Trump White House Faith Office move has Biden’s crowd fuming

The Left thought they'd driven religion out of American life for good. They spent four years targeting Christians and celebrating everything but Easter.

And Trump just made one faith move that has Biden's crowd fuming. Donald Trump is bringing faith back to the forefront of American life in ways that would've been unthinkable just a year ago.

The White House now openly celebrates Christianity with a boldness Democrats spent years trying to stamp out.

Trump created the White House Faith Office in February with Paula White as senior advisor, signed executive orders establishing a Religious Liberty Commission, and launched a task force to root out anti-Christian bias in federal agencies.

Trump even issued proclamations for Holy Week and Christmas that put Jesus Christ front and center instead of burying faith under politically correct euphemisms.

Years ago, in December 2017, it was evident that Christianity was not important to a few on the commission. It started when we had the athiest Preston Smith (what ever happened to that guy?) giving a satanic prayer and then it progressed to some Democrat commissioners (we had one athiest on the dais then) deciding to have silent prayers.

The Satanic temple’s leader said it was prepared to take legal action if Florida continued to attempt to thwart Satanists’ access to schools."

Some of you will remember when atheist Preston Smith gave the invocation at City Hall. This was back on December 2, 2014. The commission was so outraged that they all walked out after inviting him to speak. Chris McVoy was the only commissioner left in the room. Even atheist, Andy Amoroso walked out.

Back then, Preston Smith, whose father was a minister, taught language arts at a Boca Raton middle school, said he planed to display a 300-pound metal Satanic pentagram, sporting “One Nation Under Antichrist,” “May The Children Hail Satan,” and “In Satan We Trust,” in Sanborn Square in Boca Raton. The City got rid of that guy and he was never allowed to give an invocation again.

Federal Court Strikes Down Satanic Temple Prayer

In a win for everything that is decent a federal judge has recently dismissed a lawsuit filed by The Satanic Temple against the City of Boston. According to the Boston Herald, the Judge ruled that the city council did not discriminate against the group by refusing to grant its request to deliver an invocation at a recent weekly meeting.

In a 31-page ruling, Angel Kelley, a U.S. District Court Judge wrote that speakers delivering opening prayers “are invited at the discretion of the individual city councilors.”

If you were here in 2014-15, you might remember when we had to deal with the Satanists--Preston Smith and Chaz Stevens.

One of them said--

Back then, The satanists were threatening the City of Lake Worth with a civil rights suit. Later on, the city finally allowed Preston to give his satanic invocation as they are paranoid about lawsuits and the entire dais walked out, minus one.

With this new federal ruling, city commissions don't have to be intimidated and can refuse their requests. It's no longer a First Amendment right.

Do you all remember back in 2015 when we had to deal with the Satanists--Preston Smith and Chaz Stevens.

Back then, he was threatening the City of Lake Worth with a civil rights suit. The only thing the city is guilty of is ignoring his request to appear before the commission for two minutes to chant, rant or whatever.

So these warped people will have another convention and they expect it to be sold out. It is being held in April in Boston. It's a group that argues that the murder of babies in the womb is their religious sacrament.

SatanCon 2023 attendees are required to show proof of COVID vaccination and wear N-95, KN-95, or surgical masks at all times.

A federal court last night struck down the Brevard County, Fla., Board of County Commissioners’ policy of excluding non-theists from giving opening invocations, a ruling that is being hailed by the groups that sponsored the litigation.

In its ruling, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida said a local governing body cannot limit its invocation speakers to those from monotheistic religions.

Where there's a will, there's a way, they say. The commission changed it's policy regarding invocations. Now, on a rotating basis, they choose the speaker or offer a moment of silence.

Lake Worth Invocations

Atheist Preston Smith mentioned Jesus, Allah, Satan and Thor. Smith ended the invocation by saying, “And so we prayed. So what?”

Most of us believe in prayer. Atheists make up about 3.1% of our population but we, being politically correct, bowed down to them and voted to change our invocation procedure to knock them out of the loop of free speech. We also catered to the "progressives" who also hate prayer but they hate anything that disagrees with their narrative.  Everyone has the right to be silly, but why do we continue to allow the minority to control the message?

Tonight is the city commission meeting--the only one we will have in the month of December. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag will be led by Vice Mayor Maxwell. However, we are not going to be very spiritual tonight as the invocation will be a "Moment of Silence."

If you recall, it was said that the rotation process where each member on the dais could say his own invocation, have a moment of silent prayer or invite someone of their choosing to give an inspirational message and still follow the Supreme Court decision that was mentioned by the city attorney, was voted in on a 4/1 vote.

Trying to get to the bottom of the rotation process and what commissioner is responsible for what meeting is undetermined at this time. No one seems to know the answer to this.

The city clerk says, "There are no records for the Commission rotation or moment of silence responsibility." Now, don't you think, as this was voted by the commission to change its procedure where each one of them would have the responsibility of deciding before a commission meeting on a rotation basis, that they would at least be curious enough to ask when they were on the schedule to decide for all of us whether or not we get to hear an invocation or not?

If no one knows, especially the city clerk, then was this meeting in November really about fooling and appeasing us in order to eliminate invocations altogether? I guess they thought we wouldn't notice.

Dear Ms. Lopez,

I am hereby requesting available dates to give an upcoming atheistic invocation. 

This year's invocation will invoke and summon the great and powerful Egyptian god Horus, whom the Jesus character is largely based upon.

It should be noted that during my last invocation on 12/2/14, Madam Mayor made a discriminatory oversight by failing to address me by name and title, "Preston Smith of American Atheists", as was clearly outlined on the agenda. Whereas, Mayor Triolo has consistently addressed every other invocation speaker by their name and religious affiliation. May I remind Mayor Triolo of the Lake Worth's Civil Rights Act, Section 20-1, which "...desires to secure for its citizens freedom from discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, handicap or marital status and thereby to protect their interest in personal dignity..." (emphasis added).

Please also respond to the following concerns:

During my last invocation on 12/2/14, four out of five commissioners walked out of the room. The lone commissioner who stayed, Christopher McVoy, told the newspapers the walkout was disrespectful and "un-American." The article went on to say, he also found it "weird" that they all marched out at the same time, and wondered if there was any prior discussion amongst the group about their seemingly coordinated action. If there was, that would raise questions about a possible Sunshine Law violation. Two or more commissioners are not supposed to talk to each other about matters that might come up at meetings or official city business without public notice.

More importantly, according to Lake Worth Code of Ordinance, Section 2-248, "A majority of the commissioners constitutes a quorum for the purpose of conducting business..." If a quorum is present, the Council may proceed. In other words, if the walkout happens again and leaves a minority of commissioners in the chambers, I may very well stand there demanding a quorum, therefore calling on the Council to move to recess or adjourn

Atlantic Blvd., the location of Parcels Plus, where his Yelp listing says “Abandon all hope. After all, this is Pompano Beach. A Christmas Message

This year, it just dawned on me that I have been more consumed with Christmas than in any other year especially over the past several days.  I believe I can attribute this more intense interest to Preston Smith the atheist and his side-kick Chaz Stevens the Satanist.  People have a way of inspiring you whether you know it or not--inspire to a deeper level of meaning exerted directly on your mind or soul.  And for me, Smith's atheist speech brought out those feelings even more. I also believe that you had to be a witness to his non-belief to know how wrong he is and in that revelation, it helped solidify my own beliefs that I had not really dwelled upon but simply took for granted. But no matter what the inspiration, this is a video that IS the spirit of Christmas.

Said in a Palm Beach Post interview regarding the atheist, Preston Smith, who gave the invocation before a Lake Worth City Commission meeting.

Personally, all groups should be allowed to give an invocation. Anything said that you don't agree with or is ridiculous or repugnant should be simply ignored. Invocations are given in Congress and in the Senate of the United States. The First Amendment requires governments, including municipalities and Boards of Education, to remain religiously neutral; they may not promote either a religious or a secular way of life.

If we eliminate the invocation, as some people as well as the city manager have suggested, and go to a silent prayer, the atheists win.  The small minority of people causing havoc win. You will have allowed yourself to be jerked around by people on ego trips or only seeking national publicity at the expense of your rights.  Don't get bogged down by the separation of church and state, an expression that does not even appear in the U.S. Constitution. That's their argument. But this is what the world is coming to--people giving in to the minority voice.

Madam Mayor, 

Your recent public Facebook post is outrageously slanderous toward my image and I am urging you to immediately remove it and issue an apology to repair any damage caused.  The libelous nature of your maligned blame is nothing short of utterly appalling.  We have taken note that this allegation has been posted on an official Mayoral account, using, presumably, city resources and time.

The Courts have consistently provided wide latitude and protections to First Amendment speech, insofar that instances of parody are, in fact, explicitly protected.  The tweet you are bizarrely referencing is clearly viewed as satirical hyperbole, which any reasonable person can conclude.  

An offensive tweet from a personal account is irrelevant to your indefensible actions of disrespect and victim-blaming as an elected official.  The blatant religious-viewpoint discrimination Lake Worth has demonstrated during my atheistic invocation cannot be excused, no matter how "offensive" you may find them.  Being offended is not the litmus test for holding office, you are here to serve all, or none.  Is this the standard you are setting for future viewpoints you disagree with, be they Satanic, Muslim, or Pastafarian?  Will you Google search all blogs, social media, and cached sites of the speaker to find anything alarming and offensive to your sensibilities?

You will quickly learn by our showing of solidarity, atheists literally prove more knowledgeable of the Bible than Christians (Pew Study, Religious Knowledge Survey, 2010).  We have to be, in order to defend our points against constant attack.  The Bible has many, many brutal methods of savagery, honor rape, torture, arranged marriage to virgin girls, stoning children to death, ethnic cleansing, the suppression of women and gays and atheists (a.k.a. witches, heretics, heathens), human sacrifice, and condoning slavery.  For a plethora of passages to read at Christmas -- originally a Pagan holiday -- I strongly suggest Deuteronomy, Leviticus, and Numbers (see attachment).

Unequivocally, rape under any circumstance is no joke.  The broader point is, rape, child brides, polygamy, concubines, and other horror stories were commonplace during the book's inception (hint: a book written entirely by men).   Practiced during the early Iron Age and throughout the Bronze Age, this immoral behavior was fully endorsed by your god and never corrected by Moses, Jesus, or any other Abrahamic mythical wizard (refer to the 10 Commandments, rape didn't make the cut).  How convenient to ignore those pesky facts, while simultaneously criticizing an atheist for pointing them out in jest, from a personal account, during a debate with a total stranger, six months ago, unrelated to you, and while protected by our secular Constitution's 1st Amendment Freedom of Speech.

I look forward to a retraction and apology at your earliest convenience.

Today, Lake Worth Mayor Pam Triolo and Commissioner Christopher McVoy were interviewed by WPTV, Channel 5 News regarding the atheist, Preston Smith. As you recall, four of the five commissioners walked off the dais before he gave his invocation. "Duly noted," said Smith.

It wasn't so much in what he said, but that the Supreme Court of the United States on a 5/4 decision, has allowed him to do so. As I told Mr. Smith, I thought it appropriate during a different venue such as public commentary but not a lead off prayer at our commission meeting. Most minority groups are pushy when it comes to their "rights."

 Here is Preston Smith's speech:

 Our collective atheism -- which is to say, loving empathy, scientific evidence, and critical thinking -- leads us to believe that we can create a better, more equal community without religious divisions. May we pray together? [pause]

 Mother Earth, we gather today in your redeeming and glorious presence, to invoke your eternal guidance in the Universe – the original Creator of all things. May the efforts of this council blend the righteousness of Allah with the all-knowing wisdom of Satan. May Zeus, the great God of Justice, grant us our strength tonight. Jesus might forgive us of our shortcomings while Buddha enlightens us through His Divine affection. We praise you Krishna, for the sanguine sacrifice that has freed us. After all, if Almighty Thor is with us, who can ever be against us? And finally, for the bounty of logic, reason, and science, we simply thank the atheists, agnostics, and non-religious, who now account for 1 in 5 Americans, and growing rapidly. In closing, let us, above all, love one another, not to obtain mythical rewards for ourselves now, hereafter, or based on superstitious threats of eternal damnation, but rather, embrace secular-based principles of morality – and do good for goodness' sake. And so we prayed….. So what?

 Mr. Smith, a pleasant young man, told me that there was "something else you may find interesting, we recently noticed that only the PB County Commissioners give their religious Invocation -- with strong Christian tones -- to the exclusion of everyone else. We are consulting with attorneys in order to assess what options may be available for Atheists, Satanists, Muslims, Buddhists, and all other "damned to hell" members of our County. If you permit one, you must permit all."

Note:  Preston Smith says that he is a public school teacher, Lake Worth resident (not in the city limits), and member of American Atheists (atheists.org). He was brought up Catholic in Dallas, Texas and he is 34 years old.

Mr. Smith first contacted City Hall on July 16, 2014 with a request to do the invocation. The City replied to him the very next day offering him four possible dates. He chose the one in December, the month closest to Christmas, a most holy day for Christians. I found it personally sad when he said that 20% of Americans are now non-religious.  I truly believe that this is one of the reasons why we have lost our way and a Ferguson is allowed to happen.

Four city commissioners left the room when Mr. Smith began to talk. Commissioner Christopher McVoy stayed to hear the dialogue as did the city manager and city attorney. Words don't hurt anyone and as repugnant the message, the law says that all sides need to be heard. I worry about this message being conveyed in the public school system.

Triolo, Maxwell, Amoroso and Szerdi reentered the chamber after Mr. Smith's invocation.
