It is clear that the Twitter Files, which have been extensively covered by The Gateway Pundit, caused considerable embarrassment to the former Twitter administration and Joe Biden’s team.

In addition, it has been reported that in an effort to protect free speech on X, Elon Musk pushed for the publication of these files. This has had a direct connection to this occurrence.

While testifying before the House Judiciary Committee last Thursday, FTC Chair Lina Khan was grilled by Chairman Jim Jordan about the FTC’s investigations of Twitter since Elon Musk purchased the company last fall, the Daily Caller reported.

Jordan accused Khan of harassing the social media company on behalf of the Democrats, an accusation Khan denied.

In March, the Select Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government released a report which found that since Musk took over the company, the FTC has issued over 350 requests for information from Twitter, including requesting information on the journalists working with Twitter in compiling the so-called “Twitter Files.”

The House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government held a hearing featuring testimony from independent investigative journalists Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger who were involved in the “Twitter Files,” a series of articles on how government agencies and lawmakers interacted with the social media company over content moderation.

You may recognize Michael Shellenberger from his many media appearances. He also ran for governor of California in 2022.

Shellenberger is a liberal who has been red-pilled by what is happening in California, but also by the left’s war on free speech. Shellenberger is one of the people Elon Musk enlisted for the purpose of the Twitter Files.

He is now sounding the alarm about the war on free speech, here in America and around the globe and he suggests that it’s all connected.

The same Democratic minority staff that trashed the First Amendment in last week's Twitter Files hearings put something amazing in writing in a parallel case

"Racket readers may recall that in November, shortly before the Twitter Files began, I ran an interview with Steve Friend, a onetime FBI agent who lost his career after blowing the whistle on the Bureau.

Friend refused to participate in a bureaucratic scheme to put local agents across the country in charge of J6 cases that were really being run out of the Washington office, a plan that made one Washington-based case look like a national map full of domestic terror cases popping up everywhere. He also objected to heavy-handed tactics like the use of S.W.A.T. teams for a suspect communicating voluntarily through an attorney, and the questioning of people in connection with J6 in cases where the state had little to no evidence.

A little over a week ago, the same Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of Government that organized the Twitter Files hearings privately heard testimony from Steve and two other FBI whistleblowers. The Democratic Party response to Steve and his colleagues was eerily similar to tactics pulled out against myself and Mike Shellenberger:

— Mike and I were not real journalists, they said, but “so-called journalists.” Steve and his fellow agents “are not, in fact, whistleblowers,” according to the minority report, and “do not meet the definition of a whistle-blower,” according to the New York Times.

FBI Hid These Facts and Media Covered Them Up As Misinformation

Facts were covered up, concealed and spun left which almost certainly would have had an influence on the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. Internal communications between Twitter and DNC officials reveal the platform colluded with a political party, blacklisted politicians ahead of an election, and shadowbanned accounts for their political opinions.

The files reveal the Democratic party strongarmed Twitter into suppressing critics on its behalf, a practice the First Amendment prohibits the government from exercising. [outkick]

The Twitter Files, Part Six: Twitter, the FBI Subsidiary

Substack writer Matt Taibbi dropped his latest installment of the "Twitter Files" on Friday that detailed the FBI's ties with the tech giant.
 
"The #TwitterFiles are revealing more every day about how the government collects, analyzes, and flags your social media content. Twitter’s contact with the FBI was constant and pervasive, as if it were a subsidiary," Taibbi began the thread on Friday. "Between January 2020 and November 2022, there were over 150 emails between the FBI and former Twitter Trust and Safety chief Yoel Roth… a surprisingly high number are requests by the FBI for Twitter to take action on election misinformation, even involving joke tweets from low-follower accounts."

In response to the "Twitter Files," a spokesperson for the FBI told Fox News Digital, "The FBI regularly engages with private sector entities to provide information specific to identified foreign malign influence actors’ subversive, undeclared, covert, or criminal activities. Private sector entities independently make decisions about what, if any, action they take on their platforms and for their customers after the FBI has notified them."

Yeah, Right.

The thread displayed numerous examples of correspondence between the Twitter and the FBI, mostly pertaining to tweets the FBI had flagged as "possible violative content."

"FBI in one case sent over so many ‘possible violative content’ reports. Twitter personnel congratulated each other in Slack for the ‘monumental undertaking’ of reviewing them," Taibbi wrote, showing a screenshot of the exchange.
