is generally a very reliable indicator that the opposite is true. And so it proves in this case.

Here are a few highlights:

• In 2017, Mamdani released a rap track called ‘Salaam’, about growing up Muslim in New York, in which he expresses his ‘love’ for five men known as the ‘Holy Land Five’. This is a reference to the heads of the now-defunct Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development—Shukri Abu Baker, Mohammad El-Mezain, Ghassan Elashi, Mufid Abdulqader and Abdulrahman Odeh—who were convicted by a federal jury in 2008 of channelling millions of dollars to Hamas, a proscribed terrorist organisation.
• He’s defended cries of ‘globalise the intifada’ as ‘capturing a desire for equality’. For context, “Intifada” implies ‘bloody violence and calls for the death and murder of Jewish Israelis – civilian or otherwise.’ During previous ‘intifadas’ suicide bombers and knifemen targeted civilians throughout Israel at cafés, restaurants full of kids, hotels, wedding ceremonies, shopping malls, nightclubs, and bus stations, resulting in many hundreds of deaths.
• On Oct 8 2023, while a jihadist pogrom that would ultimately claim over 1200 lives was still ongoing, he tweeted taking aim at…Israeli ‘apartheid and occupation’. His post singled out Netanyahu and the Israeli government for criticism by name, but didn’t once mention Hamas. This presumably made his father Mahmood Mamdani, an academic at Columbia University who teaches about ‘the necessity of violence in anti-colonial struggle’ (and one of his donors), very proud. Mamdani Senior has called for the ‘dismantling of the Jewish state’, and signed a public letter referring to Hamas’ massacre as ‘an occupied people exercising a right to resist violent and illegal occupation’. Nice family. What better way to show gratitude to your host nation than by fraudulently depicting it as an oppressive dystopia and making pseudo-intellectual arguments in defence of movements that pose real threats to liberty, tolerance and free thought?
• His voting behaviour raises a few questions to say the least. For instance, why would a man lauded for his supposed commitment to fighting ‘bigotry’ in all its forms fail to sign a State Assembly resolution commemorating Holocaust victims? A real noodle-scratcher…
• In light of the points listed so far, it’s perhaps unsurprising that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) have allegedly backed him to the tune of many thousands of dollars. CAIR was originally founded in 1994 as part of a broader network linked to the Islamic Association for Palestine, which U.S. authorities identified as a propaganda arm of Hamas in the U.S. One of its co-founders has stated, quote, ‘I am in support of the Hamas movement’, its officials have repeatedly refused to condemn Islamist and jihadist outfits including Hamas and Hezbollah in interviews, and it has reportedly teamed up with Muslim Brotherhood-linked preachers.
• At the height of the Maoist-style moral panic around race in 2020, Mamdani fanned its flames. He called explicitly for the police to be defunded—despite the near-certainty that this would lead to a sharp rise in violent crime and fatalities within the black community—and pushed to abolish certain standardised tests on the grounds that they’re racist, presumably because the only acceptable exam is one that delivers identical outcomes for every ethnic group. He’s also spent years complaining about white privilege (of course).
• He seemingly supports revolutionary communists.
• His campaign political director, Julian Gerson, was revealed to have posted online in praise of Luigi Mangione, who shot UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson — a father of two — in the back and killed him. On facebook, Gerson suggested that a street should be renamed in honour of Mangione, writing he was ‘looking forward to driving down Mangione Avenue a few decades from now.’ Veneration, in other words, for the use of deadly violence against unarmed civilians for political ends.
• Oh yes, and he fakes his accent (as I’ve discussed elsewhere, this is unforgivable). In short, the guy is the embodiment of Islamo-gauchisme. He echoes Islamist talking points while simultaneously parroting all the most fact-lite tenets of identitarian progressivism. And he’s got the backing of everyone from AOC and Jeremy Corbyn, to Nazi-praising Islamic YouTubers."

One of the greatest cities on the planet is doomed if this guy is elected mayor.
